But...Sultan’s a human. Not a dragon. He could beco a Dragonborne...but that’s confusing and weird and grindy. He doesn’t have the necessities to pull that off.

Which is weirder. I still can’t wrap my head around it. 10,000 years later, the world treats the title of Sovereign like it’s godhood or so divinity level, which in reality it’s just a dumb PvP champion title for the vanity of it.

He doesn’t even know what exactly he’s chasing, but if he got into contact with the Sovereign of Victory and War, and...assuming that’s another player, like ...

...then worst case scenario, that person might’ve indirectly showed Sultan how to do things no one else in the world could fathomably achieve. I could rule out directly because I’ve never t with Sultan.

I’m known as the Calamity, Strife, Death, and many more edgy titles. Not Victory and War.

Now...that explains why he randomly quotes the two. He’s damn near been indoctrinated by one...and unknowingly living with the other. If he found out about as well...I’ll save that for later. I don’t even want to get into that.

I almost want to laugh at myself. There’s no way you could make this up for him.

But...that just raises more questions.

One, if he can let’s say, see the future, does he know I’m the Ryuuzen Valefla he idoloizes so much? No, can’t be. His foresight can only go so far. He’s not outright changing his fate, just manipulating it. If that’s the case, then so far no one will be able to make the connection unless I shove it right in front of their faces.

And two, how did he et this Sovereign? Sovereign of War has been out longer than I have that’s for sure. Aarx said I was the last to awaken, aning that the rest could be anywhere. Anywhere.

And if that was easy to enter the Ashlight Bastion on accident, there’s no telling how far they are. Pocket dinsions, space, other realms. The entire cosmology gets confusing when I realized the ga never limited itself to just a single planet. I thought realms like Ashlight Bastion would’ve ceased to exist.

No, they didn’t. The worst part is that it evolved overti. Now the place is just a western town clone. Deserted. Abandoned. Only kept by Aarx the Old in the anwhile because technically, that was his ho.

Now no other dragons have co there.

I look back at Jonah, "How long ago was that?"

He shrugs, "Long...long ti ago. Right when the crisis hit Aurea Islands and he had just assud the seat of the Chancellor after the last one died of natural causes."

"You sure he didn’t cause that either?"

Jonah chuckles, slightly. "Funny. But...I don’t know. He could’ve, but at that ti? The Sultan before and the one now are completely like two different beings."

Right. Experience in the big seat. If he wanted to get it done, he would’ve.

But then—oh, another third question I haven’t even thought about?

If Sultan can see the future, just a little bit...

Would he not know that I’m out there eting with Jonah learning about him?

Or maybe it’s only tied to him directly...because even he said it himself. He’s not sure if Aurea Islands would’ve been this way without him.

As much as I’ve studied him...he’s studied , as well. Figured out I was a dragon before anyone else.

Wait.

[Dragon’s Authority], proc’d.

The humming and vibrating sensation from my horns. It’s there? slowly getting stronger. Gradually, and gradually.

I slowly turn around, get up from my chair, and point a finger at the air. Jonah looks confused, other people don’t pay attention.

Then, a ghastly scream could be heard. Faint. Shallow.

Of course.

You’ve been watching ever since we’ve t, haven’t you Sultan?

"W-what was that...?" Jonah asked. Mixture of shock, and confusion.

As far as he and I both know, we couldn’t see a thing. Only a scream. Just hearing that would make anyone sound crazy if you told the other.

That’s the thing about it coming from a video ga, however. At least it was perfectly explained over there.

"Sotis I would have a slight humming sensation from my horns. Whenever I entered and left Royalia. It’s more clear than ever that in the entire conversation,"

"Sultan has been watching us."

"R-really...?!"

"I’m sure of it. It’s a Ghost Spire. An intricate magic skill which I assud soone of his might could do. It operates on a higher dinsionality than ours, so unless you’ve dealt with those things. You would never know."

The scarier thing is that...no, I’m sure of it now.

The Sovereign is entirely a player. In this day of age...you would have to pull a lot of loops to have the [Ghost Spire] skill.

All which I doubt Sultan could do. No doubt in my mind that the Sovereign of War taught him that one.

I look down at my left wrist. Just pulling the cloak back just slightly. Right. That’s still there. Only reason why I could’ve sensed it was because of that alone.

Turning back to Jonah entirely, my tail whipped across the ground.

"We need to leave,"

Jonah stood up, his quote unquote uniform along with the cap still on him. "Leave...where?"

Right. Where would we go? Leave Royalia just to go to Bortabelle?

No can do over there. Vaniti’s grinding quests in and out by the Voyager Guild. She would just see my presence alongside Jonah and assu a fight is there to be instigated.

That’s if I can explain to her before she does all of that. But seriously, is that a risk I want to take?

I think more on it. Where could Jonah and I head—?

Bingo.

"Jonah. The terrorist group. Do they have an outpost or anything like that?"

He nods. "Yeah, on the northern island. Are you..."

I nod.

He looks at , sighs. Seems to contemplate this before agreeing with .

"If I disagree, I might as well be torn up to pieces."

I smile, "Great decision you made there, Jonah."

He groans, "Don’t butter up now. It’s not everyday I get a pat on the back for my decisions."

Perfect. Since we were on the Central Island. It wouldn’t take long to get to the Northern Island. Since Komarine was on the Southern Group Islands, with Royalia and Bortabelle being on this Central Island.

Then...the other one Jonah ntioned. Ja’nan. Maybe perhaps that’s where the outpost is?

Well.

Only one way to find out.
