Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets Chapter 33 - 33 33 When Should I Follow the Crowd
Chapter 33: Chapter 33: When Should I Follow the Crowd? Chapter 33: Chapter 33: When Should I Follow the Crowd? A tall dark-skinned guy ca over, sounding rather familiar as he asked:
“Sean, have you found a buyer for these things?”
Sean looked at him puzzled:
“How do you know my na?”
The young black guy grinned:
“I was caught in an embarrassing situation earlier. Soone told that you’ve been pretty popular over at the Port District, unloading so good stuff from the container. They told your na.”
So there were people paying attention to him after all.
But it didn’t matter, the excitent would fade over ti.
“Do you need any help?” The young black guy was tall and rather muscular, about half a head taller than Sean. His skin wasn’t completely black, there was a hint of brown to it, and sothing about his face reminded Sean of a historical emperor.
“Not necessary.” Sean gestured at the goods and said, “I’ve already found a buyer.”
“That fast?” The young black guy sounded surprised, and then he introduced himself: “My na is Jason.”
The surprise in Jason’s voice was to be expected.
Usually, valuable goods unloaded from a container required cleaning, appraisal, and then finding the right buyer.
Finding a buyer was not sothing that could definitely be done within a day. So with good connections might do it faster, but others might end up storing the stuff from the container for several days, or even a dozen days or more without being able to sell it off.
So Sean knew very well, how much work Mr. John was saving him!
Sean smiled and said,
“I happened to run into a buyer, so I sold it off.”
Jason curiously asked:
“How much can these things sell for?”
Sean looked at Jason.
Seeing this, Jason quickly raised his hands:
“Sorry, sorry! It’s not that I intentionally want to know your business secrets, just curious—
You know, I’ve actually only recently entered this line of work, initially thought I could make so money, but after buying a few containers, I ended up losing money.
I’m just looking for soone to guide —I can help out for free, doing tasks such as cleaning up garbage and carrying stuff…”
Sean found this amusing. The man just wants to be an apprentice!
But he didn’t need one right now!
He tactfully said:
“I’ve only been doing this for less than half a month, so I’m even newer than you. There are quite a few black people among the treasure hunters, why not team up with them?”
Jason looked a bit dejected:
“They won’t accept . I just moved over from Africa, they think I’m different from them, I feel like they look down on …”
Alright, so there was discrimination within the sa race too!
Before Sean could comfort him, Jason was already cheering himself up:
“I believe that I can definitely make it in this line of work! So I will work hard, I will make big money to support my younger siblings…”
Good on him, acting like a proper older brother.
Just then, Sean’s mobile phone rang. It turned out that the buyer had arrived.
Sean gave him the warehouse number. After a while, an older cowboy driving a pickup truck ca over.
“Hello, are you Sean? My na is Quincy. Mr. John said you have a batch of ox sen here?”
Sean pointed to the industrial insulation box, and then to the buckets on the ground.
But Quincy went straight to the peculiar table.
Sean knew beforehand, this table was for mounting the ox, and the hole was for inserting the ox’s penis.
An artificial sen extraction facility.
“Not bad, well-preserved!” Quincy praised repeatedly.
Then he went to check the buckets on the ground.
He opened one, slled it, even dipped his fingers in a bit.
Sean felt a little nauseous.
He worried if Quincy would take a more intense step and taste it next?
Thankfully, he didn’t.
“Not bad, it hasn’t spoiled.” Quincy appeared like a connoisseur.
After inspecting the bull sen in the insulation box, Quincy started making an offer generously:
“The sen extractor, and the industrial insulation box, 500 dollars. The sen in the insulation box, one hundred and twenty-five dollars per kilogram, outside is one hundred dollars per kilogram, how about it?”
Having said so, Quincy watched Sean Knight’s reaction.
Sean felt that Quincy’s expression at the mont was a bit like his own pet dog running to fetch the Frisbee and waiting for a reward.
He imdiately laughed and said:
“Mr. Quincy, you have given a very fair price! Mr. John wasn’t wrong, you are a very generous person! You will get rich!”
Hearing Sean’s praise, Quincy grinned to the back of his cheek, and he cheerfully took out a stack of dollars, counted:
“Here, this bucket is a standard bucket, fifteen kilograms per bucket. Co, let calculate …”
“Ninety kilograms at one hundred and twenty-five dollars, totalling 11250 dollars, one hundred and twenty kilograms at a hundred dollars, totalling 12000 dollars, plus five hundred dollars for the tools, a total of 23750 dollars.”
Sean quickly titled this figure.
Quincy admired:
“Indeed, you Chinese people are really good with math!”
Well, everyone knows how to sweet-talk in business.
After paying the money, they started moving things to the car.
Little Brother Jason was also eager to help, and Sean didn’t refuse.
As he claid, Sean really admired him.
But so far, it was just a surface phenonon, Sean didn’t plan to take him in yet.
There were too many secrets of his own and adjustnts needed to be made with people being around.
With everything moved, Quincy said goodbye to Sean, reminding him to keep good things that one might need when running a ranch for him, and then drove away.
Sean asked Jason:
“How did you get here? By car?”
“No, I walked over.” Jason grinned and said, “I also rented a container to live in the Port District. You can pick up a lot of useful stuff around here. My siblings are around too.”
“Alright, I’ll give you a ride back.” Although Sean was not on his own way with Jason, he didn’t mind giving him a lift.
Jason was not modest either, he climbed into Sean’s pickup truck and said excitedly:
“When I have money, I’ll buy a car like this, and then take my brothers and sisters on a trip!”
Sean dropped the dreamy Brother Jason back at the port, went to say hello to Mr. John, and then hurried off to Robert’s appointnt.
Robert had set a eting at a restaurant.
He still looked as ordinary as ever, he slid a piece of paper to while eating:
“Sean, destroy the contents of this paper after you finish reading. This was brought with money and cannot be taken as evidence…”
While Sean was taking the paper, he asked:
“Is there any way I can get my hands on the original?”
“Yes, but it will need at least three hundred thousand to five hundred thousand dollars.”
Robert wiped his mouth and smiled, saying:
“But if what’s on the will is true, you could consider it.”
Sean looked down and read:
“I, Jeremy Knight, hereby make my will: all the stocks, cash, and companies under my na will belong to my son, Elson Johnson.
“My Great River Farm, Sea Farm and the detached villa on New York XX Street, and everything inside, shall belong to my nephew, Sean Knight.”
Sean was watching the will, silent.
“Our sources state that the value of the stocks, cash, and companies under Jeremy Knight’s na is about eighty to ninety million dollars.
“And the value of the farmlands and the villa is about sixty million dollars.”
Robert explained: “Originally, Elson got the lion’s share, so he should have no reason to harm you.
“But later, according to the docunts we found, we told you earlier, Jeremy Knight squandered quite a lot of money in the early days.
“When he was on his death bed, he was actually richer than before, which Elson could not understand. Being wary, he thought Jeremy Knight had more valuable treasures hidden away.”
Robert pointed at Sean:
“And Elson thought, the most likely person to get the treasure, would be you.”
Sean was silent.
