Rembering his parting hug, Betty scread out once more.

"I told you to speed up, didn’t you hear ?"

The driver turned his face, initially wanting to retort, but seeing the girl’s tear-streaked face, he was startled.

"We’re almost there, you... you don’t need to worry."

Assuming she had a relative being treated here, the driver felt so sympathy for her, "Don’t cry, everything will be alright."

"It won’t be alright..." Betty choked as she wiped her face, "Perhaps I... I won’t even get to see him one last ti..."

By that ti, the car had already driven into the church hospital’s gate. Before the driver could co to a complete stop, Betty had already jumped out and dashed toward the ergency room across.

Inside the ergency room.

Injured patients were everywhere. Seeing a doctor pushing soone out of the ergency room, Betty felt a tightness in her chest and rushed forward to grab his arm.

Seeing the body covered by a sheet on the hospital bed, Betty extended her trembling fingers.

It mustn’t be him, it mustn’t...

"Miss!" The doctor grabbed her arm, "What are you doing?"

"Let go!" Betty shook off his arm and pulled back the sheet, relieved to see the unfamiliar face. But imdiately, she grabbed the doctor again, "Where’s Abel? Tell , where is he?!"

"Abel?" The doctor frowned slightly, "You an the one in room three ergency...?"

Before the doctor could finish, Betty had already turned and rushed to the third ergency room.

The doctor’s gaze followed her back, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

Racing all the way, she arrived at the third ergency room and imdiately pushed open the door to rush in.

Inside, doctors and nurses were helping a patient with ergency treatnt. Seeing her sudden entrance, they were all surprised.

"Abel!"

Betty rushed forward, montarily stunned seeing the young man, "Where is Abel?"

The patient looked at her in confusion, "I’m Abel."

"I’m not talking about you, I’m looking for Abel."

The nurse grabbed her, "Miss, we are saving the patient; please leave imdiately."

"Let go of ; I’m looking for Abel."

"He is Abel!" the doctor said confusedly.

"I understand; you must be looking for Mr. Abel." A nurse holding a dicine box walked in and upon hearing them, promptly stepped forward, "He’s in the back storeroom."

"Where’s the storeroom?"

"Exit from here, go to the end, and head out the door."

She turned and ran, weaving through the crowded hallway, rushing near the storeroom and imdiately grabbing soone to ask loudly.

"Where’s Abel?"

The staff moving dicines pointed to the right.

"Abel... Oh, he seems to be in the cold storage."

Cold... cold storage?

Upon hearing this, Betty felt chilled, her legs went weak, almost collapsing to the ground.

Could it be... he’s already dead?!

She felt weak all over, unable to move.

"Miss!" The staff saw her expression change and quickly supported her, "Are you alright?"

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Abel walking out from the cold storage and promptly spoke up.

"Aren’t you looking for Mr. Abel, he’s there!"

Betty turned her face, looking in the direction the man pointed, only to see a familiar figure standing not far away, facing away from her.

He’s not dead!

She suddenly felt jubilant, gathering strength from who knows where, and ran towards him. Abel turned his head at the sound, barely comprehending what was happening as soone hugged him tightly.
