The next morning, Damien stirred awake with a clear set of eyes, feeling refreshed. He felt as if he never felt so energetic right after waking up in a long while.
However, feeling two hands over his neck and two soft lons pressing onto his chest, he looked down. His brows raised, surprised to see Valentina sleeping on his body.
She didn't weigh much at all, and he only felt as if a soft cushion was lying over him. Seeing her naked body lying innocently over him, he couldn't stop himself from getting aroused.
Especially when her soft jugs were teasing his chest and as he involuntarily felt her satiny back, he was greatly tempted to stroke her skin.
In fact, this was not the first ti he was having these thoughts. Every single day, whenever she slept close to him without any clothes, he had a hard ti suppressing his inner fire.
After all, it was not easy for a cultured man like him to have a naked bewitching beauty hug onto him every night, especially when she was soone whom he cared for.
He had no idea how long she would want to sleep with him and sighed, thinking that there was no need to think about those things now.
He wondered why she was sleeping in this fashion and why he couldn't rember what happened after he took a bath.
All he rembered was having a dream about Talia, and surprisingly that dream did not end in a nightmare. It was as if he talked with Talia, and she only spoke comforting words to him.
And after that, strangely, he didn't dream anything else. It was like his brain was completely switched off and was in a relaxing state.
He wondered whether it was because Valentina drank his blood. But he was sure that he had never had such a good sleep in a long while.
Till now, all his dreams of Talia or others didn't end well. And the worst nightmares were when he dread about Sofie, which usually made him wake up from his sleep.
Thinking about Talia, he was reminded of Valentina as both were very attached to him and would try to be with him the first chance they got.
He rembered the first ti he t Talia when she was a high school girl, and he saved her and 25 other students from a drowning school bus. He still could vividly recall how Talia accidentally slipped through the window and drowned.
Thankfully the bus hadn't completely drowned by the ti he got there, or there might have been casualties.
He had to first save her and pulled up the school bus with just one hand. Till they resurfaced, he rembered how Talia tightly clutched onto him and looked at him with dreamy eyes.
At that ti, he was amused by her reaction and how she didn't even let go of him for a while till he promised her that they would et again.
She was studying in an elite school as her parents were very rich and made sure she received the best education and all.
That was not the first ti Damien saved people. Soon after he got his powers suddenly, he had been putting them to good use for others' welfare and beca a hero to the world.
He would even visit various parts of the world to save people or even other countries in difficult predicants. Wherever he went, people would salute him or bow down to him with deep respect.
No country dared to make an enemy out of him. But even if so did, he would easily forgive them.
But despite how famous or powerful he got and the various influential people he t, he never forgot about Sofie and was always there for her to take care of her.
However, along the way, he did make many sworn brothers and sisters, which he found out too late that most of them weren't truly his friends.
Talia was one of his close friends who always stuck with him through thick and thin. After the drowning incident, she would visit him from ti to ti and hang out with him. She would also follow him in his adventures.
She would even be extre to the point that she would hire a jet or helicopter in the middle of a class to visit Damien, who sotis would be halfway across the world involved in a dangerous operation. She would keep up with the news on her mobile during class and her secret informants to know Damien's each and every single move.
She wanted to help Damien in whatever he does and trained hard to be his sidekick. She already helped him by pestering her parents to provide Damien with whatever he needs subtly.
But she felt that it was not enough as she wanted to help him personally by being there and spending more ti with him.
Damien rembered how so people worldwide started developing superpowers, and the numbers only increased as the years passed. Talia was no exception, and she had the power to phase through any material.
Damien suddenly felt as if sothing clicked inside his mind as he rembered yesterday Valentina coming inside the bathroom by phasing through the door.
'It can't be…a coincidence?' Damien looked at her sleeping peacefully on his chest and asked himself how the two also possessed similar abilities other than their similar nature. He then shook his head inwardly, throwing away all ridiculous speculations.
But he thought if he reincarnated then why not...
However, the odds and other variables were too improbable for him to know and he didn't want to get his hopes up nor he wanted to delude himself by looking at Valentina as if he was looking at a different person unless he knew for sure. He thought it wouldn't be fair to Valentina.
He knew Talia's ability was one of the key factors in rescuing him from the supermax facility where he suffered five years of torture. Even though her parents died in The Great Calamity because of him, despite how heartbroken she was, she never once blad him nor believed that he did it on purpose.
She knew Damien was not that kind of a person and had absolute trust in him.
His gaze beca soft as he lovingly stroked Valentina's head. He couldn't understand why he was suddenly feeling complicated thinking about Talia and Valentina.
Although he badly wanted to et Talia and the other girls again, he thought it was best they never t him and suffered again. All he wished was for them to be born again with a peaceful and happy life.
He didn't even know how to reciprocate their feelings, and he felt that if he t them again, he might hurt them again.
Her body twitched as she opened her eyes, feeling Damien's loving caress on her head.
She twisted her neck forward and looked at him with a glowing smile, "Big Brother, you woke up?"
Damien smiled as he cleared his thoughts, "Yes. But why did you sleep like this? It won't be as comfortable as sleeping on the bed."
Valentina shook her head and said in an affectionate tone, "Nothing can be more comfortable than sleeping on Big Brother's body."
Damien chuckled as he shifted her body over to the bed, "Is that so?
"Sadly, it's ti to get up. Co on."
As the two sat up on the bed, Damien looked into Valentina's ruby red eyes.
Seeing him stare at her so intently, Valentina felt happy inwardly and asked in fondly, "Big Brother, what is it?"
Damien didn't say anything and pulled her closer for a warm hug.
"Big Brother?" Valentina was a bit taken aback by the sudden hug. But then she warmly smiled as she hugged him back in an endearing way.
Damien kissed her head and said in a warm tone, "Nothing. It's just you seem more beautiful today."
Valentina giggled, feeling elated after hearing his complint.
Damien got off from the bed, "Co on, we have a place to visit. Ah, you can shift into your cute cat form now."
As the next two days were holidays for him and he had no classes, Damien decided to join the Forsaken today.
Valentina nodded confidently, "Okay. But why can't I co with you in my human form?"
Damien sighed, "It's because the place we are going to is a secret place run by a powerful organization. Not only them, but everyone knows that you are the personal disciple of Alchemist Azrael. And if you co with in your human form, they will think that Alchemist Azrael is also involved with the Forsaken. So, you understand why we can't let people think like that, right?"
Valentina had a thoughtful expression for a mont and nodded, "Mn. Okay, I will co with you as an ethereal beast."
Valentina thought it didn't matter if she had to transform into her ethereal beast form as long as she could accompany him.
