It seed like a strange paradox and he would have never thought it possible, as the mysterious entity trying to eat his bones and all was the forest itself.
At first, he was able to 'see' only so branches moving towards his bait, but slowly those branches multiplied, and soon it turned into a countless number of them.
Those branches looked like so ghostly hands, extending to grab whatever part of the body of their target that they could, and entrap their target entirely.
Slowly the bait that Tianlong Yun had placed outside was getting wrapped like so kind of insect into a spider's web, or like a gift.
What surprised Tianlong Yun the most though was that none of those trees showed any sign of life inside them.
They had no vitality on them, as they looked like dead trees, but still, they were moving, and their branches were moving too.
They seed like inanimate objects, that were used through soone's soul power, which made Tianlong Yun really apprehensive.
It was already bad news for him that all these trees appeared as enemies to him, and he couldn't sense them at all.
But now there was an even bigger problem in front of him, forgetting all these trees, and their troublesoness, there was another being that he wasn't able to sense and powerful enough to control all this.
That was the real danger behind all this!
While these trees seed troubleso to deal with, he had the numbers needed to push them back, and ensure safety.
But that unknown entity that was able to control all the forest, and make such an entrapnt was certainly sothing that could send the chills down anyone's back.
This was certainly going to be a really troubleso and dangerous situation, as he didn't even know what he was up against here.
The most dangerous enemy wasn't the one who was stronger than you, but the one you didn't know anything about.
If it was on his hands he wouldn't want to face this thing in the least, but he had no other choice because that was the only way he could think to get out of this place.
One thing he had realized the last ti he was out, was that his signs seed to have disappeared, or spread too far, as he wasn't able to find even one of them as he had walked what he thought of as the return way.
His sense of direction had been totally in disarray, as he hadn't been able to distinguish east from west anymore.
Still, he wasn't disheartened as he had never expected things to be easy. After all, he had co here for the inheritance of the Soul God, not just for a walk.
He couldn't continue to think about this anymore, as his attention was once again focused on the bait he had left outside and its condition.
Once again, he was surprised to see that those branches that had wrapped him like that weren't absorbing his flesh, bones, vitality, or Qi, but his Soul Power.
In fact, he could feel that they were even trying to absorb his soul power through the spiritual sense he had spread outside.
The mont he felt that happen, he felt like a starving mythical beast couldn't satisfy its hunger, as it was trying to gobble him all.
He felt like so kind of snack, or appetizer just to open that being's lunch, in fact, he could feel himself to be even worthless than that.
Just what kind of thing was he facing with, no matter how much he racked his brain, he had no information or knowledge on sothing like this.
As he was still trying to understand what was going on outside, he felt that his spirit sense seed to be pulled forcibly towards sothing that looked like a black hole.
Even though he didn't want to do it, he was forced to sever his connection to the spiritual sense he had spread outside, and protect himself.
He was able to achieve sothing like that with great difficulty, as he was now left huffing and puffing, trying to breathe in and out as much as he could.
If he had been one instant late with his decision, perhaps a large part of his soul power would have now crumbled and disappeared in that black hole.
No matter how he looked at it, he and his Soul Power were worthless in front of that black hole, in fact, he felt himself to be even worse than worthless.
Still, his strong heart wasn't discouraged by what happened, as he was now thinking of a way of dealing with his current predicant.
If he was the only one outside, he wouldn't be an easy target, as he would co to hide inside the Old Pouch anyti he felt sothing wrong.
But, at the sa ti, he wouldn't be able to reach his goal easily, and it would take him a long ti to be able to even reach sothing significant.
So, he had to use his numbers, and all the help he could muster, to be able to turn the tables and deal with the problems one by one.
The biggest problem with using his numbers, was that weak voice that affects one's own being, and makes them experience nightmares, and lose their clarity, and persona.
The second problem was that damn pressure upon them ntally that would tire them out easily.
The last and third problem was the darkness outside, as none of them would be able to see anything as soon as they ca out.
Tianlong Yun had tried to bring so kind of fire or light outside the Old Pouch, but the pressure was so big that would put anything out.
Only his Nirvana flas were able to exist in this place, but even the light that the fla could provide was really dim and short-ranged.
He didn't take long to think of a possibility, in fact, that was a truly viable one, and his casualties would be extrely low if it worked.
According to his thoughts and analysis, this place wasn't dark because the light couldn't enter here, but because the pressure was putting off the light elent.
So, if he was able to put off the pressure, then the light would automatically restore on this place, and he wouldn't need to worry about that anymore.
With this thought in mind, he imdiately appeared at the big training plaza inside the Old Pouch, and in a few monts, he selected 3000 disciples.
He separated them into three groups of 1000, as he started telling them about his plan. In fact, his plan was really simple and easy.
Tianlong Yun would get out of the Old Pouch alongside 30 disciples at first, and the mont they ca out, 10 of them would sit down and lay the 'Soul severing Formation' while the others protected their friends.
The mont that the first group was successful, the second group of ten, would go further, and expand their formation as far as they could, while the third group erased the trees in the area.
With the completion of the first phase, Tianlong Yun would use his soul power to slowly add up to their numbers, with the other disciples inside, with their duties already made clear.
This was a risky move because if that mysterious being showed up, and they weren't able to confront that, then only a few would be able to turn back in safety with Tianlong Yun, inside the Old Pouch.
The rest of them would turn into a tasty lunch for that monster. Certainly, none of them backed down, as Tianlong Yun's words were like a God's edict.
Making these preparations, Tianlong Yun gave them a few extra instructions on what should they do outside, and also inford them on what they should be expecting in the space outside.
After that he sat in the lotus position ditating to his natural state, waiting patiently for the situation outside to calm down, and the trees to retreat.
Once in a while, he would send his spirit sense outside to check on the situation, but his reckoning was swift and rapid.
He didn't want his Soul Power or Soul avatar to be sucked dry, or injured by that thing, so he had to be extrely careful and quick on the action.
It took almost 4 to 5 hours for the show outside to finally end, as the branches slowly retracted from the place where his bait stood, as there was nothing more left behind in there.
The whole place was clean like there had been nothing in there, it seed even cleaner than earlier. There wasn't any trace of dust, ashes, or powder from the body of the bait.
It seed like his bait never existed to being with, which surprised Tianlong Yun since he had been able to sense that those trees were only sucking his Soul Power out of him.
Clearly, he didn't tell about this to his disciples as this was sothing that could damper their determination and resolve, who wouldn't be scared of having his existence erased.
Even though they were brainwashed and followed his orders without any question, they were still human beings, and their psyche was really hard to understand and analyze.
Placing this, and any other thoughts to the back of his head, he made a sign to 30 of them to get ready, as 10 of them sat down and ford a circle of radius 3 ters around him.
As soon as everything was ready, Tianlong Yun used one thought, and all of them disappeared from where they were standing, and reappeared outside, in the Nightmare Forest.
Tianlong Yun used his Soul Power to create a barrier around them at first, keeping them safe to lay down the formation, and in no ti the formation was set up and light appeared around them
