"Kaizen, on you!" shouted Xisrith, the first to notice Delgron in the air.
Xisrith's warning ca too late. Kaizen barely had ti to look up before he felt a powerful impact on his back and as if that wasn't enough, Delgron took advantage of the first hit to deliver a second, a kick to Kaizen's chest, who was thrown forward, his body colliding with a large piece of debris from a building.
Xisrith, realizing that he was now a target, ran to land next to Kaizen imdiately to help him. Her eyes were wide with shock and concern as she touched him gently.
"Kaizen! Are you all right?" she asked as she ran with her voice laden with anxiety.
As she approached, he opened his eyes a little, nodded and tried to get up, even though he only had a tiny fraction of life separating him from death. However, pain exploded up his spine and his muscles protested against the movent, almost preventing him from moving, but he ignored the pain. They couldn't afford to falter now.
Delgron appeared before them again, a cruel smile on his lips. "Looks like you two aren't having much fun, huh?" He sneered, his eyes shining with satisfaction at the situation he had left Kaizen in. "Kaizen, I was warned that you were the strongest human in this place, but, I don't know, that doesn't seem right."
Kaizen's breathing was ragged as he leaned on the King's Sword, his muscles tense with pain. He ignored Delgron's mockery, his mind focused on finding a way out of this desperate situation.
Xisrith, next to Kaizen, raised his red katana with determination, his eyes still filled with anger, but also with courage. "You may be powerful, Delgron, but we won't give up so easily. We'll fight to the end!"
Delgron let out a harsh laugh, his eyes sparking with disdain. "You have courage, but courage won't be enough to defeat soone like . I'm one of the most powerful demons, a being at the top, and compared to you, I'm a perfect existence."
"Perfect existence?" Suddenly a mysterious male voice asked Delgron. "Demons aren't perfect. In fact, demons are more problematic and flawed than all the beings who have ever set foot on Midgard. How do I know that? Because I am one." said Og'tharoz, approaching as he floated.
Og'tharoz was a man with shaggy black hair and poor clothes. His only striking feature was his eyes, but as his long hair usually covered them, he looked superficially like an ordinary man. Despite this, anyone with a slightly sharper eye was easily able to see how powerful he was, because the aura he emanated was toxic and diabolical, contrary to his simple appearance.
Delgron was a superior demon, so he had sharper eyes than most beings in existence, so he could easily see how strong Og'tharoz was the mont he first felt his presence. So he instinctively stepped back and, while listening to his words, held his hands together to stop himself shaking.
"Who are you?"
Og'tharoz, with an enigmatic smile on his lips, landed in front of Delgron, his red eyes glowing with an intensity that made the superior demon shudder, then replied:
"I am a demon like you, but I am not just a demon, I am an abomination created from the very fabric of darkness and I was sent to Midgard several eons ago to conquer this world for Surtr. My na is Og'tharoz, but you may know as TaTiBahSirBenetNiiuq." Og'tharoz replied and his real demon sounded as if he was speaking with two voices at once and in several different languages.
Delgron swallowed. He had always believed that his strength made him invincible, but eting Og'tharoz was too big a blow for him.
"No, you can't be HIM!" Delgron recoiled even more. "HE disappeared among the branches of the Yggdrasil!"
"Yggdrasil? Ah, the tree of worlds..." said Og'tharoz. "Of course that's a lie from Surtr, because to him I'm an aberration, a failure, after all I didn't blindly follow his wishes."
Delgron was visibly upset. He had t an opponent that was beyond anything he had ever faced. The superior demon, who a mont ago had been an imposing and invincible force, now seed insecure.
Kaizen, still standing with great effort, watched the interaction with trepidation.
Og'tharoz took a step forward, forcing the superior demon to back away involuntarily with his overwhelming presence. The aura emanating from Og'tharoz seed to erode the very space around him.
"You are a demon, Delgron, but compared to , you are nothing. You are an imperfect creature, while I am an abomination who transcends the rules of this world." Og'tharoz spoke with a cold calm, his words cutting like blades.
Delgron tried to gather his courage, but his hands were shaking and his pride was in tatters. "I am Delgron, the Soul Hunter! I am invincible!"
Og'tharoz let out a laugh that echoed across the battlefield, causing the players present to shudder. "Delgron, you're just a plaything in the hands of fate. Your arrogance has blinded you to the truth, and the truth is that you are weak."
With one swift movent, Og'tharoz reached out towards Delgron, and Delgron scread in agony as he was lifted into the air. In the eyes of ninety-nine percent of the players present, Og'tharoz was lifting Delgron just as Kaizen did with his Psychokinesis, but in the eyes of Kaizen, the only player present able to see through the veil of reality, he saw a black mace of darkness coming out of Og'tharoz's fingertips and grabbing Delgron's neck.
Kaizen's eyes widened, 'That doesn't look like the Og'tharoz I know...'
