Chapter 370: Lu Jian’s Family
It was out of his expectation that even the guards were close with Lu Jian. Was it because Lu Jian was also an easy going person who could easily make friends?
Lin Xiao wondered about that.
"Is Grandfather ho?"
"Old Master Lu is ho." The guard nodded and pointed inside. He then noticed Lin Xiao who was following Lu Jian. "And this is?"
"This is my friend and also the one I followed in the academy," Lu Jian introduced. "His na is Lin Xiao."
"Hello." Lin Xiao nodded.
The two guards were stunned. They naturally had heard the additional na of the prince that was only recently found and quickly saluted politely. They didn’t dare to act impolite in front of an Imperial Family mber.
Lin Xiao was stunned and waved his hand. "There’s no need to be so polite.... Lu Jian, let’s just go in."
Lu Jian laughed when he saw how awkward Lin Xiao acted. Since Lin Xiao still just got his newfound identity as a prince, it was clear that Lin Xiao was not used to be respected all the ti. He patted Lin Xiao’s shoulder. "You’ll get used to it soon."
"Tsk."
The two youngsters walked into the house and Lin Xiao quickly noticed the garden. It had the faint sll of nourishing herbs and also peaceful atmosphere. Recalling how the guards were also treating them warmly, Lin Xiao felt that it was indeed very suitable for Lu Jian.
Warm family was indeed the best.
The building had ancient feeling but at the sa ti, it was still in very good condition. The structure was made out of wood and certainly gave off comfortable atmosphere, one that Lin Xiao personally liked too.
"Grandpa! I’m back!" Lu Jian shouted when he was near the main entrance.
"That’s Lu Jian’s voice!"
"Wha-? Third Brother Lu is back!"
"Really?"
"Where’s he?"
Hearing the sound of youngsters, Lin Xiao was stunned. He glanced at the back of the main building before him. There were children?
But before the children could scramble out, there was a roaring, "LU JIAN! WHAT ARE YOU DIONG HERE?"
Lu Jian’s body shuddered. His face turned pale as he stood stiffly. "T...that’s my father."
Lin Xiao could guess that Lu Jian’s father was a strict person based on how Lu Jian acted. Probably Lu Jian was not allowed to return back unless it was ergency and told to focus on his cultivation in Sun Dragon Academy.
Bang!
The main door opened and a middle aged man walked out. He had 60 to 70 percent similar appearance with Lu Jian that Lin Xiao could say for sure that he must be Lu Jian’s father. The middle aged man was planning to scold his son when he noticed that there was soone else there.
He grunted but felt a bit weird since he clearly didn’t sense the youth’s presence.
Lin Xiao was using the ancient power to block the Dragon Power and at the sa ti, it helped to erase his presence. Unless he wills it, it would be hard for anyone else to detect his presence.
"Father." Lu Jian quickly cupped his hand. "This is my friend and also the man I follow in the academy, Lin Xiao."
"Lin Xiao greets Elder Lu." Lin Xiao nodded but didn’t act overly polite nor humble. He had been given so crash course by Prince Lin San before that Imperial family mbers would not bow down to anyone easily. They held the prestige of the royal family and naturally it ant that they couldn’t be forced to bow down if it was not to the Emperor or to the Heaven or to their parents.
Elder Lu, Lu Jian’s father, was stumped when he heard what Lu Jian said. The Lu Family naturally knew that Lu Jian followed a no nad kid called Lin Xiao. However, the recent uproar not long ago revealed that Lin Xiao was actually a long lost prince.
As for whether he had qualification to fight for the throne, it was still undetermined.
"Your Highness, there’s no need to be so polite." Elder Lu quickly changed his tone and smiled.
Lu Jian resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Father, why are you here? I thought that you’re still working."
"Haih, the court is not too peaceful lately and there are a lot of work. I’m doing my work from ho because of so order." Elder Lu then turned around. "Co in first, the wind is cold outside."
Naturally cultivators would not care whether the wind was cold or whatever. It was simply for politeness sake that Elder Lu said that and invited them in.
The hall was spacious and there was one main seat. Lin Xiao could see an aged man sitting there. The aura around him told the others that he was a powerful cultivator but his old age signified that he was already reaching the end of his life. Not to ntion, his current body condition might not be able to support him in a bitter fight against a cultivator at the sa rank anymore.
As the old man raised his head, Lin Xiao could feel so pressure but he was not afraid. He had already advanced to Golden Core Stage 1 and normal Golden Core Stage 2 would not be able to defeat him. As for those at Golden Core Stage 3... he was confident that at the very least, he would be able to run away.
"Grandpa," Lu Jian greeted. He proceeded to introduce Lin Xiao the sa way he introduced the young man to his father before.
Old Master Lu looked at Lu Jian then to Lin Xiao. He nodded faintly. "Your Highness, this old bone is already old and can’t stand up to greet you."
"It’s fine." Lin Xiao smiled. "It’s an honor for to be able to et with you..."
He really didn’t know how he should call the old Master as. Glancing at Lu Jian, the latter quickly whispered, "Grand Elder Lu.’
"Grand Elder Lu."
