It was a mild sumr night in New Jersey, at the tLife Stadium, but on the pitch was hot blood.
Over 76,000 fans were in attendance in the stadium; two nations singing, clashing, refusing to leave quietly.
It was dubbed the last dance of rivals.
Both giants arrived bruised but unbroken. Brazil's heartbreak at Ronaldo's header still raw. Argentina's shattered dream against Nigeria still stung.
This was not just for bronze, this was for pride, for bragging rights.
For South Arica.
The starting lineups for the epic ga were released an hour and 30 minutes ahead of ti.
Brazil started in a 4-3-3 formation with Alisson Becker in goal, while ahead of him was the defensive quadruple of Danilo, Marquinhos, Eder Militao, and Renan Lodi.
In midfield was the trio of Bruno Guimaraes, Lucas Paqueta and Joao Gos, while the attacking trio upfront comprised Raphinha, Neymar, and Vinicius Jnr.
Argentina started on the opposite side in the sa 4-3-3 formation, with Emiliano Martinez in goal, while ahead of him was the defensive quadruple of Nahuel Molina, Cristian Roro, Lisandro Martinez, and Marcus Acuna.
In midfield was the trio of Enzo Fernandez, Rodrigo De Paul, and Alexis Mac Allister. Upfront lined the dynamic trio of Lionel ssi, Julian Alvarez, and Nico Gonzalez.

The referee's whistle was the signal to kick start the ga.
From the first whistle, it felt like a final.
Tackles flew as the vendetta and rivalry of years ignited on the pitch. Not just tackles on the pitch, chants roared, even as legends sought redemption.
It was a tight and technical ga from both nations, their attacking players especially excelling, and then in the 12th minute of the ga, the deadlock was broken… by Brazil.
In the 12th minute, Neymar, hungry to salvage Brazil's pride, combined with Vinicius on the edge of the box, weaving through Roro and curling it into the far corner.

Neymar slid on his knees in celebration, pounding his chest, screaming into the night in defiance.
Brazil led, but Argentina fought back.
In the 27th minute, Alisson was forced to make a save.
ssi fed Alvarez with a lofted through pass. Alvarez didn't think, his striker senses tingling as he hit the ball on a volley from point-blank range.

It was a sure goal, and yet, Alisson denied it with pure reflex.

Argentina didn't give up yet though despite that gilt-edged chance.
And then, in the 33rd minute after sustained pressure, they found their mont through Lionel ssi.
It ca from nothing.
Receiving the ball and skipping past Joao Gos, ssi drifted to his left, where he bent a stunning strike from 20 yards with lethal precision and a devilish curl behind it.
Alisson stretched, but it dipped under the bar.
1-1.
The crowd bowed to genius.
The half ended with both teams trading blows like gladiators. Pride burned brighter than dals.
The second half started and Brazil surged out of the tunnel.
Neymar orchestrated, Vinicius terrorized down the left wing. Argentina, however, had ssi pulling every string.
It was superstar vs superstar, and Argentina prevailed.
In the 58th minute, they struck again, this ti through Enzo Fernandez.
Mac Allister floated in a corner as chaos ensued in the box. Amid the chaos, Enzo pounced on a loose ball, drilling it past Alisson.
2-1 Argentina.
Albiceleste fans roared like Dragons, banners waving, drums pounding.
But Brazil was not done yet either.
In the 65th minute, it was Vinicius' turn to shine.
He struck. A samba solo. Receiving the ball from Raphinha, Vinicius sliced through Molina and Roro with blinding pace, before dinking it delightfully over Emiliano Martinez.

BOOM!
The stadium shook. Brazilians fans danced, believing again.
Getting 3rd place may not an much, but winning against Argentina ant the whole world to Brazilian fans.
For now, it was tied.
Both nations went for the winner, both unwilling to go to extra ti.
Neymar and ssi traded free kicks, both parried by heroic saves. The tension in the stadium peaked.
Then ca the final twist. The mont of truth.
Argentina countered. ssi drifted centrally, exchanged a slick one-two with De Paul, before delivering a delicate chipped pass over the defense.
Julian Alvarez t it on the run and volleyed past Alisson.
3-2 Argentina.
ssi didn't celebrate wildly. He just raised his arms, knowing he had delivered one last gift to Argentine fans around the world.

The stadium exploded as Argentine fans went haywire in celebration.
And then…

ssi faced the dia at the end of the ga.

Neymar also had a few words for the dia.
"We fought. We showed who we are. Losing hurts, but football won tonight".
Carlo Ancelotti also faced the dia.
"It was a great battle. Brazil will rise again".
