Moses reached out his large hand and took the orange from her, split it into halves.
He peeled it, carefully cleaned off the white fibers until each segnt was spotless, and then placed it in her palm.
"Eat it."
"Thank you!"
Yu Yao expressed her gratitude and popped a segnt of orange into her mouth.
Suddenly, her mouth was filled with sourness.
Her eyes heated up, and she felt like crying.
She quickly took a breath, forcefully suppressing that emotion.
What was going on?
Soone who was usually cheerful had suddenly beco so sentintal; if he saw, it would surely beco a joke.

Suppressing the tears, she chewed the orange forcefully, turned her face, and smiled bravely.

Finally, the last segnt was placed into her palm, and Moses knew it was ti for him to leave.
"I’ll be on a business trip tomorrow; when you are discharged, I’ll pick you up."
"No need for such hassle, I can just call a taxi myself."
"You got injured because of , so no need to be polite about these things." Moses stood up, "Shall I take you back to the ward?"
"No, I... I want to sit a while longer."
"Then... goodbye."
Moses stood up and walked away.
Watching his fading figure, Yu Yao slowly clasped her fingers, holding the remaining segnts of orange in her palm.
For the first ti in her life, she liked soone, yet it was just a fruitless crush, no need to elaborate on the disappointnt felt within.

On the balcony, seeing Moses return from the back garden, Jessica quickly hurried downstairs to greet him.
Noticing the man’s complexion wasn’t good, she glanced sideways to check his expression.
Their assistant being injured in the hospital, he surely didn’t want to go on a business trip.
"How about... I go in your place?"
"No need."
Moses shook his head lightly.
So things, you have to gradually get used to.
In the past, this was just the way it was, nothing special.
Jessica shrugged her shoulders, not saying anything more.
That evening, the two returned to Moses’s villa, and the butler, knowing he was going on a business trip, had already prepared his suitcase.

Moses glared at her.
