It only takes about a half hour to get everything barricaded enough to keep zierel out. Now we are just getting ready to start the shifts.

"I trust you guys to watch our backs while we rest," Airi says as she starts to let out a yawn.

"You got nothing to worry about," Zeno assures her.

"Yeah. The two of us definitely can handle zierel that co our way," I chi in, reaffirming what Zeno said.

"Alright then I’m going to get so sleep," Airi says as she starts to walk off.

With that I found a nice spot that watches over the whole room and makes it impossible for Zeno to get away quietly. He doesn’t seem to be interested in much that’s happening though.

After Airi and Alia went to get so rest he just went mute.

I shift my focus away from that for the ti being as I watch the doors and windows we blocked up. Nothing happens for the entirety of my shift, just silence as we both sit here doing nothing.

Occasionally I’d see him glance over but I don’t think he really has the best intentions in mind. He probably wants to kill just like the zierel hunting humans.

"He won’t do it with Airi around," Celeste chis in confidently.

Because the two of them would have to fight? That is my only guess and Airi is pretty damn strong.

"Because killing a light bearer now is probably the dumbest thing he can do," Celeste responds softly.

I’m not a light bearer.

"I know. Airi would have to be killed if you get targeted since she won’t allow it," Celeste explains.

I look towards Zeno for a mont befor looking back at the entrance.

So he won’t do it because of the fact that it ans killing Airi? That much I could’ve guessed.

He didn’t do it back then when everything happened the way it did... So I don’t think he’d do it now. Then again, I never really saw what happened with Aether.

The mory disappeared right as things were starting to happen so I don’t know what else unfolded.

"Just don’t focus on him for now. You need to get a lot stronger before fighting a light bearer," Celeste says.

I feel a hand grab onto my shoulder lightly and imdiately shift my attention towards it.

"It is just Liam. I’m here to take over," Alia says with her hands up.

My blade is raised towards her and I didn’t even an to react that way but it felt like a natural instinct.

"Sorry, I just didn’t expect you. I’ll let you take over now," I respond while lowering my sword.

"Don’t worry about it. Get so rest," Alia says with a relaxed tone.

I give one last wave before heading over to find a nice spot to rest in the room, it doesn’t take much since beggars can’t be choosers.

A small corner in the far end of the room where I can just barely see Airi and Alia watching over everything. I lean back against the wall and close my eyes for a little while.

"They will die."

"Yes, death is certain."

"You won’t be able to stop it."

Voices echo around as I start to look around, but I am alone in the dark.

"He’s a fool."

"Yes, a fool."

Once again I look around with haste, trying to find any potential source of these voices but nothing. They just co and go as they please with no real indication to what they are.

I don’t think these voices are ever good... Just I don’t have a single clue about what they are. I’ve been hearing them occasionally when certain things happen but then it just disappears in an instant.

Probably not sothing to concern myself with at this point. It hasn’t caused any harm and I doubt that it can do such a thing.

"Don’t worry about the voices. Eventually I’ll take care of them for you," Celeste says with a calm tone in her voice.

Step. Step.

From the darkness I see her make her way towards .

"Another opportunity to see you?" I question.

"Temporarily. It is probably about ti to leave Amadon," Celeste responds with more of a serious expression on her face.

"Wait, why?" I ask while keeping calm.

"I can sense sothing and I don’t think it’ll be good if we are still here when it arrives," Celeste answers with a bit of concern in her voice.

Her being concerned is rare for the most part but this is yet again sothing that she is warning about. Yet Airi tells the infection is not sothing I should rely on in the slightest.

She’s the one who keeps helping .... The person who is giving strength when I need it most.

So maybe I should just give up on trying to keep that promise.

SHAKE! SHAKE!

I jolt awake as I see Airi standing in front of with a serious look on her face.

Why is everyone looking so serious now?

"We are leaving," Airi says without hesitation.

"Has that much ti passed already?" I question.

"You guys slept for a little while so you should be good. Sothing bad is coming our way and I want to avoid it if we can," Airi answers before making her way to the barricade.

"It is probably the best idea to keep us from dying," Zeno chis in.

"Yeah, I’m sure it is," I reply while moving towards Airi.

I give a hand with moving the stuff away from the doors so we can leave; It doesn’t take long to get it all done either, but we do end up hearing so loud stomping in the distance.

STOMP! STOMP!

We all head outside and begin to make our way towards the opposite direction of the loud stomping.

"Amadon really isn’t the best place to be in," Alia says with a bit of frustration in her voice.

"That’s exactly why we are leaving!" Airi shouts back to her.
