"Hello!"

The imperfect Chinese made Sean Knight and his companions feel a mix of familiarity and amusent.

At any rate, it at least showed that China’s influence was growing.

Douglas Cooper chatted with the young man for a bit, while Elijah Hastings went to the reception to handle the procedures.

At that ti, few people knew about the incoming storm, and the hotel had very few guests, so each person got a room, with Sean Knight’s being the hotel’s only deluxe room.

However, the facilities here were indeed old, with places where the paint on the wooden floor had worn off. The television was still one of those bulky ones, and naturally, there was no air conditioning, but there was a fireplace.

Fortunately, the place was cleaned well and didn’t have a ssy sll.

After visiting the dining hall nearby, Sean Knight and his companions decided to take out self-heating hot pots from their luggage and prepare their own food.

By nightfall, the sky over the sea had turned completely dark with dense clouds, and the hotel lobby suddenly beca bustling.

It soon was fully booked, and then those people had to look for suitable accommodations in the city.

At midnight, it started to rain heavily in the port area, and the outside wind was strong, but it didn’t affect Sean Knight and his companions’ rest.

In the early morning, the dark clouds still hadn’t cleared, but the wind had gradually stopped.

Seeing that the sea was still not calm, the four of them discussed and felt it wasn’t a good ti to set out to sea.

Since they only planned to go underwater at night, there was no rush at the mont.

By noon, the clouds in the sky had dispersed, the sea had cald, and the sunshine spread over the sea surface, turning it golden.

"Let’s go," Sean Knight said to Elijah Hastings and the others, "We’ll head out now, take it slow, and reach the destination by afternoon. We can then just wander on the sea for a bit before diving."

Leaving the pier, Sean Knight and his companions went straight towards their destination. They guessed that at this ti, whether it was work ships or fishing boats, everyone was busy fixing their boats—after the strong wind, most boats moored at the pier had been damaged, and now they were all repairing.

The berth of Sean Knight and his team was in the deepest and safest part, so there was nothing much to fix. Everything inside the ship cabin was securely fixed, so they just needed to stock up a bit before setting off.

As expected, there was not a single boat on the sea surface, and the yacht sped towards the deep sea.

Occasionally, so debris and tools appeared on the sea surface, and Sean Knight, standing on the deck, pondered that they might be from so ships that couldn’t make it to the harbor in ti before the storm sank them.

The sea is ruthless, as they say.

"Boss, it looks like there’s sothing ahead?" Elijah Hastings shouted from the cockpit, "A sunken ship and people!"

"Then hurry over and see if we can rescue them!"

The yacht changed course and quickly proceeded in the direction indicated by the radar.

After traveling a few sea miles, they saw so debris floating, and then further ahead, they spotted a life raft with several people wearing life vests, excitedly shouting upon seeing the yacht.

Sean Knight looked at the people on the rubber dinghy, his expression turning strange.

They were actually the workers from the work ship. That man and woman were clearly among them!

Was this... fate?

Regardless, they had to rescue the people.

At that mont, the people on the life raft also recognized the origin of the yacht, and their cries for help weakened, creating an awkward atmosphere.

Elijah Hastings was in the cockpit, while Lincoln Harrington and Douglas Cooper followed Sean Knight on the deck, watching those people. Douglas Cooper muttered quietly:

"I never thought... these people are really dedicated..."

"Rescue first," Sean Knight said, "Since we’ve run into them, we’ve got to pull them aboard."

Soon, the yacht approached the life raft, firmly secured it with a rope, and then pulled the people up one by one.

These people must have been out in the storm all night, so they were still wet. Sean Knight had Lincoln Harrington take a few of them inside to shower and change clothes.

Half an hour later, the staff ca out, thanking Sean Knight one by one—they clearly knew he was the leader. The man and woman among them seed sowhat embarrassed.

In their mind, it was very likely that Sean Knight would rebuke them.

But since he had saved them, no matter what he said, it wouldn’t be too much.

Yet, Sean Knight didn’t rebuke them and instead asked:

"Was it your ship that just sank?"

"Hmm. We were supposed to return, but then a fishing boat lost contact, so we rushed over to coordinate a rescue, but..."

They didn’t finish speaking, and Sean Knight didn’t ask any further.

"We’ll take you to the nearest port," Sean Knight thought for a mont before adding, "You can also contact your colleagues now..."

The staff decided to head to the nearest port—after all, in the current situation, except for Sean Knight’s ship which was unhard at sea, other boats were probably in for repairs.

Using the satellite phone on the yacht, they contacted their office and reported the situation; the yacht then made a turn towards the port.

Sean Knight had thought these people would inquire about his purpose, but to his surprise, they didn’t bother him afterward.

This did give him so peace.

Upon reaching the port and disembarking the people, Sean Knight and his group moved on again.

As the yacht left the port, the staff mbers at the pier saw them off, and one male staff mber asked a female staff mber,

"Should we keep surveilling them?"

"What could surveillance uncover?" The female staff mber was admittedly conflicted, but then she said, "Let’s focus on how to report this. Even if we wanted to surveil, how could we? We don’t have a boat... Let’s just go ho."

A rare mont of rest, and having set aside this matter, the female staff mber suddenly felt a wave of relief—truly more comfortable than ever.

When the yacht neared the island again, night had already fallen.

During their ti on the boat, Lincoln Harrington had prepared so food for the crew, and Sean Knight and his team had eaten their fill, so they weren’t hungry now.

"Boss, do we wait longer, or shall we go down now?"

Sean Knight looked all around, seeing no boats, and said,

"Let’s dive now, get it done earlier, and return ho sooner. I don’t really want to stay here any longer."

No matter how comfortable it is outside, ho is always better. That’s inevitably true.

Captain Hastings and two others suited up in diving gear and alternated forging a path underwater.

Sean Knight waited on the yacht.

As night deepened, the stars appeared in the sky.

Captain Hastings and his team had already made a couple of trips.

"Boss, we found human bones in the corridor," Captain Hastings reported on his return, "The clothing looks centuries old. We don’t know if they were sealed here by soone else or if they never made it out of the Treasure Room. We guess that the Treasure Room must be ahead."

"That’s good," Sean Knight thought for a mont and said,

"Still, we need to be careful. Treasure Rooms mostly have chanisms and such. Although this is underwater, we can’t guarantee that things from centuries ago aren’t still functional. So, don’t rush, and be absolutely careful."

"Don’t worry, boss, we’ll definitely be careful this ti," Douglas Cooper added while sipping hot water, "Captain Hastings said, even if it takes a few extra days, we mustn’t be reckless—otherwise, you won’t let us handle the treasure on our own in the future."

Sean Knight smiled, swallowed back what he was going to say next.

He had originally thought about going down to look himself, but Douglas Cooper’s words stopped him.

Eventually, one must let go.

After resting for half an hour, the three, with their diving gear recharged with oxygen, went back into the sea.

Sean Knight waited on the yacht until more than an hour later.

He had a feeling that this ti, there would be a reward.

Sure enough, half an hour later, two jet skis returned, and on Captain Hastings’ jet ski, there was a box.

An iron box.

Sean Knight, the "Sky Eye," glanced over and smiled.

This haul was not minor indeed!

He could clearly see that from the iron box, laden with thick rust, a rich glow was radiating!

These were not rely valuable items.

He even thought, perhaps the pirate had quite a significant history!
