Dao Se surveyed his surroundings again. He noticed sothing else this ti. The Demon Gang mbers were forming a periter around them. During the initial charge, many Demon Gang mbers stord the center area where the three organization leaders were. But instead of ganging up on him and Hu Ti, the Demon Gang mbers went past them and ford a human wall. Amon’s Earth Pulse supported this wall, preventing enemies from breaching through.

Dao Se saw Gao Lan leading a team trying to punch through this human wall to aid him but failed. As he and Hu Ti were alienated, they were each beset by three combatants.

Dao Se snickered at the attempt. Did they think he and Hu Ti could be defeated by just three opponents with lower cultivation? In that initial clash, he had killed one instantly. Only Amon and Qiang Dan were left.

He looked at Amon and said, "Do you think you can give

trouble simply by stealing my footing?"

A layer of water materialized under his feet. He turned to Qiang Dan and advanced. The water layer under him acted like a cushion and a conveyor belt, increasing his movent speed while keeping him from touching the ground.

Amon used his Earth Pulse, causing the ground under Dao Se to tremble, but Dao Se was unaffected. Considering water was weak against the earth elent, the tremor from the Earth Pulse should be able to disperse the water protecting Dao Se’s feet under normal circumstances. However, Amon’s cultivation was too low compared to Dao Se. He also didn’t have an affinity for earth elents, so the tremor couldn’t affect Dao Se’s water glide.

With the Water Glide, Dao Se headed for Qiang Dan. Qiang Dan was prepared. His glaive swung repeatedly, creating a crisscrossed network of water streams. These streams ford into multiple water glaives that assailed the incoming Dao Se.

Dao Se drew water from his water globe, forming a pair of watery gloves on his two fists. He then perford his martial arts, Changing Fate Fists. His power was augnted by the water gloves. Each punch delivered a powerful wave of water.

The collision between the two water-elental arcane arts caused splashes everywhere.

Qiang Dan was the one who had to retreat on each clash. The stream from his River Path decreased with each collision. Both his art and cultivation lost to Dao Se.

"Haha! You people are delusional if you think you can win this fight!" Dao Se mocked.

A flying knife ca to his back. His mystic-stage senses easily detected the danger. The water globe floating around him moved by itself. A water trail followed its movents. This water trail ford a narrow wall that deflected the incoming knife.

Dao Se snickered at Amon’s attempt to ambush him. He threw Amon a condescending look. He sensed Qiang Dan attacking while he looked away. He turned back, ready to deal with Qiang Dan, but was surprised to find Qiang Dan was not alone. Soone was beside Qiang Dan. It was the opponent he had killed earlier or thought he had killed.

This opponent was forming a large tal blade using one hand. This hand with the tal blade swung following Qiang Dan’s glaive. As the tal blade shadowed the glaive, the water from the glaive transford. The tal blade was as if rging with the water, giving the water a sense of denseness.

Dao Se punched at the incoming glaive. When fist and glaive collided, he fully expected himself to co out on top. His other fist was readying a follow-up punch when his opponent was staggered. However, the one who was thrown back by the impact was him.

He could hardly believe the result.

While he was staggered and shocked, he sensed multiple attacks coming from behind. His state of mind caused his water globe to move sluggishly. It couldn’t block all the attacks targeting his back. He jumped to the side as his body twirled, dodging most of the attacks his water globe failed to block. These attacks turned out to be Amon’s flying knives. He failed to dodge one of them.

This one knife cut into Dao Se’s side. Despite being a quality knife made of the claw of Cave Mantle Cat and thrown using grandmaster-mastery Hundred Shooting Stars, it only caused a nick on Dao Se’s skin. The knife couldn’t penetrate enough to cause a deep wound.

Dao Se touched the side that was cut and looked at the blood on his hand. Even though this wound was nothing, it was humiliating to be wounded by a junior much weaker than him.

"You, bastard!" Dao Se bood.

He gathered his aether. The water globe beside him expanded, but it suddenly stopped expanding and instead started shrinking.

"What...?" He noticed sothing wrong. The aether circulation inside him beca chaotic. Sothing was invading his body. He made a quick scan and learned that the invasion originated from the small cut in his side.

’Poison?!’ He thought. He quickly channeled his energy to stop the poison from expanding and forcefully pushed it out.

The knife that nicked him indeed contained Amon’s poison, the non-lethal Fragile Bone Muscle Poison. The poison in the knife was the potent version that could affect a Mystic Stage cultivator instantly.

Fighting the poison from circulating through his body, Dao Se couldn’t move much. Qiang Dan and Xin Wuming ca at him again using their combination assault. Dao Se responded by using his water globe, which was still shrinking, to receive the attack.

His water globe exploded after colliding with the combination assault. He was forced several steps back. Another flying knife ca at him. He had to sway back to dodge.

He turned to Amon with a face full of hatred. "Fucking asshole!" He cursed. All this moving caused the poison to spread faster all over his body.

On the other side, Hu Ti was also beset by three opponents. Hu Ti fought Lu Fei directly while two other opponents harassed him from the side.

Even though Lu Fei had lower cultivation, he proved to be a problematic opponent. Lu Fei was an experienced fighter. His kicks had a long reach. His Seven Altering Kicks were fast and confusing. When Hu Ti managed to close in, he used the bladed tal fan in his hand to repel the attacks. He knew when to push and when to retreat. When he retreated, he used his tal fan for a long-range attack. This tal fan returned to his hand even after Hu Ti smacked the weapon away.

The other two opponents harassing from the side made it even harder for Hu Ti to end this fight quickly. One was a girl using the fire elent that was the bane of his tal elent. The other was using the wood elent, which was weak against his tal elent.

Hu Ti found it unbelievable he failed to make short work of his opponents. Even though he was outnumbered, all three had lower cultivation than him. This proved the three were experienced and first-rate combatants.

He decided to eliminate the opponent with the wood elent first. With his elental superiority, he should be able to do it quickly. He was about to use Star Absorbing Tide when the girl with the fire elent ca in between him and his target.

The girl was Yang Li. She used Fire Breath. Hu Ti blocked the fla using his Golden Sphere Drape. The translucent sphere wrapped around his body. When he wanted to push forward, he was surprised to find his sphere slowly lted.

’Impossible!’ He exclaid in his mind. Although fire was the bane of tal, the girl was only at the Beginning Transformation Stage. She was not only weaker by more than one stage, but she was also in the lower cultivation realm. Her fire shouldn’t have the power to affect his tal.

What Hu Ti didn’t know was Yang Li had an S-affinity to fire. This boosted her elental power many tis, which bridged the large gap in their cultivation level.

Hu Ti had no choice but to retreat before the fla burned through a hole in his Golden Sphere Drape. As he did, a whip shot out from within the fire.

This whip ca from Wu Lang, the opponent with the wood elent. The whip was from his arcane art, which produced a barbed whip. As this whip lashed through Yang Li’s fla, it caught fire. But instead of getting burned to ash, the fla instead enveloped the whip, turning it into a flaming whip.

Hu Ti pushed a palm at the incoming fla whip. The palm was enveloped in golden light. The impact between the palm and the flaming whip resulted in a flaming shockwave that threw the three away from each other.

"Elental support...?" Hu Ti uttered.

While Dao Se was confused when Qiang Dan and Xin Wuming combined their arcane arts, Hu Ti was more knowledgeable. While every elent has its strengths and weaknesses against another elent, every elent could also support a different elent. This support between elents resulted in a rged attack that produced an abnormal increase in power.
