"Okay!"

Shen Xing agreed and recited the phone number for Jiang Cheng to hear.

After Jiang Cheng morized it, Shen Yue just ca out and rode her bike to take the two kids to school.

Leaving from the school gate, Jiang Cheng first went to night school.

Is it too much to ask to use the phone?

Seeing Jiang Cheng coming over during the day, Principal Wang didn’t even ask, just skillfully pushed the phone over.

"Principal, your phone-pushing move is especially cool!"

Principal Wang confidently tossed his head and stood up with his hands behind his back:

"Of course! Back in the day, I was the best of the best!"

"I’m going to the bathroom."

Jiang Cheng knew Principal Wang was giving her space, so she imdiately called out with concern, "Principal, thank you for your hard work!"

Principal Wang staggered, luckily catching himself against the wall.

What’s hard about going to the bathroom???

Jiang Cheng mischievously pulled over a chair and sat down, dialing the number Shen Xing gave her.

At present, the phone cannot be directly connected, especially when dialing into special departnts, it requires local transfer, then another transfer, it’s quite troubleso.

After Jiang Cheng gave out the phone number, she simply waited in the office.

A dozen or so minutes later, the phone rang, and Jiang Cheng quickly picked it up.

"Hello, I’m Jiang Cheng from ## City, looking for Shen Xing’s elder brother Shen Que."

"Hello Mr. Jiang, Shen Que is on a mission and his return date is uncertain."

Return date uncertain?

That’s not a good phrase.

"Okay, if Shen Que returns, please have him call this number back, tell him Shen Yue and Shen Xing are very concerned about him."

"Okay, I will certainly pass on the ssage."

The call ended.

On the other side, the person on the call looked at the leader beside him, whose face was too dark to discern the expression, and asked, "Can Captain Shen really not be reached?"

"Missing for five days."

The questioner clenched his fist and slamd it on the table, gathering strength and said, "There must be nothing wrong! That’s Captain Shen after all!"

"Yes! There will be nothing wrong!"

Jiang Cheng had so unsettling guesses in her mind.

"I hope everything is alright."

Jiang Cheng walked out of the office and saw Principal Wang at the gate engaged in lively conversation with Uncle Wang at the gate.

"Uncle Wang, Principal Wang."

Principal Wang saw Jiang Cheng coming out and quickly stepped forward to stop her, saying:

"Leaving already?"

Jiang Cheng looked at him with a smile and asked:

"Principal, if you’re inviting to eat, just say so, no need to be so indirect."

Principal Wang rolled his eyes, but still said, "I can invite you for a al, but there’s sothing I need to discuss with you."

Jiang Cheng pretended to ponder.

"Getting things done... that’s a different rate."

Principal Wang imdiately said with understanding, "Feel free to use the phone as you please!"

"Haha, I told you our principal is the most generous!"

Jiang Cheng then followed Principal Wang back to the office.

"Jiang Cheng, most of the students have jobs. If they casually take leave for performances, being gone for days, they’re afraid of losing their jobs."

Jiang Cheng understood and said:

"So, we can’t just take leave to perform, we need to be invited to perform."

Principal Wang caught onto her line of thought and asked, "So who are we teaming up with this ti?"

Jiang Cheng retorted, "We call this a strategic partnership."

Principal Wang nodded repeatedly and said, "Right, right! Who are we collaborating with this ti?"

Jiang Cheng shook her head, laughing, and continued:

"Right now, we’ll perform a few free shows during our free ti, then work with the press to polish a few articles to start the publicity."

"Once the reputation spreads, the invitations will co naturally."

"You just focus on the school matters, leave the rest to ."

Principal Wang agreed wholeheartedly; he trusted Jiang Cheng completely.

After they ca to an agreent, Jiang Cheng left the night school and turned toward the recycling station to find Sister Wang.

By now, Du Yun had returned to work, and the children were being looked after by her mother-in-law.

Talking about this, Du Yun really had to thank Jiang Cheng.

Ever since her mother-in-law knew of Jiang Cheng’s capabilities, the treatnt of her granddaughter improved drastically.

Li Chunxiang, the kid’s mother, always fantasized: maybe her granddaughter could be the next Jiang Cheng?

Du Yun tactfully vacated the office, letting Jiang Cheng and Sister Wang chat.

"Sister Wang, here you go."

As they talked, Jiang Cheng pulled five or six apples from her bag.

"Take them ho to nourish the baby, they’ll be the best-looking, smartest little one when they’re born."

"These apples are great!"

Sister Wang accepted them without reservation.

"Regarding the issue you asked about before, there’s a reply now. If you have ti in the next few days, bring the kids to my place, I’ll take you to see the teacher."

"That’s great! Thank you, Sister Wang, as for whether Shen Yue can et the teacher’s standards, that’s her business."

After chatting for a while longer, Jiang Cheng left.

Leaving the recycling station, Jiang Cheng headed to the Xinhua Bookstore.

Seeing Jiang Cheng approaching, Manager Guo deliberately sighed and said, "Looks like soone isn’t short of money, haven’t co to pick up translation work in ages."

Jiang Cheng quickly stepped forward, smiling ingratiatingly.

"Short! Always short! If not for landing an R language translation gig, I’d have been here long ago."

Manager Guo let out an "oh," thought for a mont, and asked, "From the food factory?"

"Knew only Manager Guo could guess right every ti!"

Jiang Cheng’s words made Manager Guo chuckle.

"Oh stop it, don’t flatter ."

"If you hadn’t co, I’d have had to find you. I’ve got a pile of translation work waiting for you, take all the tough ones."

Manager Guo wasn’t polite, and Jiang Cheng never feigned modesty.

Having picked up her translation work, Jiang Cheng didn’t leave; she remained at the counter.

Manager Guo looked up.

"Still sothing on your mind? Don’t tell you want to swap three certificates for one again?"

"Last ti I swapped one for three, I said they’d be easy to lose, but you wouldn’t listen to ."

After Manager Guo’s rant, Jiang Cheng took out a D language translation docunt from her backpack.

"This is a D language translation, book mailed by Elder Xu, and he helped with the qualification certificate."

"See if you have ti to review it."

Manager Guo was left speechless.

"Learning another one?"

"Yes, don’t know what it is about languages, feels like they get easier the more you learn."

Manager Guo looked expressionlessly at the "Versailles" Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng laughed cheekily and said, "Alright, alright, no more talking, I’ll be off then, but don’t forget to review it for ."

Manager Guo was rendered speechless, but still said diligently:

"It’ll take a while, I don’t understand D language, need to send it up for review."

"No worries, I’ll wait, once it’s reviewed get a D language translation certificate too."

Seeing Jiang Cheng’s persistence about getting certificates, Manager Guo asked, "What are you doing with all these certificates?"

Jiang Cheng stood upright with a serious look.

"This way, when I go out to handle things, I can use whatever language I want, eavesdrop on so gossip, get so inside information or whatever."

The most crucial thing is that sotis keeping a card up your sleeve is important.

Manager Guo was deafeningly speechless.

Did she really need such a solemn expression to say sothing like this, such a waste of his feelings.

Also, it’s the first ti he’s seen soone learning foreign languages just to eavesdrop on gossip!

In the end, he concluded, "I think you just want to show off."

Jiang Cheng clapped her hands.

"Manager Guo really is my kindred spirit, we share the sa path!"
