The look of complete victory on the Elder's face was a bit disgusting. It wasn't only Tianlong Yun who thought like that, as many people in the crowd did the sa.
But at the sa ti, they all felt that Tianlong Yun had been outwitted this ti, and there was no way for him to escape whatever this was.
The Elder had truly prepared as good as he could to deal with him, and it was going to be his loss. It felt like Tianlong Yun had just been set up for good.
But to the disappointnt of the Elder and a big part of the crowd, Tianlong Yun didn't seem like he was truly worried about this matter.
In fact, he looked like he was just enjoying a great show, and that sothing even better was coming up, making a lot of people wonder and curious about how he would escape this.
"Are you sure about that Elder!? Is this your last card!? If you have anything better use them all, otherwise I think you won't be able to say anything later."
"Brat this is my last card for real, and there is no way this rat beast can make a mistake, I have personally raised it, you are gone!"
"Look I don't want to hear excuses later, you better think of this through!"
"Hehehe~! I don't need to think anything, I am sure that you are going down this ti!"
The more Tianlong Yun tried to help the Elder out, the more convinced he beca of his own ways, and the more did he want to do this.
Well, that was precisely the effect that Tianlong Yun wanted to create, as he kept digging the Elder's pit deeper and deeper.
"Sigh~! Very well then, why don't we put an end to this! Co on, release that little rat beast, and let us see!"
"I don't need you to tell that!"
With that said the Elder released the rat beast and was looking carefully and expectingly at the little thing, waiting for it to run towards Tianlong Yun.
Tianlong Yun didn't try to hide or do anything for that matter, as he just looked condescendingly at the situation in front of him.
The little rat beast seed to co a few tis around the room without finding anything, but when it reached the door it seed to have slled sothing and went outside.
The Elder was the most shocked person seeing this, as he wasn't able to understand what the hell was going on.
Why would the rat beast leave the room!?
With this, it was as good as Tianlong Yun being proven innocent, which was completely against his plans and ploys.
"Elder you seed extrely confident in your little mouse, does this prove my innocence!?"
"No, no, it doesn't!"
"Very well then, what else do you have!?"
"I I"
It was clear that there was nothing the Elder could do anymore, but he didn't want to accept he had lost the bet and was forced to comply with the stakes.
Yet, there was Master Tang the Family Head, and the whole family around them, and they were all witnesses to the bet.
Certainly, the family mbers would support him, into helping him ease the punishnt, but the problem was the Family Head.
That guy must have been waiting for a long ti to deal with him, and the rest and this was a perfect opportunity to do so.
"Co on Elder, you aren't going to keep us here all day, are you!?"
"Tianlong Yun don't be too happy, I know that it was you who stole the resources, and herbs! Only you could have done that, probably to recover from your injuries"
"Aarrrggghhhhh~! What is this!? Where did it co from!? A monster entered my clothes, heeelpppp~!"
Right as the Elder was trying to force logic and reason against Tianlong Yun to gain so small advantage, everyone heard a loud screeching scream.
The mont that the Elder heard those words he felt a terrible premonition course through his heart, and guts, as the whole crowd was startled.
"What is going on over there!? Who is screaming like that!? Let us go and have a look!"
A lot of people in the crowd actually run towards the scene, while Tianlong Yun had a slight snicker smile on his face.
It looked like finally, the show was approaching its climax, as he took pleasure in the Elder's confused and dark face.
The Family Head and Tang Li were startled and curious as well, as the Family Head imdiately seed to make a sign towards one of his trusted people and sent him there to see what happened.
In those monts everyone was fully frozen and waiting for a response to understand what was going on, when the guy that the Family Head had sent, ca back with a serious expression.
Upon arriving, he approached Master Tang and whispered sothing in his ear, while Master Tang looked at Tianlong Yun with great surprise, before looking darkly towards the Elder.
"7th Elder, are you sure that the rat beast is completely capable of tracing those herbs!?"
The Elder was a bit confused by this whole ss, but he couldn't take back his words anymore. He had just claid that strongly a few monts ago.
It wasn't a good thing to make a bad figure in front of the people of the family, so he was forced to maintain his standing,
"Yes, Family Head!"
"Are you completely sure!?"
The 7th Elder felt like the Family Head was trying to say sothing through those questions, like giving him an option to leave so route to himself, but why would he even help him.
After all, it wasn't a secret that his son and his grandson were actually planning to take control of the Tang Family, by making Tang Feng the new head of the family.
Since the Family Head was trying sothing like this, then it ant for sure that the person who had been found was soone on his side.
For that reason, with these thoughts in his mind, the 7th Elder claid strongly once again,
"Yes, I am 100% sure of it!"
"Haiz~! It seems like things have just worsened, that scream just now ca from your own nephew, Tang Feng.
The rat best tried to dig up into his stomach!"
Once those words were said a complete silence conquered the whole place, it was just too difficult to keep up with these twists and turns of the event.
People didn't even dare to breathe heavily in fear that they disturbed the deathly silence and earn the rage of the crowd, which were still too engrossed in what they had just heard.
The 7th Elder had actually set out to trap and destroy Tianlong Yun, but it had in actual fact completely cut off all hope for himself, or to be more exact for his 'good' nephew.
At this mont everyone was able to rember that Young Master Tang Feng had been badly injured, and even crippled by the Patriarch of the Family.
If there was soone with the greatest need for herbs and resources to recover was him. Even though Tianlong Yun's recovery was suspicious, there was no trace of evidence on him.
Not only that, but the surefire thod that the 7th Elder had claid, had actually shown his nephew as the culprit.
But there was sothing more to this, as Young Master Tang Feng should be unable to move around properly, and he didn't have access to the herbs and resources.
Which clearly ant that he had soone else helping him, and who could be there to help him out beside his own father, and grandfather.
At this mont, not only Young Master Tang Feng, but even his father, and this 7th Elder were in the eyes of everyone in the crowd.
The 7th Elder wasn't able to understand just when and where things go wrong, as he had turned from the prosecutor to the criminal.
"What!? How could that be!? 7th Elder's grandson would never do such a thing! Furthermore, he is a cripple, he is still recovering from his injuries unable to stand, it's impossible for him to have done it!"
Right at this mont, Tianlong Yun was barely holding his laughter while he started claiming righteously, and strongly.
While he seed to be protecting Young Master Tang Feng, he was actually throwing under the bus the people related to him, who didn't want him to stay a cripple.
How could the Family Head not understand Tianlong Yun's aning and words, as he could only look at this sly fox in great wonder?
This son-in-law of his was just too good! In fact, a bit too much even for his tastes, and even he felt a bit frightened of the future, if he wasn't able to control Tianlong Yun.
But now wasn't the ti to get wondered by Tianlong Yun as he had to act. Otherwise, the whole situation would get out of control and the 7th Elder would be pushed to a desperate corner.
Making a small turn where he was, he bowed slightly and said,
"3rd Grandpa I would like for you to fully investigate this matter!"
Then turning back to the crowd he noticed in a strong and solid voice,
"7th Elder is suspended from his position until further notice, his son will be kept under house arrest, while Tang Feng will be taken to the Family dungeon!
The Elder Council will gather up in three days and discuss the punishnts, after the investigation, until then disperse!"
The whole crowd needed so ti to absorb everything they had witnessed and heard, and they felt that the decision was right.
"WAIT!"
