"It didn’t seem as simple as that" Louis said, raising his eyebrow.
"We will get into the work right away sir" Brina told.
The word ’sir’ didn’t feel good on her tongue. It didn’t roll off the tongue as easy as ’darling’ and ’sweetheart’.
They are destined to call each other with cheesy nas rather than formal ones, after all.
Even Louis didn’t like the sound of sir, coming through her lips. He couldn’t help but feel like kissing those sweet petals and stopping her from calling him sir.
However, he is helpless!! At least for now.
He couldn’t do anything more but make a promise to himself that he will make her call him ’darling’ very soon.
He sighed inside but firmly made a strong resolution.
Putting on his indifferent and aloof face, he looked at them with a stoic face.
"Good," he said and walked away.
"Phew!! He is so dangerous like a fire. I don’t want to get burned down into ashes because of his temper" Luke comnted as soon as their austere boss disappeared from their sight.
Brina nodded her head, her attention sowhere else. After that, none of them talked much till the lunch break.
And as soon as the clock ticked one, Brina got the ssage from Louis.
[Brina, I will be waiting in the parking lot, in my car]
Louis ssaged.
Brina smiled a little and stood up in the midst of texting him.
[Five minutes, I will be coming ]
Later, she thought of sothing and smirked before adding [Sir] in the subsequent ssage.
Louis, who saw the ssage that followed her reply, couldn’t help but chuckle as he shook his head playfully.
This little vixen is stubborn too!!
[Take your own ti, little vixen] he texted back.
As soon as Brina saw how he addressed her, her cheeks burned again. She couldn’t help but rember what happened yesterday evening.
How she pulled him close to her by using his tie.
It felt like it happened many days back.
"Brina, why are you blushing red? Did Luke do sothing?" Hailey, who just ca inside the office room, asked.
"No," Luke answered imdiately.
Brina nodded her head NO.
"So fishy" Hailey teased. "All right, I will leave this to you both, but, I am starving.....can we just go to the canteen please?" Hailey asked as she placed each of her arms around their necks. She rubbed her tummy and puckered her lips.
Though they have beco friends not too long back, they have beco close to each other.
Hailey is so energetic and talkative that everyone would like her right away.
"I am in," Luke said, standing up.
Brina couldn’t help but bit her own tongue. They have recently been friends and she didn’t have the heart to say no.
But Louis is already waiting for her downstairs.
"Guys, I am sorry but I promised lunch to soone already. I will join both of you from tomorrow without fail." Brina apologized.
"That’s okay girl. How about dinner tonight? As we got such a good job and hot project manager we must party" Hailey squealed.
"I will party for getting this job but not because of our short tempered manager" Luke grumbled.
Brina laughed and nodded her head.
"I will be there. Text the address" she answered and started walking away.
Making new friends and getting habituated to this new environnt is gradually helping her to move on.
At last, Brina felt like she was making an effort to change herself into a better version.
All thanks to Louis who helped her at the right ti.

In the parking lot..
Brina quickly climbed into the passenger seat and Louis already had his engine ignited. As soon as she wore seat belt, they drove away.
After they exited the company premises, it was only when they relaxed. Not that Louis cares about it but he respects Brina’s decisions.
As she doesn’t want anyone to find out how close they are, he will respect her decision.
"How is your first day, Brina? Enjoyed?" Louis asked, his playful and cheeky personality all written on his face.
Brina truly felt like she was seeing different people.
"It’s fine, but my boss is so strict that he doesn’t even allow colleagues to chat with each other for a few minutes," Brina said, holding her smile.
Louis raised his eyebrow and gave an amused look to Brina.
Though he wanted to flirt with her now by answering so cheesy answer, he simply couldn’t.
"Your boss is so strict. I have heard of him....he is such a pain in the ass, isn’t he?" Louis told, giving a half – pitying expression.
Brina is about to say sothing but she closes her mouth unable to contemplate what to just reply.
How could he talk about himself like this!!
"Louis, have you ever heard of the weird disorder called ’split personality disorder’" she asked all of a sudden.
"Yeah, why?" Louis robotically replied only to realize where this is going.
"Nothing" Brina chuckled but their conversation ended there as they reached their destination.
It is a multi cuisine restaurant that is under the L & E corps.
His family owns this restaurant technically. But, it is his nineteen years old sister who manages these...
She was in fact the love guru for her brother...
...
"Here we are, co on let’s go....we are getting late as per the registered timing" Louis told as he hastily alighted the car.
He didn’t forget to open the door for Brina as well.
And, as soon as she alighted he held her hand in his. But as soon as he realized what he did, he apologized to Brina.
"Louis, you didn’t apologize to when you kissed twice, but you apologize when you held my hand. Funny" Brina jokes.
"I am sorry because I couldn’t kiss you and can only hold you hand. I told you sorry for that" Louis chuckled.
