Gaibe’s Point Of View
*Knock... Knock... Knock...*
"Good Afternoon, Master Gaibe. The Monarch is waiting in the parlor room. I, Jayhsyn, will guide you." The dutiful Butler of The Palace said.
I followed him through the foyer and down the long winding hallway until we reached two large black and silver doors. I had been here a few tis now, but it never seed to get easier. Zachariah wasn’t a violent man by nature, but his n and stout followers allowed for little error when speaking to him. It was very likely one would lose their life just by accidentally offending him.
Once he opened the door, I stepped through with my two n and proceeded to my seat. There were roughly 30 n posted around the room that belonged to Zachariah, and just seeing them standing along the walls unmoving was as unnerving as it could get.
"Ah! Gaibe is here!" Xander said.
"Hello, Gaibe. Did you have a good journey?" His twin Xavier asked.
"Yes. It’s been a while boys. You don’t co to visit anymore." I pouted teasingly.
"Running a Duhtchy is really hard Gaibe... even with two people..." They replied.
"Well, you know I can always help you two. What are friends for? It’s lonely without you boys around now..." I said.
They were my childhood friends who lived close to . Once I beca the Mafia King of our ho Duhtchy zz’Fayeha, they wanted to follow in their big brother’s shoes. Once they passed their tests and got crowned, they begged Zachariah to let them rule a Duhtchy together. Zachariah agreed to let them run Haz’Kaizer.
"But we don’t want to appear weak... right?" Xander asked softly.
I arched a brow at that. It certainly was a strong and valid point, however...
"There is no weakness in trying and failing a few tis. You need only to get advice. We are friends after all, I am not your enemy. I would like for you to succeed and pray for your prosperity, always." I said firmly.
Sure a Mafia King shouldn’t always ask for help. However, if you stubbornly try to fix everything yourself and keep failing, and then bring ruination to your Duhtchy, that will spell your doom.
"Gaibe, its nice to see you again old friend. I do hope life is treating you well." Zachariah said.
"Yes. Everything is fine. My Duhtchy is rather prosperous, all things considered." I replied.
"Wonderful! I’m very happy to see you managed to fix the contaminated water issue." He replied.
I nodded my head in agreent. That particular debacle had nearly seen my life forfeit. The late Mafia King Jehbino, sent spies into my city to see how life was for my people. After he found that they were happy and thriving, unlike his own subjects, he poisoned our water supply.
Sickness and disease spread throughout my Duhtchy and claid the lives of over 127 people before I could safely stop it. Once the poison was traced back to Jeb, I infiltrated his ho and ended his life. It was the least I could do for the innocent people he had killed out of jealousy.
Just then, the doors opened again and in walked Lady Dyahlettah. She was breathtakingly beautiful. With crimson red hair that flowed like rivers of blood. Piercing green eyes that allowed no falsehoods, and two strikingly gorgeous won following closely behind her. One was strapped head to toe in leather and weapons, while the other wore a tight leather outfit with two swords strapped to her back.
Mahrinette had incredible aim and Celestine could decapitate you before your head ever registered that it was no longer connected to the body. Their fierce scrutinizing eyes were terrifying, just like their Lady’s.
"Mahri, Celest, worry not about the fools who may speak ill of here, and more about the fools who would dare to interrupt this eting." Lady Dyah said.
She received dutiful nods before she took her own seat as well. I once thought to take her hand in marriage if only to make her smile once in her life. However, I was t with a sword to my neck for my efforts. Still, she was beautiful to look at.
"Dyah, it’s good to see you well. How’s Shailhade treating you?" Zachariah asked.
"Very well My King. How have you been here in Demhongade? The sun is more harsh than I rember here now." She replied.
She was right, I had noticed it as well. Several acres of land that used to be soft rich grass, were turning into dry barren desert lands. She was right but... I’d rather die than ask Zachariah what happened.
"Hmmm... I suspect a poison has been placed upon the earth. The water has dried out in many areas and the rain is not very forthcoming. If you have any ideas on how to stave off the foreseeable crisis, I am open to suggestions..." Zachariah said with a pleasant smile.
Next to enter was Sîvret. He had two hulking n close behind him as well, and his mischievous silver eyes were always so hard to read.
"Hush, rember what we discussed. No mistakes today, understand?" He said.
The man silently nodded in agreent before Sîvret took his seat. He then smiled a big smile as he glanced around the room.
"My most beloved Monarch. I have brought a feast of delicious foods, desserts, and spirits for this afternoon. May I bring them in now?" Sîvret asked.
"You would bring more n even after I advised against it?" Zachariah said with a slight glare.
Sîvret’s smile did not falter at all as he said, "No, absolutely not. Perish the thought. I have so Oga won who happily volunteered to bring it in. They will leave once everything has been delivered, they are servers at my restaurants so they have to go back to work for tonight."
Zachariah nodded in agreent and Sîvret looked over at the man to his left. The man said "Enter" into a walkie-talkie and a short while later Jayhsyn and about 9 or 10 won walked in carrying large trays and placed them on the table. They were covered in shining silver do lids but the sll wafting from the trays was divine.
"Jayhsyn, please arrange for tablewear and utensils to be brought out for everyone. We can’t have Sîvret do all the work." Zachariah chuckled.
"It’s nothing M’Lord. It’s not everyday one gets to serve their handmade cuisines to their king. It brought imnse joy. I do hope you like it." Sîvret replied.
After things had settled down and so servers brought out plates, cups, and utensils for all the placents, I took a deep and slow breath. I was becoming increasingly more nervous, the more people arrived.
Then, the doors opened once again to show Rahzden, Lyukhe, and a grinning Bennhayzin. With the nickna The Lazy/Sleepy King, it was strange to see him smiling so satisfactorily.
"Man it slls good in here! Zachariah, you never said you were going to cook. Is this a special occasion?" Bennhayzin asked, eyes gleaming.
’No seriously, he’s in way too good of a mood...’
Bennhayzin and Ferdinand were the only people I had ever t, who would greet Zachariah without a title. It was terrifying everyti.
"I didn’t prepare this delectable feast, Sîvret did, old friend. So do show him your gratitude." Zachariah replied.
Bennhayzin turned to look in Sîvret’s direction and gave a respectful nod, before taking his seat.
Next to enter were the triplets. Waihlynn, Naithynn, and Aidehynn entered in that order. They were all wearing such serious frowns, it only made my nervousness worse.
"Ha! Looks like Ferdinand and Sylvester are the last to arrive. It’s almost 1pm, is he even going to show? It’d be a sha if not. I was really looking forward to seeing that Oga of his." Rahzden said, as the triplets took their seats.
This announcent put everyone on edge. I wasn’t sure if everyone else had heard the rumors as well, but it was clear that they had. This only confird that this eting probably had sothing to do with Ferdinand and his Oga. Ferdinand was a good friend of mine. Since StohneGarrdin and zz’Fayeha shared a border, Ferdinand had helped out of many a crises.
I, too was hoping that he would show up. I didn’t particularly care about whether or not he brought his alleged mate. I just wanted to see how my old friend was doing. Rumor had it that he hadn’t been seen in StohneGarrdin for nearly a month now. I just hoped he was alright.
"Rahzden, we will have plenty of ti to discuss things once the eting has started. Do show a little restraint and have so patience." Zachariah said with a hard glare.
"Hm? But why wait any longer for a Mafia King who cannot tell ti? Is he not wasting our ti with his truancy?" Rahzden complained.
"Rahzden, I will not ask a second ti." Zachariah asserted.
I couldn’t be sure if Zachariah was in a fowl mood or not. He seed to be in good spirits before everyone else showed up. I had to agree however, the waiting was killing .
And then, the doors swung open a final ti. In walked Ferdinand, Sylvester, and an extrely large man that seed unnaturally large, and three other n. And in the middle was a ridiculously beautiful man. His light blue hair and bright hazel eyes were stunning. Judging by now nervous and shifty his eyes were, he clearly had to be the Oga in question.
Once Sylvester and Ferdinand took their seats, the sll of strawberry champagne quickly overwheld the sll of the al Sîvret provided, and every Alpha present widened their eyes.
