Chapter 402: The Arena Battles (4)

The student was startled that his sneak attack missed but he sensed Lin Xiao was diagonal back of him. He swiftly raised his leg and kicked backwards.

Bang!

It hit the air.

Lin Xiao had disappeared once more. The student was annoyed but he used his senses as he retracted his position. His hand began to form seals as he scanned his surroundings and noticed that Lin Xiao had sohow ended up at the other end of the arena.

How in the world Lin Xiao moved that fast?

At this ti, Lin Xiao was watching the student carefully as he wanted to know the level of skill of students in Sun Dragon Academy. But looking at how the students were using complicated seals that might take a long ti, Lin Xiao’s expression turned strange.

Swish!

Before the student could finish his seal, a kick appeared before him. He tried to block but the angle was one that he wouldn’t be able to defend easily.

Bang!

In just one move, he had landed outside the arena.

’Weak...’

’That’s because you’re already used to extre battles thanks to your first brother.’ Lin Hu scoffed. Without those life and death battles that Lin Xiao was subjected to, Lin Hu was sure that the one who would be lying on the ground would be Lin Xiao.

After all, without sufficient experience, it would be hard for ordinary people to compete with real geniuses. Life and death battles were proven to be the best thod to allow soone to grow much faster.

And that was how Lin Xiao could end up much stronger like this.

’Well, that didn’t change the fact that I’ll be able to rise in ranks, right?’ Lin Xiao grinned slightly.

Lin Hu scoffed once more. ’Don’t grow complacent. If you’re being too proud of yourself, you’ll end up dying the next minute.’

’I know.’

Lin Xiao looked at the student who was looking at him with disbelief before turning to the referee. The referee seed to understand as he quickly announced. "Lin Xiao won the battle, thus he’s now rank 860."

860?

It was still pretty low. Lin Xiao stretched his hand then eyed the other students in other arena. It seed that he would have to fight a few more battles.

After three more battles, Lin Xiao was officially at the rank of 577 and it was also at this ti Lu Jian ca to the arena. He looked proud of himself since he managed to reach Golden Core Stage 1 after training tirelessly.

But then he realized that no one was paying attention to him.

"Hey, are you not surprised by my new rank?" Lu Jian complained.

The others passed a look at him then they returned back their attention to the arena. Lin Xiao had just defeated his opponent and walked down. Those who were below the rank 500 were not a big deal to him.

"You might want to set your target higher after all the warm up." Princess Lan Yi Hua passed a pill to Lin Xiao. It was the Qi replenishnt pill that many cultivators used and also the teacher prepared for them. They all already knew that during the last few days, the battle would be intense.

Thus, they prepared the Qi Replenishnt Pill for after the battle and they only needed to pay with 1 Spirit Stones.

Each person was only limited to 3 pills before they had to pay the normal price of 10 Spirit Stones per pill.

"You’re right. Do you want to try?"

"Hmm sure."

Princess Lan Yi Hua then challenged the one at the position above Lin Xiao, who also forfeited. He didn’t want to offend Lin Xiao and even though he didn’t know the princess’ real power, he had no intention to fight.

Looking at her opponent, Princess Lan Yi Hua blinked her eyes then turned to look at Lin Xiao and the others. "That’s... not my intention."

"Well, it’s good that you’re in 576 rank now." The others laughed.

Princess Lan Yi Hua was helpless and she shook her head. Anyway, it was good that she didn’t have to fight bitterly and show her real power yet. With this ranking, it ant that she would be able to get a residence.

That was good enough.

"Well, shall we also try?"

"I doubt you’ll be as lucky as her." Lin Xiao shook his head.

As he had thought, the other had to fight when it was their turn. However, they didn’t aim for high rank and only around 600 to 700, which was why the battle was not that fierce. In fact, neither one of them showed their real power.

The students at this rank couldn’t force them to use their real ability.

"This is the first ti I feel that the training given to us is really good." Han Jiang swung his axe happily. Fighting to protect the lake from those greedy people were proven to be very good as he continued to surpass his limit. Now, he didn’t have any problems defeating those at Golden Core Stage 1.

The feelings were really good.

"Don’t get complacent too easily." Lu Jian walked down the stage after using his bad voice to win the battle. The opponent was struck dumb when they heard his bad singing and imdiately forfeited.

What a joke, his voice alone was more than enough to cause destruction in their opinion.

"But this is not fun." Fan Ling pursed her lips. She had scorched her opponent so badly that the latter ran off the stage hurriedly in order to not be burned to death. She wanted a proper opponent who could face her off.

"If you want sothing fun." Lin Xiao thought for a mont. "Co with during the eting with those from other kingdoms. You’ll have to fight overnight."

Overnight?

The others instantly knew that he was talking about assassins. But thinking that it would be a real battle, they were all pumped up.

"Of course!"
