However, Anna had improved by leaps and bounds in the last couple of months since that tournant, and she was eager to take revenge here.
As for Claudia and Duta, they both had a quite easy pairing compared to the others. With the draw that she earned earlier, the girl would et an Indian player with a similar rating as her, around 2250. anwhile, Duta, who got beaten in the last round, would play against a 1800-rated player, a chance for him to earn more rating in this tournant.
Nevertheless, this night was bound to be a sleepless one, as everyone was busy preparing for tomorrow. It wasn’t just a tough matchup, but also a ga that could determine the rest of the tournant. Even though it wasn’t as important as the first round, if sohow they failed to get through the first wall they t, it would be hard for them to bounce back later.

If only Predke wanted to push for a record, he would be able to win and sweep the entire thing into his bag.
That tournant itself wasn’t that good. Only 3 GMs whose rating was above 2500 played there, and the gap between Predke, who was the top-seeded, and the second place was like heaven and hell. With a gap of more than 150 ELO rating, it would be a sha if sohow Predke failed to win the entire thing.
