Ji An released Dahuang and Golden Fur, then emitted the spiritual pressure of a Chao Origin Stage Cultivator. Imdiately, a Stone Lizard and so Demon Beasts like scorpions and centipedes were startled out from the nearby crevices.
They were all just at the Early-stage Qi Refining level, so he didn’t pay them any heed, allowing the Demon Beasts to scatter and flee.
Dahuang, however, had no intention of letting them go, suddenly pouncing on the Stone Lizard and biting off its head.
The Stone Lizard was an Earth Elent Demon Beast, and having eaten Fire-toothed Rabbits and Red-tailed Squirrels for years at Red Fla Peak, it was already tired of them, ready for a new taste.
Golden Fur caught a two-foot-long earthy-yellow small snake and swallowed it whole like eating a hot strip.
Both beasts were fully unleashing their wild nature, only the Golden Feathered Eagle was indifferent. Its usual activity range far exceeded that of the two land-dwelling Demon Beasts, and it was not interested in these Qi Refining Stage prey.
It haughtily looked down at Dahuang and Golden Fur, who were eating heartily, grooming its feathers with its sharp beak.
Ji An surveyed the terrain and shouted:
"Keep watch nearby, alert if any creature approaches."
"Awoo!"
Dahuang opened its bloodstained mouth and roared, indicating it received the ssage.
It quickly swallowed the tender parts of the prey and ran towards a protruding large stone.
The Golden Feathered Eagle let out a clear cry, soaring into the sky and circling in the air, while Golden Fur used Earth Elent Technique, making its figure disappear, hiding sowhere.
Ji An crouched by a stream and saw that the stream water was clear and bright.
He stretched out his finger, and erald green tendrils extended out, falling into the water. This was a simple application of the Wood Elent Divine Mansion, capable of detecting the toxicity of substances.
The tendrils retracted into his body, and he nodded slightly; the stream water was non-toxic.
He used his Divine Sense to probe into the earth, feeling sowhat surprised to find a micro Spirit Vein Node here, containing quite abundant Spiritual Qi, reaching Tier One Middle Grade.
In this desolate mountain wilderness, this was quite rare.
Ji An took out a Wind Furnace and a Water Kettle, filled it with Spirit Spring Water, and lit Spiritual Charcoal. The mountain breeze blew by, bringing a sense of leisure.
He then took out a Copper Tripod as large as a bucket, dug a simple earth stove, skinned and gutted the snake at, and cooked most of the pot.
He also took out a tea set from his Storage Bag and laid it out. Sitting cross-legged on a Pudun, he finally had ti to tally his gains.
A fist-sized snake gallbladder, this item brightens eyes and nourishes the liver, originating from a Late-stage Foundation Establishnt Demon Beast. It could be used as dicine and should be sowhat beneficial to him.
Ji An cut open the snake gall with a small cut, revealing the turquoise bile, slightly fishy with a very faint dicinal scent.
He dipped his finger into the bile and began running the Five Elents Reincarnation Scripture: Wood Mansion Chapter.
As the cultivation technique ran, his liver flashed an erald green, the Dao Seed of Wood of Yi in his acupoints flickered, and a cool sensation followed in his eyes, uninterrupted.
Monts later, the bile faded to colorless. Ji An switched spells, and a pale blue fla turned the snake gall to ashes.
Blinking, the world seed subtly different, yet perhaps not.
He shook his head; even though the snake gall was a bit magical, the gall of a Late-stage Foundation Establishnt snake wouldn’t yield much effect. If it were a Chao Origin Stage gall, that might have been different.
The tea water had boiled, so Ji An brewed Jade Dew Golden Bud Tea, tossing into the Copper Tripod a pack of cooking ingredients prepared by Zhang Cuihua, perfect for making a clear broth.
He took out a Pudun and unpicked it, studying the weaving technique. By the ti the aroma of the at wafted from the Copper Tripod, he had basically figured out how to weave.
Having completely dismantled the Pudun, he tried weaving by hand, feeling he had learned this craft.
Though complex patterns weren’t needed, weaving a new Pudun of a basic design was still no problem.
Ji An applied Object Control Technique, moving the Copper Tripod in front of him. He took out a Spirit Fruit and dried at, sipping Spirit Tea and enjoying the tasty Snake Stew.
If not urgent, he would refuse to take Fasting Pills.
Golden Fur poked its head out from the nearby earth and rocks, with a face full of ingratiating expression, attracted by the aroma.
Ji An picked out a few slices of snake at and tossed them into the air. Golden Fur leaped up to swallow them but kept shaking its head, finding them fragrant but lacking the pleasurable tang of blood.
After finishing his supper, Ji An’s depleted Divine Sense was restored by nearly half.
With the continual increase in Spiritual Strength, the effect of Tier Two Lower Grade Spirit Tea gradually diminished. Now having Tier Two Middle Grade Jade Dew Golden Bud, the situation improved a lot.
He took out the remaining snake at from the Storage Bag, allowing Golden Fur and the Golden Feathered Eagle to eat heartily, while Dahuang was uninterested, taking only a bite before abandoning it.
Ji An then divided the Demon Snake Inner Core into three portions, tossing them to his beasts.
All three beasts appeared excited; refining an Inner Core could quickly boost demonic power, especially when refining an Inner Core of a Demon Beast with higher cultivation than theirs, bringing even more benefits.
Taking advantage of their ti refining the Demon Core, Ji An drew out the Earth Qi of Wu and Ji Earth Qi collected into a Jade Bottle. After combining Yin and Yang, the formless, intangible Earth Elent Spirit Qi transford into a wisp of yellow thread.
The thread shimred with gentle Spirit Light, giving a faintly peaceful feeling.
Ji An combined all the Earth Elent Spirit Qi into threads for safekeeping, then took out the harvested Soul-Calming Grass, using Fla Fire Spell to evaporate the moisture from the Spirit Grass.
The sunset slowly descended, and in the distance, the solitary cry of returning birds sounded, the wilderness gradually quieted. As the last ray of light vanished, darkness instantly enveloped the surroundings.
The night sky was filled with stars like tiny jewels embedded in a black canvas, the starry sea sparkling.
The beasts, having clamored all day, returned to their dens; nightti slaughter began, and in the evening breeze, faint roars and desperate howls could be heard, quickly falling into silence.
Soul-Calming Grass soon dried, and Ji An stoked the charcoal fire. By its light, he began weaving, and before long, another Pudun was completed.
