"Hmm... I promise, honey. I will not" Brina answered, as she rubbed her cheek on his chest. Louis kissed her lips.
Soon, their sensual, passionate kiss morphed into a hungry, fast paced one.
And, after god knows when, they finally took a breath, parting from each other.
With her heavy panting voice, Brina asked, "Don’t you want to listen to what my plan is?" She was all excited like a little kid that Louis couldn’t say no.
He continued brushing her hair as he looked into her eyes, those greyish black orbs, full of deep emotions.
He couldn’t help but plant a sounding kiss on her forehead. Hr wrapped themselves warmly in the duvet and affectionately answered, "Of course I want to know my baby’s plan."
After a few minutes...
"That’s really a good plan, baby. I often wonder why my girlfriend is so brilliant. And, thank God, you figured out Olivia’s sche" Louis proudly said, after listening to her plan.
He is truly amazed. He didn’t expect Brina to have such a ln exception insight. Though he knows that she is amazing, she always tend to suprise him.
anwhile, Brina giggled. She could see that proudness in his eyes and it made her extrely happy.
"However, I still can’t believe my grandmother would do sothing like this" Louis huffed when he rembered what happened.
"I am not yet sure if she is the one who helped Olivia. Don’t jump into conclusions so soon" Brina said, interuppting him.
"Baby, who will have audacity to tamper the selection process? Only the most powerful can do it and who is powerful enough, if not the oldie" Louis gritted.
He never liked his grandmother.
"Don’t be angry, honey. And, please don’t get involved in this. I will take care of both Olivia and her accomplice" Brina said, kissing his chin.
Though Louis is reluctant to agree, he could only nod his head. If he don’t let her do as per her liking, it will look as if he is not yet sure of her potential. But, he trust’s her more than he trust himself.
"Hmm. I will not interfere" Louis answered.
"However, on one condition. You should not risk yourself" he told her.
"I already promised, didn’t I? Trust , I will not make you worry again." Brina smiled.
After that they shared a brief kiss and soon silence took over them. However, their love still lingered in air.
"Baby, did reports co?" Louis asked all of sudden.
He just rembered that it is connected to her plan.
"Yep. Eliina called to inform her about it, earlier" Brina said.
"And, the results ca positive. All the three samples from each of the last three days, showed that the horse was drugged and it had indeed affected the performance and ntal stability of the horse on competiton day"
"In addition to it, the blood sample taken after the accident showed that it is drug free. It ans soone gave it an antidote" Brina said. "Which strengthens the suspicion"
"Yep. That’s a good news. So, all we had to do is wait till the other report will co" Louis said.
This other report is the one which is ordered by King Edgar.
.....
The next day.
"Your Highness, the result ca negative. Horse was in good condition during the event" the chief of security politely said.
They are now in the Royal Court and every leader of the Noble houses are present.
"Hmm. You can go" King Edgar said as he took the report and studied it.
So, Brina really lost because on her own! There was no sabotage. Now, it sends her to the last but one position.
Hearing it, Charlotte’s parents and Queen Elora are very disappointed.
They thought she would make it in the first two places! And, they couldn’t help but pitifully look at Louis who was sitting there with a poker face.
It seems like he already knows this would happen.
Moreover, Brina said this would happen. It was after all her plan.

After noon...
King Edgar completed his court sessions and he went back to his personal chambers. He asked his guards to inform everyone about the report’s result and he just returned.
’I almost thought Brina would be a potential candidate.’ he thought. As he really doesn’t know much about Brina, there was nothing he could do but judge her according to lab reports.

All in sudden, surprising him, his little Princess ca to visit him.
And, it made him very ecstatic when he heard that his daughter is here.
Recently, he was very busy and didn’t get much ti to spend with his daughter, Eliina.
"Princess, thank God you rember your father" he joked, as he affectionately hugged her and ruffled her hair.
"You were busy, papa. So, I didn’t want to bother you. However, after finding out that the report ca negative, I got curious" Eliina said, right away bringing up the topic.
"Uh huh. Yes, the report ca negative. What about it?" King Edgar asked his daughter, slightly sad that she isn’t here to spend with him.
"Dad, as you know I make a discreet health check-up for the horses which co under my responsibility. Likewise, even Lady Brina’s horse ca under mine and the check up was not done too long back. The results ca yesterday and I found out that her horse is indeed drugged" Eliina told, dropping the bomb.
"What? Are you sure, Elle?" King Edgar asked, totally alerted by what his daughter just said.
He didn’t expect the truth to co from this way.
"I am very sure, papa. I have made check ups continuously for the last three days. Here, these are the reports" Eliina handed him the file.
Her sister in law, Brina asked her to do this.
Brina knows that Olivia and Queen mother Greta would be monitoring the situation very strictly so that truth will co out.
However, they wouldn’t have expected that the evidence will directly reach the King via soone who has zero involvent in the issue.
That was totally uncalled for them to predict.
Moreover, Brina doesn’t want her involvent to co into light. So, she could only ask Eliina to do this.
And, this is also the best and only way because Queen mother Greta and Olivia would not know about this to stop it beforehand.
"Ahh. You are true." King Edgar said, after examining the results.
"This just makes everything more complicated. Who would have audacity to do this and to whom have they targeted this?" King Edgar questioned himself, his eyes narrowed.
"Papa, I think it had to be soone from the eight ladies. No one except them has co into the stables in the last four days" Eliina said.
"So, you think one of them wanted to sabotage Brina? Just because she ca first in the starting event?" Kind Edgar asked. He really wanted to check on how mature his daughter has beco.
"Papa, I think there are two possibilities. One, soone from inside helped this mysterious saboteur to tamper with the selection process and target Brina."
"Second, there might not be a specific target and they just wanted to create trouble" Eliina said.
As Brina doesn’t want Olivia to get caught, Eliina made sure not to give her thoughts away.
