Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets Chapter 1457 - 699: Made it Big3
Although her words were not polite, Lana Brown’s body was practically hanging onto Sean Knight.
Obviously, she too had suffered greatly from this longing.
Sean Knight, holding her as they walked out, said with a smile,
"I didn’t expect the airport to beco so lively in such a short ti. The businesses must be doing well, right?"
"Of course they’re doing well, incredibly well." As soon as the topic ca up, Lana Brown imdiately beca excited. "You know? Our orders are now backed up for a year—
If it weren’t for my insistence that we keep a portion for sale at the counters, I’m afraid there’d be nothing to sell in our stores. Our products really are quality goods at fair prices, and they’re extrely popular..."
"It’s because you’ve done a great job." Every month, Lana Brown would transfer the majority of the profits into Sean Knight’s account, and he naturally knew how powerful Big Island’s ability to generate money was.
Although Sean Knight created the conditions, if soone else had been in charge, they might not have managed it as well.
"Let’s leave that aside. Did you miss ..." Once inside the car, Sean Knight brushed his hand over Lana Brown’s waist and felt her soften.
Lana Brown was at what one might consider the pri age for a woman, no longer a girl but not yet fully mature, the so-called "young mature" woman.
The two only t once or twice a year, and each ti for no more than half a month. Luckily, Lana Brown was very career-oriented, and she spent most of her energy thinking about how to develop Big Island better.
But as soon Sean Knight arrived, Lana Brown imdiately reverted to a girlish deanor. Upon hearing Sean’s words, she did not answer but instead responded with action—she wrapped her arms around Sean Knight’s neck and kissed him.
Sean Knight gently sent a wisp of spiritual energy into Lana Brown to calm her down, fearing she might lose control right there in the car.
By the ti the skies cleared and the rain stopped, it was already the second day.
"Big Island now has a daily average of about 50,000 people around." Lana Brown sat next to Sean Knight, feeding him fruit while telling him about the situation on the island.
Lana Brown had just taken a shower; her hair was still not completely dry, her complexion was rosy, her eyebrows tinged with signs of spring, as fresh and dewy as a moistened flower, vastly different from her usual stern businesswoman deanor.
"...The nearby newly developed small islands have started trial operations, diverting five or six thousand people from Big Island every day. The main issue is that the facilities on the small islands still need to be enhanced, so most people prefer to stay on Big Island."
"I noticed so new buildings being constructed?" Sean Knight saw new developnts on the road from the airport to the villa.
"Mhm, seven new districts have been built," Lana Brown said. "Since the beginning of the year, the price of houses has more than doubled, but the buyers are still flocking in. If it weren’t for the new restrictions on purchasing, they would have probably sold out by now.
Even so, many people are still buying them as an investnt." She said with a wry smile,
"I’ve always wanted to stop this, but it can’t be helped. There’s no way to prevent it. Identity verification and all that can’t avoid it. It’s too easy to change one’s identity..."
Sean Knight smiled and said,
"Just make a public statent about it. If they want to buy, let them buy. In the end, it’s their money they’re spending. Most of those who co for tourism don’t plan to live here, so it doesn’t matter."
Sean Knight was relaxed about it, and naturally, Lana Brown felt at ease.
"I’m letting our dostic agents look for master carvers for the mammoth ivory carvings," Lana Brown rembered the batch of ivory that had just arrived, "There’s a large quantity, and many are of exceptional quality, so we need good masters to do the carvings."
"Just handle it." Sean Knight was always confident in how Lana Brown managed things.
Of course, he was naturally lazy in this aspect. He was excited when searching for things, but he didn’t like the wrapping up part.
It’s like solving cases, sothing many policen enjoy, but writing the final report is headache-inducing for many.
Usually, many things were managed by Elijah Hastings and the others. Honestly, they weren’t naturally inclined towards these tasks either and preferred adventures and higher-level tasks.
But there was no choice, Sean Knight trusted them, just like Douglas Cooper previously said about the two hundred million dollar transaction left in his hands. What was he thinking at that ti?
Indebted. They had no choice but to take it upon themselves.
Now, with Lana Brown managing most matters, along with professional managers and talents pulled from the security personnel, the bases were sufficient.
But what really put Sean Knight at ease, the first thing that ca to mind whenever there was an issue, was still Big Island.
There was no denying, the Brown Family experienced a trendous loss with Lana Brown’s departure.
Sean Knight had truly obtained a treasure.
"Do you have any difficulties now?" Sean Knight asked, "Tell about any problems. If I can solve them, let’s solve them now."
"Yes, there are." Lana Brown put down her fork, turned, and embraced Sean Knight’s arm:
"I now... just hope to have a child of my own... Our child."
Sean Knight was a bit embarrassed. He knew that Lana Brown must be aware of Aria Wilson having a child.
"I used to think there was a problem with our bodies," Lana Brown said. "But now it seems... you don’t have a problem, and I’ve checked as well, there’s no problem with my health... so the most likely issue is that we haven’t chosen the right timing..."
"So what do you want to do?"
"Dear, could you stay here a bit longer?"
Since Lana Brown had brought it up, how could Sean Knight possibly refuse?
It was just the two of them in the villa. Lana Brown had sent everyone else away well in advance, and Sean Knight hadn’t realized at the ti that this was her little sche.
However, thinking about Lana Brown’s contributions over the years, Sean Knight felt that he owed her a proper response.
With his decision made, he replied with a smile,
"Since you’ve made up your mind, let’s not wait any longer. But be careful—later, you might beg for rcy..."
Lana Brown bit her lip lightly without speaking, her eyes conveying a clear ssage.
Who’s afraid of whom?
