Ebonstone was a stone that carried the power to absorb and disperse. Its defensive abilities were decided by its size. Theron thought that whatever Resonance he grasped from it would likely have to do with this and increase his defensive abilities a great deal.
What he didn’t realize was that this was only part of the truth.
This reality was only how Ebonstone reacted when it was faced with other forms of Mana. It absorbed, dispersed, and nullified.
But what Theron should have realized earlier was that the thod through which Ebonstone reacted with other forms of Dark Mana wasn’t the sa.
Back when Theron was trapped within Sadie’s coffin, he had managed to use Ebonstone not as a nullifier, but an amplifier, essentially overloading the coffin and breaking it to allow him free. Without Ebonstone, he wouldn’t have had the strength to break out of that coffin in the first place.
In fact, it had also been able to interact with Death Mana specifically, sothing that seed quite close to Dark Mana for whatever reasons might be.
Theron hadn’t thought of it much back then, thinking that he had just found a clever application of his Ebonstone. But he had missed the forest for the trees.
All this ti, he had been so worried about the Nightingale Ancestor leaving sothing behind in his body that might impact or control him in the future, not realizing that if he wanted to, he could have just used his Ebonstone Mine to forcefully absorb it.
In fact, Theron couldn’t help but laugh at himself during that second month. That wasn’t because he had gained a powerful and new Dark Mana Resonance to learn and grasp, one that he managed to successfully turn into a Resonance on the sa level as his Water Mana—at the Titan Resonance Grade—during the fourth month.
That was because he realized that if he had known this earlier, instead of leaving the Dark Haven on Planet Nightingale, he could have used the mine to take it with him. Then, when he reached the Quasi Do of Heaven Realm, he could have taken it out and shot right up to the Quasi King Realm imdiately.
The best part about that was that back when Theron had thought to do that, he wasn’t able to perfectly share and swap between his Dark and Water Mana like he could now thanks to his Void Cores.
aning, if he had had the foresight to do this before, rather than only bringing his Dark Mana Core to the Quasi King Realm, thanks to his Void Cores, he would have been able to bring his Water Mana Core to the Quasi King Realm at the sa ti as well.
Unfortunately, Theron had left the Haven behind so he was out of luck.
But, this was a huge learning mont for him.
While it was true that he had been too busy running for his life all the ti to fully understand all the trump cards he had in hand, there was no ti better than the present.
Not only did Theron take his ti to enjoy the scenery and learn about this new world he was in during his ti away, but he also realized that he needed to truly understand the treasures he had been born into this world with.
And as he did, he began to find that his power increased all the more for it.
In the third month, he learned that the Karmic Needle and Thread could be used both as a defensive tool and a scribe of sorts.
He ran into the first Spirit Mancer Beast he had ever co across in his lifeti during that month. This beast hadn’t been a King, although Theron wasn’t 100% sure, he thought it was near the pinnacle of the Saint Realm, maybe even a Quasi Transcendent.
As powerful as Theron’s Third Eye was, it wasn’t powerful enough to deal with a creature like that. At best, it was equal, and that was giving himself maybe too much credit.
But thanks to his research into the Karmic Needle, he realized that using it as a shield against such attempts was very much possible. It just wasn’t all that straightforward.
He had to form a Karmic link with another target first, and then force whatever attack was coming to him toward it. It also didn’t work at all for physical attacks, and only seed to work well for these forms of ntal attacks alone.
Either way, it saved Theron’s life that day and he actually forced the Quasi Transcendent Beast to run.
Theron’s favorite use of the Karmic Needle and Thread, though, was to tie it to an object he didn’t know or comprehend. He would dangle a thread from the object and let the needle sway freely to the ground.
The pattern the needle drew always worked out into a formation that perfectly described the characteristics of the object. More than once, this had helped Theron avoid danger and even find so special treasures he could have never looked twice at on the side of the road.
And as this knowledge increased, so too did his Angel and Demon Doctrine progress passively.
It was during the fourth month that his Dark Mana Resonance caught up to his Water Mana Resonance, but this was also in large part due to his father’s necklace.
His father’s necklace was the core of his originally quick soul cultivation. It was also the reason he had managed to awaken his Third Eye before Silver Mancy, in addition to the reason he felt that he didn’t really have a Soul thod.
A Soul thod was sothing ant to be akin to a cultivation thod, sothing that had a systematic way of improving one’s soul. Theron’s father’s necklace, though... it didn’t seem to have any of that. It only reacted to his emotions, turning them into an odd energy his soul could absorb.
And during that fourth month, it began to react to the llowing of Theron’s emotional state in a very peculiar way.
