Chapter 1284: Chapter 1284: [Special Episode] The Wedding (Part 19)

There are still a lot of docunts left unread. Tomorrow is the official start of work, and there is simply not enough ti left!

She raised her hand to tidy her fallen hair, just as she was about to call her assistant, she heard the doorbell ring.

She walked over and opened the door, only to see the hotel’s room service attendant standing outside with a dining cart.

“Good morning, this is your breakfast delivery!”

“When did I order breakfast?” Although Betty was a bit displeased, she politely stepped aside. The attendant pushed the breakfast inside and placed it on the table. She handed over a tip and thanked him.

On the table, the enticing aroma.

She glanced sideways and saw all her favorite foods on the table: waffles, fruit porridge…

The air was filled with a tempting vanilla scent, and her appetite was aroused. She casually picked up a piece and put it in her mouth. It was indeed the long-missed vanilla taste, extrely authentic, certainly not from artificial flavoring. It was the taste that only cos from the purest xico vanilla.

She had never noticed before that this hotel’s breakfast was quite good.

Her annoyed mood improved significantly due to the long-missed delicacy. She sat at the table and unabashedly picked up a second piece.

After eating two pieces, she finally rembered work and hurriedly dialed her assistant’s number, telling her to co over imdiately.

A mont later, the assistant ca in, and she imdiately turned her face to inquire.

“Didn’t I ask you to wake up? Why didn’t you co to call ?”

The assistant looked innocent, “But… you texted yesterday saying you were too tired and wanted to sleep in, asking not to disturb you.”

“?” Betty put down the spoon in her hand. “When did I send that?”

The assistant took out her phone and handed it to her. Sure enough, there was a text from her phone, as the assistant ntioned, dated last night.

“Damn it!”

She had no recollection at all.

Forget it, she must have been too busy to rember. She picked up the spoon again and saw the assistant had walked over and was picking up the docunts, busy turning her face.

“Don’t touch them, I haven’t finished reading those!”

The assistant stopped her actions, “Should I take these few that need edits to be revised first?”

Needs editing?

Betty put down the spoon in confusion and walked over.

On the table, the docunts were neatly divided into two piles. On the right, a small stack had a sticky note labeled “Needs Editing.”

Betty picked up the sticky note and looked at the handwriting, it was indeed in her handwriting.

“Do you have anything else needed?” the assistant asked.

Betty glanced at the other pile, reading the “Approved” sticky note on top. She casually picked up a docunt and opened it, seeing her signature at the end.

She picked up another docunt she had no mory of, and it also had her signature at the end.

Strange, the handwriting was hers, so why didn’t she rember it at all?

Could she really have been so busy she even forgot what she’d done?!

All thanks to that bastard!

She gritted her teeth and waved her hand at the assistant.

“Nothing else!”

All the docunts had been reviewed, and she had nothing else to do. Returning to the table, she picked up the cup of chocolate, strolled onto the balcony, lazily raised her face to enjoy the brilliant early sumr sunshine, contentedly sat in a lounge chair, closed her eyes, then suddenly opened them.

Strange, why did she always feel like soone was watching her?

She suspiciously looked around but saw nothing unusual except for the sister hotels across the way.

Damn Abel, almost driving her crazy!

Betty pouted and leaned back in the chair, enjoying the long-missed leisure.

Across the way, behind the blinds, Abel put down the binoculars and yawned heavily.

Alright, now he could relax and take a nap.
