Sun Jiandong’s mother looked at He Dan, paused for a few seconds, and asked, "Do you know Jiang Cheng?"

"Can’t really say I know her, we just live nearby. We don’t get along very well."

He Dan showed just the right amount of embarrassnt, looking as if she didn’t want to speak ill of others but still letting the discomfort show.

"Why are you speaking so ambiguously?"

Uncle Wang couldn’t stand it anymore. He frowned and shouted after seeing that, and continued to block the entrance: "No outsiders are allowed to enter the school. If you want to find your son, let this student call him out for you."

In short, they weren’t allowed to enter.

He Dan didn’t care for an old man at the gate and directly pulled a face at Uncle Wang and said, "This is a night school, you have no say here. I can’t take the aunt inside?"

Uncle Wang was amused by anger; he put one hand on his waist and pointed at He Dan with the other.

"This comrade really has so nerve. I’m the gatekeeper, do you even know what that ans? Just because you say you can go in doesn’t an you can. Is this night school your ho?"

The commotion at the entrance was growing, and the students who ca for classes were gradually gathering at the gate without going inside.

Sun Jiandong’s mother frowned, feeling frustrated.

"Comrade, could you help call out Jiang Cheng?"

He Dan’s face looked unpleasant due to Uncle Wang’s words, but upon hearing Sun Jiandong’s mother’s request, she imdiately put on a smile and said, "Alright, I’m going right away! Auntie, don’t be too anxious, Jiang Cheng is just like that."

"Like what?"

Sun Jiandong’s mother asked casually, and He Dan blurted out, "She’s pretty and has a lot of boys around her."

As soon as He Dan said this, Sun Jiandong’s mother didn’t react, but several girls around her were unwilling to let it go.

Jian Yueer was the first to stand up, staring at He Dan with full montum.

"Comrade He Dan, your words are unfounded. Jiang Cheng has never been alone with any male classmates. What are you implying with your ambiguous comnts?"

"What else could it be, just jealous of her looks."

"Comrade He Dan, your behavior is inappropriate."

The last person to stand up was Zhang Cuijuan, who had the temperant of an old cadre.

Zhang Cuijuan said with a disappointed face, "Comrade He Dan, you should understand as a woman how important a woman’s reputation is."

Even though Zhang Cuijuan could dislike Jiang Cheng for being in the spotlight, she could never tarnish another woman’s reputation.

He Dan completely underestimated Jiang Cheng’s standing in the hearts of the female students at night school. Her sar attempt not only failed to guide any opinion but instead drew rebuttal and disgust.

A person who so easily slanders others’ reputations shouldn’t be trusted with deep friendships.

"Mom—why are you here!"

Sun Jiandong arrived; he was behind his mother.

Sun Jiandong stood beside his mother, pushing his bicycle, not comprehending the situation.

"I’m here to find Jiang Cheng."

"How do you know Jiang Cheng? Did you hear sothing from soone?"

Sun Jiandong glared at He Dan, pointing at her angrily, "Did you listen to her! Mom, she never tells the truth, don’t listen to her nonsense!"

Sun Jiandong quickly explained.

He had no interest in Jiang Cheng, and even felt a bit of reverence.

Amid the rebuttals from several classmates, He Dan kept her head down; ever since she had co to the courtyard house and up to this day, the suppressed resentnt towards Jiang Cheng was finally boiling over.

Why?

Jiang Cheng, a country girl who didn’t even finish primary school, why does she always surpass ?

If you all hate , then you should hate Jiang Cheng too.

He Dan suddenly raised her head, her voice sharp.

"Mr. Sun, don’t be fooled by Jiang Cheng’s looks!"

"He Dan, are you crazy? Jiang Cheng didn’t say anything, and you’re out here saring her; you’re just insecure!"

Sun Jiandong’s words further provoked He Dan.

Rather than let Sun Jiandong or Jiang Cheng reveal the Lin Family affair, she might as well take the initiative.

"If Mr. Sun is referring to my marriage with Lin Chengyuan, I have a clear conscience."

He Dan appeared dignified and righteous, looking at the people around her without guilt.

"I t Lin Chengyuan, we got to know each other, fell in love, and got married with many witnesses. We’re legally and morally fine. As for Jiang Cheng, she misunderstood the situation, voluntarily lived in the Lin Family house for three years. What does that have to do with ?"

He Dan self-disclosed.

"What do you an?"

"Jiang Cheng lived in the Lin Family house for three years?"

As discussions began to rise around them, Sun Jiandong was about to rebut when Jian Yueer exclaid loudly:

"Jiang Cheng is here!"

With just the words "Jiang Cheng is here," the students at the gate automatically parted to make a path.

Jiang Cheng walked through with a gentle and powerful presence, not forgetting to thank everyone.

"It’s almost ti for class, let’s not waste any more ti."

As soon as Jiang Cheng spoke, the surroundings quickly quieted, exhibiting an impressive control over the scene.

Jiang Cheng first looked at He Dan, giving her no chance to speak, and said, "Three years ago, I lived with the Lin Family as Lin Chengyuan’s wife, but we never registered or got married, so we indeed have no relationship."

"Living in the Lin Family wasn’t called living; it was working like a horse and cow for three years, plus they took six hundred yuan of my relief money."

"Three years later, after He Dan and Lin Chengyuan got their marriage certificate and ca back, I imdiately left the Lin Family and took my rightful six hundred yuan, legally and reasonably."

"That’s the truth, and everyone’s perception is up to your own will."

After decisively finishing, Jiang Cheng turned to Sun Jiandong’s mother.

"Hello, I’m Jiang Cheng. Is there sothing you needed from ?"

Sun Jiandong’s mother looked at the beautiful and poised young girl in front of her, and her usually serious face tried hard to break into a smile.

"You—hello!"

Sun Jiandong’s mother extended her hand actively, and Jiang Cheng naturally shook it.

"Um—I just wanted to thank you! Thank you for helping my son correct his ways and get on the right path! You don’t know, when I saw him studying and reading, I— I directly slapped his dad in the face; it turned out to be true!!!"

Sun Jiandong: ???

He Dan’s expression cracked: I revealed such a big secret, and you’re here to thank her!

The people around: This is not how we expected things to go.

Uncle Wang: He always said Xiao Jiang was likable.

Jiang Cheng was the calst of all.

"I’ve received your gratitude. Principal Wang often teaches us that students should help each other."

"Class is about to begin. If there’s nothing else, let the students go in for class first."

Sun Jiandong’s mother nodded excitedly, reluctant to take her eyes off Jiang Cheng.

Look at this kid!

How strong is her organizational ability!

What leadership skills!

Her abilities are so strong, and her good looks are just a bonus.

Jiang Cheng waved at the students who were enjoying the spectacle:

"Let’s go to class, the teachers are waiting for us."

The students obediently started walking in, while a few teachers who were watching from upstairs quickly stepped back.

Teachers: Actually, it doesn’t matter if we’re a little late.
