Chapter 356: Chapter 356. Broken Formation

Wu Di’s powerful Ignition Fist caused the hard skin of the battle puppets to crack with each punch. Tuang Yin’s flas didn’t lose to Yang Li. The battle puppets fighting her were full of scorch marks.

Regarding swordplay, Xa Jien was even more an expert than Xin Wuming. His sword flashed with dazzling light as it pierced the puppet’s hard body. His tal-elent arcane art, Hard Sharp Edge, hardened his sword. The art coated his sword with a thin layer of tal. His long, slim sword beca extrely sturdy but remained flexible. The art also enhanced the sharpness of his sword, increasing its piercing and cutting abilities.

Wong Cou was a close-range fighter like Wu Di. The mastery of his Rock Suit was at the level of Wei Linkun’s. He transford into a rock golem. With augnted defense, he went into a pumling contest with the battle puppets.

The six on the front line managed to take out one or two battle puppets in the first clash, but they were soon beset by the remaining battle puppets.

The battle formation employed by the battle puppets allowed them to secure advantageous positions after their first wave took the attackers’ attention. Once that happened, the attackers changed into defensive mode.

"Damn it! There are too many of them!" Wu Di cursed. The pressure forced him to transform into Saintly Ape. His power greatly multiplied after the transformation. The battle puppet clashing directly with him was sent crashing into the ground with one punch.

When he wanted to finish that battle puppet, the others sward him with kicks and punches. He wasn’t worried about being sward. His boosted speed let him dodge all those attacks and perform counterattacks. However, these punches and kicks seed unending. Whenever he forced one away, another ca in its place. He never thought much of it, but he now experienced for himself the efficacy of a battle formation.

If Wu Di, who gained the power of the beginning Mystic Stage, couldn’t overpower the battle puppets, the situation would have been worse for the others. The battle puppets ca at them seemingly from everywhere. They were having trouble just to keep up. None of them managed to destroy another battle puppet after the initial clash.

Thankfully, the support from behind allowed them to withstand the puppets’ seemingly endless assaults. Yang Long’s water whip lashed out at the battle puppets that tried to sneak attack the front line. Huang San summoned vines to entangle the puppets and slow them.

Sima Fang threw her talismans, which burned in their flight. The talismans turned into fla arrows that scorched the battle puppets. At the sa ti, she used her arcane art by swinging her feather fan. Her swing conjured water darts. She was unleashing two opposite elents at the sa ti. Fire and water assailed the battle puppets unceasingly.

Accompanying her fla arrows and water darts were Amon’s flying knives. Together, their long-range assaults were like crisscrossing lights of white, red, and blue.

Despite Amon and Sima Fang’s attacks creating a striking spectacle, their effects were severely ineffective. The battle puppets didn’t even treat their attacks as nuisances. The puppets continued fighting regardless of the flying knives, fla arrows, and water darts battering their bodies. As long as those attacks didn’t hit their cores or hinges, they weren’t bothered.

"Send the tad beasts!" Sima Fang commanded.

The tad beasts were growling back there. They were already agitated when they saw their masters get into conflict. The only thing keeping them back was their masters ntally restraining them. Now that the restraint was lifted, these beasts shot forward.

The first to arrive were Sima Fang’s White-beak Hawk and Yang Li’s Crimson Lynx. The two were extrely fast. The crimson lynx charged into the battle puppets’ midst and perford complex jumps. It clawed and bit as it moved. The White-beak Hawk swooped in and crashed into its target with powerful claws. It then flew up and dove back down, repeating the assaults.

The Marsh Howling Hounds joined the battle. They stord into the battle puppets, clawing and biting with ferocious determination.

If their opponents were humans, these interruptions would have thrown them into chaos. Not these battle puppets, though. They maintained their formation. The tad beasts’ action was just a minor inconvenience.

While most tad beasts fought directly, one slithered its way unnoticed. It was Yan Long’s Thorny Earth Snake. The battle puppets might have linked minds, but none of their sights were on the floor. The snake sneaked onto a battle puppet that was retreating after suffering Wu Di’s punch. It then sprang up and coiled around the battle puppet.

With the battle puppet bound, the Thorny Earth Snake released its thorns. The thorns punctured the bound puppet and the other puppets in the vicinity. It then tightened its body. The bound battle puppet started cracking under pressure. The other puppets punched the snake to force it to release their comrade, but the snake’s scales were tough.

The bound puppet could finally endure no longer. It broke apart. This was the first battle puppet that got destroyed after the first clash.

While the other tad beasts charged straight ahead, the Thunder Roc stayed behind. It waited until all the other beasts had engaged the battle puppets before it spread its wings. It then shrieked. Out of its mouth, a lightning bolt shot out.

The lightning bolt struck one of the battle puppets at the periphery. The puppet was stunned by the lightning. It stopped moving. The Thunder Roc zood forward then. It arrived before the stunned puppet in an instant. Its massive claws grabbed the puppet in the upper and lower parts of its body.

The Thunder Roc flew up with the puppet in its grip. The battle puppets couldn’t fly, so they couldn’t help its captive. Up there, it applied pressure to its grips. The captive puppet started cracking in its mid-section. It was then ripped apart violently.

With the intervention from the tad beast, the battle puppets’ formation was finally disrupted. Wu Di took this chance to use his Light-speed Multi-strikes. He turned into multiple light clones that blitzed around. Each light clone struck a battle puppet and sent them flying back.

"Hah! I’m going to ss you all up!" Wu Di exclaid as he rushed forward. His Saintly Ape was coming to an end. He wanted to destroy as many battle puppets as possible.

"Wu Di, stay in formation!" Sima Fang called.

It was too late, though. Wu Di’s speed let him charge deep into the battle puppets’ midst in a short instant. He was not in danger, considering his current power equaled a Beginning Mystic Stage. It was Tuang Yin, whose back was suddenly exposed, who was in a predicant.

A battle puppet rushed in through the opening caused by Wu Di’s absence. Tuang Yin was fighting two battle puppets. She wasn’t aware of the one that ca behind her. Sima Fang called to warn her, but it was too late. The battle puppet landed a punch on her flank.

Tuang Yin scread in pain as she fell to the floor. The three battle puppets advanced to finish the job.

"Zhuan San, Yan Long, help her!" Sima Fang commanded.

Huang San slapped his hands onto the floor. Vines burst out and entangled the battle puppets. Unfortunately, they could only slow the puppets by a little. The puppets tore through the vines using brute strength.

"Yan Long, aid !" Huang San exclaid. A longsword appeared in his hand.

Yan Long was unwilling. He knew Tuang Yin was Amon’s girlfriend. He was happy if she died. However, she knew Huang San’s true identity. He knew the secret from his clan, who found out when they tried to arrest Amon. He might dare disobey Sima Fang and risk reducing his rewards, but he didn’t dare disobey a prince. He took out his weapon, which was also a sword.

The two engaged the three battle puppets in lee combat, keeping them from reaching Tuang Yin, but another battle puppet rushed in. Tuang Yin got back up, but she felt incredible pain inside her. So of her bones were broken from the punch just now. She tried her best to fight back, but yet another battle puppet ca.

She suddenly found herself getting yanked back. As she did, she felt whooshing air rushing past her side. Amon ca out of thin air, punching the battle puppet about to attack her just now. She realized then the one pulling her back was a vine from Amon’s hand.

"Eat a recovery pill!" Sima Fang told Tuang Yin, who imdiately complied. At the sa ti, Sima Fang used two talismans that erected protective bubbles around them.

Their formation was broken. Several battle puppets used this chance to get to them. Sima Fang waved her feather fan. The wave conjured a powerful wave of water that kept the puppets at bay. She then poked her body using the body-strengthening ridian point technique.

A yelp was heard. One of the Marsh Howling Hounds was injured by a punch. It was now down on the floor. A battle puppet gave the downed hound a hard stomp, which caused its inside to burst out.
