"Because the amount of contribution points would be lacking if you don't follow to work," Mr. Thompson snorted.
He might pamper his son on daily basis but now that the world has changed, he couldn't let his son stayed that way. If they wanted to live well, they had to work and Mr. Thompson couldn't let his son relax all the ti like he used to be.
Pera had to work too.
"But…" Pera frowned but he found his father looking at him coldly.
"You're 18 years old, not 8 years old." Mr. Thompson snorted.
Hearing this, Pera could only stay silent. He actually wanted to go to his mother and file a complaint about his father. But knowing that his mother would side with his father rather than siding with him in so cases, he chose not to.
If he did, his father might only punish him.
These days hadn't been easy.
Before long, Mrs. Thompson returned with a bright smile. "We can eat in the canteen today. Tomorrow, I'll try to find that b*tch again."
The relatives of Mrs. Thompson were all poor and couldn't afford to have a lot of contribution points.
But Riya was staying in the inner area.
Even if this was mostly because of her friendship with others, but Mrs. Thompson believed that her daughter had more contribution points.
In that case, why can't she share so?
It would be good if they could also enjoy this blessing.
"Yes."
Mr. Thompson and Pera agreed.
They ca out and headed to the canteen to eat. Of course, their al was the cheapest porridge and water. Otherwise, their contribution points would not be enough for them to eat.
…
Sophia's side
Stephen, Sophia's older brother, looked at his sister who looked a bit different after coming back ho from work today thoughtfully.
"Did you make a contract with lly?"
Considering Sophia's talent, or more like her lazy behavior, none of the people in the Carson Family expected Sophia to beco stronger or anything like that. After all, not everyone was suitable to beco magic warrior or magicians.
If Sophia just wanted to live a comfortable life for the rest of her life, then they would help to raise her until she got married or able to take care of herself.
But for the ti being, it was enough.
"Yes." Sophia nodded and smiled. "Is it obvious?"
She had a conversation with lly and ford an equal contract with lly. In this way, lly's ability would be shared to her and she would be able to give order to lly. In return, Sophia would help with lly's training, more than before.
Stephen looked at his younger sister and sighed. "Didn't I tell you before that if you choose this path, you have to train lly?"
lly indeed beco a bit stronger than before because of the non elental magic core.
But the Carson Family had no intention to raise a powerful magic beast. They had heard from Samuel that raising the rank of a magic beast consud a lot of resources.
This was one of the reasons why these magic beasts were rampart outside.
They would kill other magic beasts for the sake of themselves to beco as strong as possible.
Now that Sophia ford a contract with lly…
Stephen sighed.
"I know, Brother," Sophia said and patted lly's head. She was sitting beside Sophia, acting very obedient and quiet.
"Then…"
"You an that I have to fight against those magic beasts," Sophia interrupted her brother before he finished speaking and she looked at her brother deeply. "I don't like fighting but I don't want to be weak either."
If the Carson Family was still the leading family, then there was no problem with Sophia not doing anything and only enjoying her life.
But the Carson Family is not the leading and powerful family like how it used to be.
And Sophia didn't want to stay behind all the ti.
So she made this decision.
Stephen looked at his sister's determined look and then nodded. "Tomorrow, you'll co with to pay a visit to Riya and Samuel. They should be able to know how high is lly's talent and how to train him better."
Even if those two were not professional beast master, but they have more knowledge than them. Rather than training lly's blindly, it would be better to leave it to soone who knew this matter better.
Sophia smiled brightly. "Thank you, Brother."
*Woof!*
