Chapter 325: Ti

Theron landed lightly on the ground, finding the situation a bit ridiculous. They were so incompetent that he could have actually escaped a long ti ago if that had been his main goal.

The greatest issue with that was actually Elder Black, and Elder Black alone. There was no one else keeping tabs on him, and though she thought that he couldn’t sense her clearly, that was far from the truth.

The more Theron learned about the world of cultivation—a world that he had never truly been interested in until he was forced into this life—the more he realized how exceptional his Third Eye was.

Compared to most Gold Mancers he ca across these days, he was far superior. And before his Resonance breakthrough, Elder Black was one of the few he couldn’t see through, but now he knew her cultivation maybe better than she did.

Eighth Gold Mancy, likely having been stuck at a bottleneck for upwards of two or three decades. As for why, it wasn’t because she lacked talent, but instead because there was sothing wrong with her cultivation thod.

Now that… that was an interesting tidbit of information, one that Theron had no intention of using right now because it was entirely unnecessary.

This was all to say that if he wanted to, he could slip out of Elder Black’s Third Eye detection range. Or, more accurately, trick it for just long enough that he could do exactly that.

But once again…

That wasn’t what he wanted.

He had co here for one very good reason, and after seeing the state of things, he decided that that wasn’t to help the Nightingales corner more resources for themselves.

It was to kill.

If those three weren’t so uppity and hadn’t shown themselves to be part of the chase, maybe he wouldn’t have bothered with any of this. But since they had taken such a route, he’d just have to make certain that they had no choice but to appear.

While they thought themselves to be cornering him, Theron wanted nothing more than to rip their hearts out.

After arriving at a familiar rune, Theron suddenly vanished.

In the distance, Elder Black’s eyes widened. She flashed forward at her greatest speed, rushing toward the runes with panic in her eyes. She knew that Theron was very intelligent, and she had been watching out for what he was planning this entire ti, but honestly speaking, it had looked like Theron was just running.

Although he had changed directions a few tis before, trying to shake a tail, she had been able to stay on him quite easily. However…

If his plan was just to rush away, there would be little else she could do but block his path and force him to turn back—even if she didn’t take action personally. But she had never expected that he would just up and directly vanish like that.

An overwhelming danger suddenly overca her, but it was too late. By the ti she wanted to back out, there was already a spatial storm to her back. If she encroached on its territory just another two or three inches, her back would have beco a bloody ss.

‘… There’s simply no way…’

Theron wasn’t a Space Mancer, she knew that. Was he a rare Dual Core genius? Did he have two affinities?

No, that didn’t make sense either. This field had to be set up ahead of ti.

Did Theron understand formations, then? But how could a Silver Mancer lay a spatial formation capable of trapping the likes of her in it?

What Kelyne Black didn’t know was that the formation she was trapped in was forged by the hands of a Divine Space Mancer. Even a casual wave of sralda’s hand could have probably killed her.

But even if she had known this, it would have only made her more confused. Part of why she had continued so confidently was because Theron had just run straight ahead—not turning or pivoting a second ti. At least not while he was in the runes.

How could she know that Theron had only been changing directions before not to shake soone that might have been tailing him, but instead to ti his entry into the runes such that he wouldn’t have to change directions?

All this ti he had been waiting for a straight lane to open up within the runes, and the mont he saw it…

He grasped it, trapping Elder Black.

However, Elder Black was not like the previous Gold Mancer Theron had trapped within here.

For one, she had stopped fast enough that she was only near the edge. And second, her sensory perception was well above that man’s as well, or else she wouldn’t have realized what was happening so fast in the first place.

It might take a few hours, but she could certainly make her way out in ti. But even this was part of Theron’s plan.

The waiting for a lane to co open wasn’t just for the benefit of Theron alone. It was because of the open lane that Elder Black had travelled so far without her senses triggering.

Theron knew that Water Mancers lived for their control—even defensive powerhouses like the Black Clan. Plus, there was the fact she was likely a Runebound Water Resonance wielder to consider as well.

So, all of his plans were ticulously laid.

Theron watched from the inside of the Daggers of the Night lair. After realizing that his plan had worked well enough, and estimating how much ti it would take for Elder Black to co out, he made a decision.

It would be tight, but he could manage it. Even if Elder Black appeared at the last mont, he’d have his own contingencies to deal with that.

It was ti to release the assassins onto the city.

He had already prid them to believe that they were being targeted with his story about why sralda had disappeared. Now, it was ti for the plan he had laid out back then to bear fruit.

They would just do what they do best.

Kill.

Theron pulled his hood over his head, nothing but his blue eyes shimring sapphire in the dark shadows.

It was about ti River made another appearance.
