Qian Xueying?!
Nancy turned around in surprise, “Where?”
Subtly, Gan Yuan extended her hand to place her own glass to the right of Nancy’s.
She wasn’t very interested in the polo match.
She seed to be discussing the ga with Abel, but her attention was more on Nancy.
She had long noticed Nancy’s little maneuvers and knew Nancy was up to sothing when she saw Jenny serving drinks and exchanging glances with her.
“It’s not Qian, I saw wrong!” Nancy withdrew her gaze, and Gan Yuan softly asked, “Speaking of which, why haven’t we seen Miss Qian?”
“Her?” Nancy tidied her hair, “She’s tied up and couldn’t make it.”
“I see.” Gan Yuan reached for the soda on the table in front of Nancy, brought it to her lips, and began to drink for real.
Watching the soda in Gan Yuan’s hand slowly disappear, Nancy’s lips curled into a cold smile.
She grabbed “her own” bottle, drank while keeping an eye on Gan Yuan, and unknowingly downed most of the bottle.
Both bottles contained the sa soda, and she didn’t notice that Gan Yuan had already switched their drinks.
The first half of the match ended with the King’s Team leading by one goal.
Gan Yuan glanced at Nancy, who had a touch of red on her cheeks, and got up from her chair.
“I’m going to the restroom.”
Nancy looked at her half-empty drink and her lips subtly lifted into a smile.
She imdiately stood and supported Gan Yuan’s arm, “Let take you to the VIP room, it’s less crowded there.”
Gan Yuan smiled and expressed her gratitude as the two of them headed toward the exit together.
Descending from the stand, they arrived at the VIP room.
Nancy personally escorted Gan Yuan into the ladies restroom and then stepped back, taking out her phone to call Abel.
“Abel, Gan is feeling a bit unwell, co over now, hurry!
We are in the VIP room!”
Abel, puzzled, imdiately left the acquaintances he was chatting with and dashed over from the stands upon hearing that Gan Yuan wasn’t feeling well.
Nancy put away her phone and gently pushed open the restroom door, seeing Gan Yuan standing in front of the sink, supporting herself with her hands.
“Miss Gan, are you alright?”
“I’m okay…
just feeling a bit unwell,” Gan Yuan raised her hand to touch her face, “Miss Nancy, don’t you think it’s a bit hot?”
Nancy wrapped her arms around herself, “Yeah…
it does feel a bit warm!”
Not knowing whether it was from excitent or sothing else, she could only feel her heart beating fast and her mouth felt incredibly dry.
Nancy attributed it all to the spring clothes she was wearing, regretting not wearing a sumr dress knowing how sunny it was that day.
Gan Yuan caught the sight of Nancy, cheeks flushed, licking her lips, and gently curved her lips into a slight smile.
Outside, footsteps hurried in.
Abel burst through the door of the VIP room and rushed in.
“Gan?!” He approached Gan Yuan with concern, “Are you okay?”
“She said she’s feeling a bit unwell,” Nancy said as she moved toward the door, “You look after her, I’ll go get a doctor.”
Intending to leave, her legs turned weak and she leaned against the wall, lightly shaking her head.
What’s wrong with her, why does she feel so odd?!
“I’m fine!” Gan Yuan sidestepped Abel’s outstretched arm and walked over to Nancy’s side, “Miss Nancy, your face is so red!”
“Is it?” Nancy asked with a smile.
Gan Yuan reached out to touch her face, “It’s burning up!”
