A granny was wearing a shirt almost identical to Ji Xizhi’s, even the sunhat was the sa, only with slight differences in color and pattern. She quickly grabbed Ji Xizhi and anxiously said:
"Hey, young lady, don’t leave yet. I see you might be here alone? We’re just short of one person here. I see you’re by yourself, why not join our group, and we’ll participate in this... whatever event together!"

The first prize supermarket card was worth five hundred, so joined the ga just to get more eggs, while others aid specifically for that five hundred.
The granny who tried to team with Ji Xizhi was Granny Zheng, who had co over from a sowhat distant village. Only three people ca from her village, lacking one for a full team.
But with Granny Zheng’s excellent recruiting skills, a four-person team was quickly ford.
Just as Granny Zheng’s four-person team was complete, the event hadn’t started yet, but a few university students from the organizing team got into an argunt with a group of grannies for so reason.
"Why can’t we? You didn’t say anything earlier, didn’t you say anyone could participate?"

With this setting a precedent, the other families soon brought their school-educated children, so even called in their primary school-aged grandchildren, simply to compete.
However, the village Granny Zheng belonged to was a bit further, aning going back to fetch people would conclude the event before they returned, which was impractical. Besides, Granny Sun had just found a partner for her team, making it a full four-person team, so they decided not to swap anyone.
Five or six minutes later, all participating teams were ready, and the event was about to start.
