Chapter 397: Finished
Theron looked at the young man, feeling that his depths were quite unfathomable. At least, they would have been before.
For so reason, though his Third Eye hadn’t improved again, Theron felt that he was even more sensitive than before. Maybe it was because he had been too distracted before, but now that he thought about it, if the first two failed entries into the slab had pushed out so many impurities in his body, then his final entry should have been even more beneficial.
But he had been too focused on comprehending back then. Plus, he had also been beneath jets of water, so what impurities did form were washed away before he could see what happened.
Now, he wasn’t sure how much of this lightness he felt was due to his new comprehensions or changes to his body. He also didn’t quite understand why it was his body just reminded him so much of a Manaborn Beast’s right now.
It felt like when he moved, Mana was quite literally shifting out of his way, almost like it had beco wind he could feel slipping between his fingers.
And when this wind was tinged with Water Mana…
It sank right into his pores.
As for this young man, he was powerful, certainly more than Raan. But it was hard to tell without being a Light Mancer if that was just because he was a Fourth Resonance Gold Mancer, or if it was because his Laws were substantially stronger.
‘Protect ? Interesting.’ Theron thought to himself.
There was a flash before Theron’s eyes and a white-clothed ninja appeared before him. But he noticed that unlike the last one that had a waistband of white around their torso, this one had a waistband of gold.
Theron was a bit curious as to what this could an.
The white ninja didn’t say anything. Instead, he double-checked so sort of rune-pulsing device and then took a strong step toward Theron.
Honestly, Theron was a bit taken aback by the audacity of it all. It seed the Mandate Guild deserved a much stronger estimation from him. They had just sent their people to infiltrate Tyre Imperial Clan grounds and made a move to take him away without speaking a single word.
There was no way they would do this unless they had absolute assurance that they would crush the Tyre Clan if it ca to it. Or that they felt the Tyre Clan simply wouldn’t dare.
The young man, presumably of the Tyre Clan considering his white-ash hair and crimson eyes, didn’t make a move imdiately to help Theron, as though he wanted to see sothing first.
What he didn’t expect was that Theron wouldn’t do anything. His wrist was caught and a golden linkage was tattooed onto his wrist.
Theron looked down at the rune in curiosity, and then he felt his Mana being quickly sealed away. His strength sapped away and suddenly he felt little different from a mortal.
His expression didn’t change much when he felt this.
The item that the white ninja had taken out before radiated a similar aura to the plaque. Theron assud that this was what they were looking for. But Theron couldn’t help but wonder how it was they found it, considering the plaque was gone now.
Unless… it had integrated with the slab and now the slab was radiating this aura from within him?
That was a bit more troubleso, because not only could he not take the plaque out, but he also had to deal with the Guild really wanting it back.
There was also the matter of the fact the slab seed to have fallen dormant after Theron’s third entry, so even if there was a thod to retrieve it, he certainly couldn’t now.
That aside, none of this was why Theron was so calm. Instead, it was because he had seen sothing interesting in the device that reflected in the sa runes that the white ninja was using to suppress him right now.
It, too, radiated the sa aura of a Mandate. aning, it was using the energy of a Tribulation to suppress Theron. Which, by extension, also ant that it was very, very fragile to soone like Theron.
Just a little push and it would probably crack.
But sothing told Theron that they couldn’t possibly not know this. He couldn’t possibly be the only one so indifferent to this form of suppression, right?
The Tyre Clan mber stood in surprise, not having expected Theron to allow such a thing to happen so easily.
“Why didn’t you fight back?!”
Theron’s eyes narrowed when he heard the panic in the young man’s voice. Why was he feeling panic of all things?
Looking back down toward the rune locking him in place, Theron seed to understand. It seed that he wasn’t so normal after all.
From the first mont he stood beneath a Tribulation, he had felt the rage the Heavenly Mandate had for him. Originally, he thought this was sothing that everyone felt, so he didn’t consider it too seriously after that mont, especially after he realized that Gold Mancers were so much slower in cultivation due to their fear of the Heavenly Mandate.
But now…
‘It seems that this is more permanent than it looks. What an interesting turn of events.’
Of course, Theron didn’t an that he actually felt that it was permanent. He still felt that he could shatter it whenever he wanted.
What was intriguing him was the fact this young man certainly thought that it was. And the white ninja himself was a bit taken aback that Theron didn’t even try to fight back, so much so that he was still standing there a bit blankly.
However, the white ninja quickly recovered and pulled on Theron. Long golden chains ford as the white ninja turned, rushing away.
Theron found his body wrapped up and carried. He was soaring after the white ninja monts later.
The young Tyre stood there blankly.
Protect Theron? What point was there in that now? He was finished.
