Delcain’s Point Of View

"So when are you going to be back?" I asked Tristan as he held Tahlia making silly faces at her.

He seed ridiculously high in spirits, even though he was going to be in a room full of Alphas. I couldn’t believe my ears when they had told the news. Tristan had just gotten over his mating cycle not even two days ago and now he was jumping head first into the lions den.

"Sunday morning if nothing happens, Saturday night if all hell breaks loose." He replied.

I could only stare at him. It made no sense. He sat on my bed and looked up at quizzically.

’Why the hell is he so calm about this...?’

"What’s wrong, Del...?" He asked.

"What do you an, what’s wrong? How are you so calm about this?" I asked, dumbfounded.

I felt like I was being crazy and irrational, with how calm he was being about it all. I just couldn’t wrap my head around any of it.

"Hmm...? Well I’ve already been scolded today by the guys about it. I’m a nervous wreck to be honest, but if I start worrying about it again, I won’t be able to stop..." Tristan shrugged.

’Ugh... so he’s going for blissful ignorance?’

"Well at least say your goodbyes to the other kids. Where are your mate’s anyway?" I asked.

It wasn’t everyday that they weren’t joined at his hip so I had to admit the sight without them was strange. Their absence was exceedingly, loud.

"They are preparing everything for the trip. We are driving there and taking a helicopter back. They said sothing about showing the view from above and below." Tristan said standing up.

"C’mon the other kids should be in the playroom with mama ahlene." I said.

ahlene had beco obsessed with the kids. She loved Sable’s art and Arrisa’s tea ti more than anything else. It was adorable how serious she was about it all.

We made our way upstairs and I spoke into the intercom. A short while later the door was slowly opened to reveal the playroom. Tristan went inside and Nahana imdiately snatched Tahlia away.

Tristan chuckled and walked up to Sable as she was painting, and gave her a tight squeeze. She let out a small gasp in surprise, then leaned back into his hug with a smile.

"Hey Tristan, how are you feeling? You had a rough week, huh big brother...?" She asked.

"Yeah... probably going to have a crazier weekend too." He sighed.

"Why...? What’s happening...?" Sable asked, wiping her forehead and saring blue paint across it at the sa ti.

"Ah... well... you see...?" Tristan murmured.

"Tristan is about to go to a eting with a bunch of Alphas..." I sighed.

"Wait what eting?" Payhne said getting up quickly.

"Wait big brother.... you’re leaving the house? Seriously...?" Sable said turning around.

Tristan glared at and I glared right back, this was serious and so many things could go wrong.

"Haaah... such a jerk Del..." Tristan murmured.

"Look she needed to know, so I told her. What’s the big deal?" I asked.

"Funny how all of a sudden you’re so forthcoming with knowledge." Tristan said with another glare.

"Alright boys, no arguing in front of the kids." ahlene said.

"Whatever. I just wanted to tell you bye Sable and Arrisa, can I have a hug?" Tristan said.

The girls complied and gave him a tight hug, but Payhne wasn’t going to let it go. He walked up to Tristan and grabbed his face in both hands while he was still hugging the girls.

"Tristan, tell sothing... are you going to a eting of the Kings?" Payhne asked, completely dumbfounded.

"Yes... I think that’s what they called it... Why?" Tristan replied.

"Brother... will you be fine if I go?" Payhne asked.

"Sure, Jasper and Rohan are here too y’know. Also, I’m worried about the boss... so go, watch his back for ..." Raihne said, as Payhne put his forehead to his and then walked over to Arrisa.

"I’m going to head out for a bit now Ari. Promise to be good while I’m gone okay?" He said picking her up.

"Yes. I promise. Be careful Payhne, don’t you dare co back with more boo boo’s. I love you, you dummy..." She replied squeezing him tightly.

"Yeah... I’ll be careful..." He said kissing her forehead.

"I’ll be right back, don’t let them leave without Tristan..." Payhne said, walking out the room.

"Tristan co here for a mont..." Raihne said.

Tristan walked over to him and sat beside him. Then Raihne heaved a heavy sigh and rested his head on Tristan’s shoulder.

"You don’t understand it yet, but the eting of the Kings is a dangerous place to be. Keep your eyes open and listen to what the others say. Subtle words and phrases can an life or death in there. Always address Zach as My King Zachariah or Monarch Zachariah. Don’t let anyone talk down to you or belittle you. You don’t know it, but Ferdinand is the second highest power in that room. Keep your head held high with pride." He said, placing a hand on his face.

"Yes. I will. Thank you Raihne. Please watch over the others for ..." Tristan replied.

Then he whispered sothing into Raihne’s ear that made him widened his eyes in shock.

"Do what you can, please?" Tristan said.

"Absolutely." Raihne replied.

"Ti to go Tristan..." Cole said walking into the room.

"Del... walk out, will you?" Tristan asked looking a bit more worried than before.

"Yeah okay..." I replied.

We walked out and down the 3rd floor set of stairs. Then once we got to the second floor, I couldn’t hold back anymore.

"Why do you have to go Tristan? Can’t they go alone?" I asked.

"They could, but an Alpha that is going has notes about my creation. He’s going to give them too ." He replied.

"There you go doing crazy shit without telling anyone. What the hell are you going to do with that information?! You’d beco a huge target." I said.

"I’m a huge target either way... especially after going to the eting in general. Also, Danhiel is the benefactor of most of the facilities. He’s put a huge bounty on my head. I’m safer going instead of staying." He sighed.

"Okay... just be careful, brother..." I said, giving him another hug.

’Fuck... I’m even more worried now, than I was before...’

Danhiel’s Point Of View

"Sir we have confirmation that the Oga is staying ho." Jeffrey said, running up to .

"Are you sure? That doesn’t make any sense. Freddie just said he was going to be at the eting." I said, confused.

"Well... I just heard from an inside source that he was staying. But maybe they just got it wrong sir?" He said cowering.

"Ugh! Forget it! We’ll just split them up, like I originally planned. I’ll search the estate, while Keighley takes on the eting." I’m done waiting. I’ll have that Oga or at least a decent consolation prize." I yelled.

I was getting more and more impatient. Nothing was going the way I planned. Instead of warring amongst themselves, Zachariah found a way to stall the Kings. Then everyone seed to be more afraid of Zachariah than they wanted literally anything! Rahzden was a good fail safe but he wasn’t strong or smart. He was a pawn in all things.

It was supposed to be so simple. Sow seeds of discord amongst the kings, make them fall over themselves as they clamored to capture the Oga. The plan was easy, I had been so careful.

’So how? How is this even happening?!’

"Mount up. We are going to take the choppers so make sure you get in and out quickly. Don’t get stopped, look for an opportunity to strike with the least amount of people. Don’t rush it, idiots! " I yelled.

"Yes sir!" They said unison.

I climbed into my helicopter and made sure I had everything I would need. I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass by. I was claiming an Oga from Delgaide, even if it killed . I was over everyone walking over like I didn’t matter, like my father’s will wasn’t absolute. They treated as if I wasn’t the one pumping money into their duhtchies or adding more Ogas to their lands. Without and my family, they would have nothing.

The governnt pumped so much money behind my father’s dream and aspirations that he basically cented himself into legacy. His children and their children’s children would want for nothing, ever. I was duty bound and determined to make sure I got what was mine.

Tristan was a sight to behold even before he ca of age. I was dying to see just how much he had grown since then. My mouth watered at the thought. I gripped the overhead bar tightly as the helicopter took flight.

’Just wait for Tristan...’
