Chapter 266: Good Luck?

Well, not that it was that surprising.

The reward was only 1 spirit stone, so it was clear that the reward was most attractive to those at Foundation Establishnt. If they could have the spirit stone and used it for their cultivation, they could reduce the ti they needed to stay as Foundation Establishnt by several weeks.

Or even less, depending on the amount they needed.

Thus only those who actually needed money would take such boring request.

There might be also those who were like Lin Xiao, coming here because they wanted to pass the border. In other words, so of those who ca along were actually those who wanted to illegally stay in other kingdom.

The kingdoms were not in that harmonious condition. Even if they were in collaboration, they would not allow the citizen of another kingdom to enter their own kingdom so easily no matter what the reason was.

Thus, they could only enter illegally.

Like what they did right now.

Lin Xiao sighed. ’I began to think whether I should alter my face or not...’

’When you don’t wear your headband, your looks naturally look different. Besides, you only need to worry about it in the future when you have truly beco a royalty that was feared by others.’ Lin Hu snorted.

Lin Xiao couldn’t argue.

It was impossible for them to reach the gate in just a day with the speed of most Foundation Establishnt Cultivators. They only reached a bit more than halfway and Lin Xiao could see the gate from a far.

Like what Wei Mu said, the gate was really just a gate with the wall surrounding it that was made of rocks or sothing like that. The gate itself was massive and seed as if it was built several ters above.

From a distance, it still looked small, though.

"That’s the gate to Hua Lan Kingdom." Prince Lin San pointed to the gate while standing near Lin Xiao. They were on top of a small hill to rest for the night, so they could see the gate from this position.

Lin Xiao nodded. "We’re going to enter through that gate?"

"Where else do you think we’re going to pass? The wall might look ordinary but it’s anything but that. You won’t believe how many people die just from trying to climb those walls." Prince Lin San shook his head.

He still could rember the many tales that was provided to him back then. They were telling him how dangerous the walls were and that no one would be able to pass the wall forcefully.

They had to use the gate.

The wall was embedded with so many traps that even masters were unwilling to try crossing it. Thankfully, there were several gates over the distance of millions of kiloters so they only needed to make sure that they were passing the right one.

There was only so areas where there were no wall.

"But I don’t see any walls in the mountain back then."

"The mountain is the only place where we can’t even pass. There’s actually a layer of poison in the middle that will prevent us from reaching the other side." Prince Lin San was amused at Lin Xiao’s lack of knowledge. "If you try to use the underground path, it’s possible, but you might also get lost."

"What if you use wind elent?"

"You an flying above? You’ll die."

"Eh?"

Prince Lin San pointed to the wall. "They’re equipped with so machinery that will attack if soone try to pass above the wall. Unless you’re stronger than Golden Core Stage Cultivators, it’ll be better for you to not try it."

Hearing his words, Lin Xiao was a bit intrigued. So far, he only knew the highest cultivation rank to be Golden Core Stage 3. Could it be that there were even higher ranks above it?

He was more interested now.

"Let’s go back."

"Hmm, I want to walk around."

"Up to you. We’ll set up the tent first."

"Ok."

Lin Xiao jumped to the woods and started to walk around. He always liked to stay in forest area more than lake. After all, he had grown up with so many herbs around him that his parents taught to him how he should harvest them.

They were all embedded deep into his mind, providing him with clear and nice mory.

For him, forest and herbs might be equal to ho.

"Lin Xiao, there’s a Rainbow Petal Yang Flower."

"Hmm?" Lin Xiao’s eyes turned sharp when he heard what Lin Hu said. He swept his gaze around and naturally landed on the beautiful flower that was located near the rocky areas that was around a hundred ters away from him.

His eyes lit up because he knew that it was one of the few rare flowers that was of Yang type. If his younger brother, Lin Yun, could have it, the brat might be able to grow stronger and overco his constitution better.

"I’ll take it."

"Careful."

Lin Xiao noticed that there was a large bear that was guarding the flower but right now, it was busy fighting with another beast more than a kiloter away. His eyes narrowed as he glanced up above.

The other cultivators who were staying there naturally knew that there was a fight but they didn’t know the reason. They were also simply waited by the side to know what the two bears would do.

If they could benefit from the battle, it would be good for them.

"I’ll think about it later...."

The priority right now was to take the treasure as fast as possible without anyone noticing.

Lin Xiao leapt down and dashed forward by using Moon Evasion. He arrived by the flower and quickly used his hand to dug the ground around the Rainbow Petal Yang Flower. The scorching heat began to perate deep into his skin.

He calmly circulated Nourishing Lake Technique as his hand worked faster and faster. He had to get it before the bear returned.
