There were two secret realms that opened up every year, the one exclusive to Transcendents which opened during the first week of June and one that opens in the last week of August but only allows three thousand entrants.
Initially, when exiting the secret realm, Ezra thought to test out his Gatemark to see if his abilities would allow him to access the secret realm even after it had closed, but with the secret thod he just discovered, naly consuming energy gathering pills and top tier astral elixirs together, made it such that the idea didn’t hold much rit anymore.
At the mont, his entire body was soaked in energy, almost on par with the atmosphere inside the secret realm.
With so many pills in hand, Ezra decided to simply cultivate till the next expedition, which was now less than a month away.
After two weeks of non-stop cultivating, Ezra took so ti off to examine the effects of the soul cleansing pill and the bloodline enhancent pills.
Starting with a soul cleansing pill, he discovered that its function on him was just as expected, it did nothing.
Ezra expected this from the get go.
Its function was practically a smaller version of the effects of , which would bond souls together and in turn enhance his soul. It stood to reason that the pill would have very little to no effect on him.
The Bloodline enhancent pill on the other hand did a few things.
It strengthened the strands of demonic blood within him, giving him a boost to his base strength, speed and regeneration, but because the demonic blood within him was so little in the first place, the boost was miniscule.
It seed the corruption associated with demonic blood was truly gone as there was no sign of it.
’Will I beco a Demon if I keep taking these bloodline enhancent pills?’ Ezra pondered.
[That won’t happen no matter how many you take] Zydrax replied.
[It’s a blood enhancing pill, not a bloodline serum. It can only strengthen what’s already there. It can’t convert blood to that of bloodlines and it can’t create it either]
’I see’
Nodding, Ezra got onto another topic.
’Now that we’re talking about it, I should pay the Demon world a visit soon’
It suddenly occurred to him that the world of Demons that invaded Orion was also within his universe, and that he could do a lot about that.
Thinking about it, he ought to have paid them a visit long ago.
’As to how I will handle those demons...killing them all would be going to far...but all the Mythic-ranks will have to die’
[Why don’t you just rule over them after killing all their leaders]
’Rule over Demons? ?’ Era asked, flabbergasted.
’You really think those things would listen to anything anyone says?’
[They respect strength above all else, so once you show your power they will bow down to you. Or you can just forcefully make them your subordinates and then you can make them do your bidding]
’If you say so...’ Ezra replied with a shrug, but put those words on a ntal note.
With the effects of both pills certified, Ezra put away all the soul cleansing pills, planning to either sell them or give them to Orianians when they beca Transcendents, but that would be done later.
As for the bloodline enhancent pills, Ezra put most of it away but left a few to use.
Then, he ingested an energy purification pill to condense the energy and stabilize his breakthrough.
A day later, after checking the ssages in his communicator for anything important, he took another energy gathering pill together with an astral elixir and went right back to cultivating.
Being clear-headed and concentrated made ti blur to his senses.
In what seed like a short ti, weeks passed by and the expedition he was looking forward to was soon to comnce.
Now that it was finally ti, Ezra sighed.
He wished the ti for the expedition would be extended so he could keep on cultivating.
With annoyance, Ezra stood up, his bones creaking at the first movent in weeks.
His stomach was the second entity to protest, letting out a grumble to let its dissatisfaction be known.
Without the soul concentration pill, Ezra thoughts flooded in, causing him to pause and take a good long look at the cave he was in.
Seeing his miserable state, he couldn’t help but ask himself...
’What am I doing here?’
His thoughts began to unravel as he went through his mories.
Looking at himself, he just shook his head.
In the process of waiting for the Black Dragon for two weeks, he had subconsciously grown accustod to staying in this cave.
How else would you explain it?
He has millions of Crysts in his bank account but decided to stay in a damp cave to cultivate.
He also rembered sothing else.
’Didn’t I reserve a cultivation room before coming here?’
Shaking his head in awe of his own stupidity, Ezra promptly exited the cave.
Looking at the cave’s entrance, he couldn’t help but acknowledge its usefulness as well.
’This place is also a very good hideout’ he thought, teleporting to Cretin.
There, he ate until satisfied, before taking a shower and putting on a new set of clothes.
These ones were of blue and white color.
With his communicator back on, he inford Sidal of his soon absence and Asadon, the Red Dragon clan leader, of his participation.
In the midst of doing this, he got news of the most important issue of all, one he had been waiting on for months on end.
Getting confirmation of its completion, Ezra teleported almost on instinct to Sidal’s forr base on Cretin.
It was being managed by another person now, but directives had been given by Sidal to never obstruct Ezra’s way, so there were no issues.
Ezra opened up a hidden underground compartnt in the base exposing a gray spatial door floating within.
It was the workshop where Galvan worked on his orders.
Surprised, Ezra stepped in.
Just like last ti, the workshop was filled with smoke and heat, with the sound of hamring ringing endlessly.
Just as Ezra was going to look around, Galvan stopped his work and turned back to see Ezra.
"Ah, Mr. Sylvester!"
Galvan’s face brightens instantly, lighting up with a smile.
"I hear you’ve finished the repairs to my weapon?"
Getting back to his senses, Galvan quickly took off his gloves.
"I finished working on it five days ago. Please follow "
He directed Ezra towards a table much longer than the rest with a black cloth laid over its contents.
Grabbing the black clothes with both hands, Galvan decisively pulled it off, exposing the item beneath.
There lay his beloved weapon, Skyfall, but with a much more sinister look.
With the scales and claws slted into it, the once silver scythe was now dark purple, while its blade retained a black gleam.
From the onset, Ezra could already feel the changes, but that didn’t stop him from grabbing it.
"Hoo"
Feeling the familiar structure, Ezra exhaled.
"It took most of the parts from the Astral Beast and consud far more resources than I anticipated, but I’ve strengthened it as much as possible"
"Because it was strengthened with astral material, it has built up enough resistance to be immune to astral corruption and will take far less damage from astral attacks. The next ti you fight an Astral Beast, you won’t have to hold back on your attacks’’
"Also, because it consud so many resources, I can’t say what sort of abilities it might develop going forward"
"Alright, that much is good" Ezra remarked.
"Hmm, I liked the silver color better...too bad"
Galvan swallowed inaudibly at those words, his eyes glued to Ezra’s reaction.
Holding it in his palm, Ezra infused his elents into it.
Utilizing fire, the blares heated up.
Ice made it let off a chill, freezing the tips of the table.
Darkness had it subrged in pitch blackness, unseen.
Lightning saw it brighten up with white sparks.
Blood saw the blade turn black, covered in Ezra’s blood.
Then, he spun it once.
To this, Ezra gave an affirming nod, smiling.
"Hmm, it’s a bit heavier but everything else feels the sa. It’s well made"
The approval had Galvan beaming with pride as he wiped sweat off his head.
Honestly, he hadn’t been able to remain calm the whole ti thinking of what to do if Ezra had misgivings about the weapon and demanded a refund.
He let up a pent up breath in sore relief.
Looking at Galvan, Ezra recalled another detail.
"Did you get what you wanted as well?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you a Master Blacksmith now?"
Galvan nodded, making a big smile.
"Yes, I’ve beco a Master Blacksmith"
In those words was the pride of a Dwarf who had put everything into Blacksmithing.
Ezra felt happy for him.
After this, Galvan inford Ezra about his additional request to make standard weapons from the Astral Beast’s body parts.
With Skyfall consuming so much, what remained of the Astral Beast would only suffice for two weapons, so he asked Ezra what he wanted.
Ezra decided on a sword and a spear.
In fact, the item Galvan was slting when Ezra ca in were Astral Beast scales.
He was slting them in preparation to make a spear as that was Ezra’s original request, this too just days after completing Skyfall.
A very hard working Dwarf indeed.
Having received his weapon, Ezra left the workshop to the Dwarf.
Outside, he teleported back to Polaim.
While there were other things to do, Ezra’s body was itching to take Skyfall on a spin after such a long ti.
It was also a good ti to check how much higher his power had grown since rank four.
