These days, for the first ti, soone asked her about Abel. Betty was stunned for a mont before she reacted.
"Why, haven’t you seen him recently?"
Gan Yuan shook her head, then teased.
"He’s with you every day, so how would he have ti to see ?"
Betty chuckled.
"No, I haven’t seen him recently either."
Now it was Gan Yuan’s turn to be surprised.
"Weren’t you two always together?"
"Recently... not really." Betty averted her gaze, looking out the window, "The weather’s been nice these days. By the way, have you decided on the exact location for your wedding?"
Gan Yuan’s eyes glanced over her face, realizing she didn’t want to continue this topic, so she didn’t press further.
"Ajue is handling all those things; he hasn’t told anything."
Initially, Gan Yuan had asked Huangfu Jue about the specific address and process, but the man just smiled and told her not to worry, that she should just be good and wait to be his bride.
Understanding his intentions, Gan Yuan hadn’t asked again since then, even though she was curious, she still wanted to give him a chance to surprise her.
"So happy!" Betty gazed at her enviously, "Gan Yuan, congratulations."
"Don’t worry." Gan Yuan smiled, holding her hand, "Your happiness isn’t far off either."
Betty slightly lifted the corner of her mouth, understanding what she was implying, but she didn’t elaborate.
Such matters aren’t easy to explain in a few words, and besides, she didn’t want to broadcast her private affairs everywhere.
At this mont, a staff mber had already walked in, and Gan Yuan stood up.
"Alright, you go get your asurents taken first, we’ll have lunch together later."
"No need, I still have to go to the company. The new project is about to launch, I have so work to handle. Once the project starts, I’ll spend ti with you, the bride."
"Alright." Gan Yuan didn’t press her.
Following the staff mber into a room, an employee from Huangfu Jue’s company imdiately ca over to take her asurents.
Betty stood there, cooperating with the person’s work, glancing around. Finally, she spoke nonchalantly.
"Um... has Mr. Abel co for his asurents?"
Abel was a good friend of Huangfu Jue, he couldn’t miss such a big thing as a wedding.
"Not yet, we’re just waiting on you two now," the staff replied.
Upon hearing that, Betty couldn’t help but slightly frown.
That guy hadn’t been in touch with her recently, not even Gan Yuan knew about his situation, and he wasn’t coming for his suit fitting... What exactly was that guy doing lately?
Where there is oppression, there will be resistance.
These days, she had been so busy, exhausting herself to the point of falling asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Precisely because of this, she could suppress the urge to think about that bastard, but just Gan Yuan asking a question imdiately stirred the longing deep in her heart, growing like wild grass, spreading wildly inside her.
"Princess Betty, you can put your arm down now, all done."
The staff reminded her again, bringing her back to reality, and she lowered her arm, which had grown a bit sore.
"Thank you!"
She thanked the person and walked towards the door.
"Your Highness!" The staff hurried to stop her, pointing to a door in another direction, "This way is the exit."
"Oh, sorry!"
Betty felt her face heat up, realizing she had gone the wrong way. She quickly turned around and headed to the correct door.
