Problems.

Everyone has them, so she says. I’ve seen it downstairs when I first entered this house. But a lot of people have also awakened so sort of power or magic after the world went dark.

Wiggle. Wiggle.

The wiggle in my arm takes my attention as I look down at it once again. It is completely healed from before with scars from where the Zierel tore it open.

Black like veins went throughout my left arm and I can even see one of them moving around. It is a disgusting sight to take in each ti I look down at my arm but I’m stuck with it.

"This is disgusting," I say quietly while looking down at my left arm still.

"I think it is unique. You have sothing that no one else has, potential for sothing powerful. I don’t think anyone has had an infection like this before." Tess responds while giving a shrug.

I didn’t think she heard say that but maybe she is right. This could be sothing strong for all I know.

A chance to get back at the Zierel.

A chance to fight back.

This could be what I need to kill them... To rid them from world. I know there isn’t a guarantee that the world will ever recover but how many people are actually fighting back?

I look towards Tess who is just sitting on her bed across the room.

"You are surprisingly nice, what happened to that cold tonality of yours?" I ask with more of a serious tone.

"Sotis it is better to be that way to avoid any chance of caring. People co and go all the ti lately, I’d rather not deal with the emotional damage." Tess answers while leaning back against the wall.

Emotional attachnt. I still have a lot of that... My family’s death will probably always haunt , for as long as I live.

Getting close to anyone again could also cause a lot of issues. I hate the thought of being alone but it honestly might be the best thing for .

"You are kind of onto sothing there. It isn’t really smart to get close to people in a new world like this," I say calmly.

After that I can see Tess get comfortable in her bed, she kind of looks a bit upset by that. It didn’t really matter to right now.

I couldn’t really sleep much after the nightmare I had previously, so I stayed up the whole night. It felt weird being up for the rest of the ti, so I kept looking out the window to see the sa darkness out there.

If the sun is really gone, how are we still alive? That’s another thing I don’t understand.

"Wouldn’t it be nice to rip them apart?" A voice asks nonchalantly.

Imdiately I look around the room for any potential place that this voice could’ve spoke to from, but no one else was here but Tess.

Still asleep in her bed.

Who spoke to ? I feel like I’m going crazy, is it because of this infection in my arm?

The sound of Tess moving around on her bed takes out from my focus on the voice, she looks like she is finally up too.

"Why are you looking at like that?" Tess asks with a confused look on her face.

"Just had a weird dream I guess." I respond, obviously lying. Not that she knew.

I don’t think she’d react too well if I told her that so sort of voice spoke to . Including the ripping people apart thing... That wouldn’t go well with anyone that hears about that.

Ding-Ding!

A bell suddenly goes off, almost like it is going off throughout the entire courtyard.

"What is that about?" I ask, breaking the silence.

Tess stands up from the bed and begins to adjust her hoodie.

"They’ve been working on this academy crap for a couple weeks now. I don’t really know what they want to accomplish but knowing how to fight is important." Tess responds with a calm expression on her face.

"That’s definitely sothing," I say with no real interest in my voice.

On a different note, Tess told about looking deep within myself for this feeling. Finding out what I’m capable of doing would be quite a big deal.

It would help to know if I have any sort of special power or magic to . Digging deep is not sothing I’ve done before.

Here goes nothing I guess.

I ignore everything within the room as I close my eyes, listening to the faint sound of my heartbeat. It just feels like darkness is all around with no real sign of anything else here.

Ba-thump. Ba-dum.

Maybe focusing on my heartbeat a bit more would be helpful.

Focus. Focus.

So sort of light begins to form in the distance as I slowly start to walk forward.

Wiggle. Wriggle.

As I get closer to this light I can feel the thing in my arm moving around more and more.

That feeling is not sothing I’ll ever get used to. I don’t think it wants to get closer to the light which makes sense since it was done to by a monster from the dark.

"I won’t let it slow down," I say while pushing forward.

Pain is all I feel within my arm as if it is being torn apart once again... The feeling gets more intense as I get closer to the light.

I can feel the urge to scream out in pain but I know it won’t change what needs to be done.

Step. Step.

Finally I find myself standing in front of this giant light, but it isn’t really coming from anywhere specific. Nothing is really here and the pain is getting worse with each second.

"Aren’t you quite special." A woman’s voice echoes around .

Tear! Rip!

My arm starts to feel like it’s being ripped apart more and more.

"Grahh—" I scream out in pain as I grip my left arm.

What is special about ...? This damn infection doesn’t make feel special in the slightest.

"It seems I picked the perfect person," She says with a calm and casual tone.

Who is speaking to now...? It couldn’t be Tess, right...?
