Sky Eye swept over, and all three people in the room were ard with small pistols.

Sean Knight was confident he could subdue all three in an instant or, if necessary, kill them outright.

As he was about to make his move, another man suddenly spoke up:

"This ti, we retrieved that mysterious item from the warehouse, hoping that after dealing with the unrelated personnel, we might find another entrance—"

"An entrance would be useless now." Nancy shook her head, "The entire underground city has been crushed by layers of soil and ice! Even if another entrance were found, it’s impossible to enter now."

"So, what exactly happened down there? Did you find the treasure?"

"The treasure... indeed, it exists." Nancy’s face showed pain and a hint of longing, "The underground space was filled with gold and other wealth!

However, it was also filled with so other gases, and I suspect soone accidentally detonated them, causing a massive explosion that collapsed the subterranean city!

At that ti, I thought of coming up to gather others and move those items out first... and it’s good that I ca up..."

It was pretty much what Sean Knight had guessed.

"So this piece of mysterious cultural relic is useless now?" The other person weighed a stone slab in their hand.

Sean Knight’s Sky Eye could see that this stone slab emitted a strange aura.

That aura carried a lot of death, yet it also mixed with so hope and vitality.

Very peculiar!

It was then that he noticed the life force of the person holding the stone slab seed to be slowly drained away by it.

"Put it back in the warehouse," Nancy said with a shake of her head, "I don’t think there will be another underground city in the Antarctic Continent.

This one was already magnificent enough. In such an environnt, it’s implausible for anyone to build another."

"I don’t have the authority." The person handed the stone slab to the man who had spoken first, "I was only granted special permission to enter that warehouse in New York. If we want to put it back, I’ll have to leave it to you."

Nancy reached out and took the stone slab, saying:

"After this operation is over, I need to go to the Manhattan District anyway. Hand it over to , and I will take care of it."

It seed that Nancy had higher authority than that man.

At that mont, a burst of gunfire from below startled the three of them. They all drew their weapons, with two n moving to the door.

"Didn’t we tell them to operate in secret? Why did they start shooting?" Nancy said, dissatisfied.

"Perhaps one of them was prepared, so they had to open fire," one man speculated, "It should be fine. The seven people we brought with us are all forr Special Forces Soldiers; they won’t fail."

"Better to be cautious," Nancy began to pack her bag, continuing as she did, "I’m taking the helicopter out first thing tomorrow morning. Once I transfer back to Madison Avenue, Manhattan and finish the business, then I’ll report back..."

Her tone was full of resentnt, clearly, this trip had caused her significant loss. It was also filled with trouble.

The gunshot lasted less than three minutes before ceasing.

"Notify those team mbers to hurry up," Nancy had already packed her bag, "Leave no survivors, keep it clean!"

No sooner had Nancy’s words fallen than the door was pushed open.

The first reaction of the two n when they saw Sean Knight was to freeze.

Then they died beneath a silenced gun.

Nancy followed suit.

Sean Knight had no intention of exchanging words with them—given their actions, they deserved their fate.

Sean Knight found the mysterious stone slab in Nancy’s bag.

The slab was etched with markings resembling hieroglyphics, incomprehensible to Sean Knight.

He had no intention to understand it but thought that by absorbing its aura, he might receive so kind of revelation.

After searching the area again, Sean Knight found a set of keys in Nancy’s bag and decided to take them.

The three pistols from the bodies, all expensive custom-made with ivory handles, were taken by Sean Knight. They would make fine gifts.

Not long after Sean Knight left the room, Elijah Hastings and his team, ard with guns, arrived.

Seeing the three dead, Elijah Hastings and the others exchanged looks, all thinking of their boss.

They were splattered with blood, and the weapons they carried were so of the rcenaries’.

Realizing the people here were dead, they went back to the cabin to move the bodies out and threw them off the boat.

By the ti they returned to the cabin, Sean Knight had already co back.

"Boss, the cleanup is done," Elijah Hastings reported, "Two crew mbers were injured, but it won’t affect sailing. What do you think..."

"Let’s do it tomorrow. First thing tomorrow morning, gather the personnel. Keep that woman under watch, start monitoring her tonight, then take the boat back. We can’t stay here any longer!"

Sean Knight really didn’t want to cause any trouble. He had already taken the major loot, and the killing was out of self-defense. He didn’t want to get involved with the Davena family anymore if it wasn’t necessary—the best thing was to leave imdiately.

But things weren’t always as he wished.

On his way back to the cabin from there, Sean Knight ran into that woman.

Seeing Sean Knight with Elijah Hastings, the woman’s face changed, and she shouted at Sean Knight:

"Curry, I want to talk to you!"

The Indian known as Indian stood behind the woman, shrugging his shoulders, he said to Elijah Hastings:

"She says she knows Curry and wants to talk to him!"
