Spy?

Leader Tang absolutely gives it his full attention.

Jiang Cheng never misfires.

Leader Tang first looked at Li Chunxiang and said, "You don’t need to handle anything. If you see Jiang Cheng, just tell her that I know about this matter, and I’m very attentive."

Li Chunxiang had no idea what was written on the note.

Shen Xing went to her house and gave her two notes.

One of them was the one Leader Tang was looking at, and the other was for her.

The one for her read: Continue working as usual, and send a ssage to Public Security Bureau Leader Tang on my behalf. It’s urgent; don’t let anyone notice, and don’t read the ssage I’m sending.

Li Chunxiang mostly obeyed instructions, and Jiang Cheng told her not to look, so she didn’t.

"Alright, I’ll be off now!"

Li Chunxiang’s heartbeat hadn’t cald down yet, and she turned to leave imdiately.

Leader Tang also got into action right away.

He personally made a trip to the textile factory and also sent the person most skilled at tracking to stake out.

At the sa ti, in the courtyard, Jiang Cheng had already signed the subletting agreent.

She just needed to go to the textile factory and street to report and register, complete the final procedures, and she could move in.

Zhu Bin was in a hurry to leave today, so Jiang Cheng accompanied him to the textile factory first.

On the way, Zhu Bin didn’t say a word, but Jiang Cheng was muttering to herself.

Several tis, Jiang Cheng noticed Zhu Bin’s impatient expression.

That expression, and a certain posture when walking, made him look more like a person from R Country.

From the first ti Jiang Cheng saw Zhu Bin, she felt he wasn’t from Hua Xia.

It was an intuition.

This intuition had allowed her to disrupt enemy plots during several diplomatic events, even preventing an assassination.

When she saw the subletting agreent, her intuition turned into evidence-based suspicion.

There was a future internal report that analyzed the evolution of handwriting from R Country in detail.

Zhu Bin completely fit the description.

It was quite a coincidence; she had been here for nearly four months and today was the first ti she saw Zhu Bin.

Jiang Cheng had many thoughts running through her head, but she kept rambling about the most trivial things, which irritated Zhu Bin so much that his eyebrows furrowed deeper.

The textile factory finally arrived.

The textile factory ahead was bustling with festivity.

A large red banner was hung at the entrance: Strive to produce, aim high, create foreign exchange for the nation, catch up with Arica and the Soviet Union.

Jiang Cheng looked: A vague self-praise.

Following behind Zhu Bin, Jiang Cheng raised her eyebrows slightly.

Once inside the textile factory, Zhu Bin seed like a completely different person.

He enthusiastically greeted everyone, which was completely different from his deanor in the courtyard.

As they walked into the textile factory, many people called out to Master Zhu, and Zhu Bin responded with a smile.

The two went to the place to handle employnt and resignation procedures, and the person handling them smiled and welcod Zhu Bin warmly as he walked in.

"Master Zhu, have you got everything ready?"

"All done. I ca to return the house today. I’ve sublet the remaining four months to her; she’s the tenant."

"You’ve saved quite so trouble, thank you, Master Zhu."

After a few complints, the person handling the procedures began helping the two with their paperwork.

Zhu Bin’s house was rented out by the textile factory from the street; it was a welfare perk for Zhu Bin.

Zhu Bin was leaving, so naturally, he had to return the house.

The textile factory had already paid the rent, so Jiang Cheng was essentially renting it from the factory for four months and then from the street for the subsequent months.

In short, transactions with the collective were fine, but individual transactions were not.

After the procedures were completed, Jiang Cheng first paid a month’s rent.

Zhu Bin didn’t stop and wanted to go to the street to continue the procedures, so Jiang Cheng naturally followed along.

As they walked out of the building where the procedures were handled, Zhu Bin ran into an acquaintance.

"Master Zhu, why are you leaving now? Our factory just accepted foreign trade orders!"

"Why are you heading to the northwest at this ti?"

The person speaking felt genuinely that Zhu Bin was leaving at the wrong ti, and Zhu Bin sincerely replied, "The northwest is a cotton planting area; it still needs developnt."

"You’re a person without any selfish motives. I couldn’t do it, but I admire you!"

The person speaking held onto Zhu Bin and kept expressing their reluctance for him to leave.

As a silent background observer, Jiang Cheng heard the word northwest, pushing her suspicion of Zhu Bin to eighty percent.

The northwest was desolate.

But nurous researches had been completed in the northwest.

Finally finished talking, Jiang Cheng followed Zhu Bin to the street to handle the last procedure.

At the sa ti, Leader Tang arrived at the textile factory and went directly to the Factory Director’s office.

Factory Director Fang was in a eting.

An important eting about foreign exchange production.

Leader Tang patiently waited.

"I wonder if Jiang Cheng can wait a little longer—"

"You ntioned Jiang Cheng?"

Secretary Feng interrupted Leader Tang’s monologue and asked again, "Did Jiang Cheng ask you to co?"

Leader Tang looked up, unable to grasp the connection, but he could understand Secretary Feng’s implication.

"Yeah, Jiang Cheng asked to co."

"Please wait."

After finishing, Secretary Feng directly pushed open the conference room door, interrupting Factory Director Fang’s speech with a bang.

Factory Director Fang looked displeased.

"What matter requires speaking at this mont, especially with such an important issue about foreign exchange production? Haven’t I emphasized its importance to you!"

"Director..."

Secretary Feng walked to Factory Director Fang’s side and whispered two words: Jiang Cheng.

"Why didn’t you say so earlier!"

Factory Director Fang suddenly stood up, pushed past Secretary Feng, and rushed outside.

"You all keep talking amongst yourselves for a while!"

Leaving those words behind, Factory Director Fang had already exited the conference room and was searching for Jiang Cheng’s whereabouts.

Secretary Feng followed closely, continuing the unfinished conversation.

"Director, it was Jiang Cheng who asked him to co see you."

Factory Director Fang listened and instructed, "That’s equally important! Anything related to Jiang Cheng is of paramount importance!"

"You did well this ti, keep it up next ti."

Secretary Feng agreed with a smile, ntally elevating Jiang Cheng’s status even further.

"Director, it’s Public Security Bureau Leader Tang."

Secretary Feng pointed in Leader Tang’s direction.

Leader Tang had already walked out, and after a brief conversation with Factory Director Fang, Factory Director Fang’s expression turned much more serious.

"Jiang Cheng isn’t soone who talks nonsense; let’s discuss this in the office."

Secretary Feng, trailing a step behind, followed and closed the door for the two. He stood guard at the entrance.

Inside the office, Factory Director Fang was talking about Zhu Bin.

"It was who invited Zhu Bin at that ti; our machines malfunctioned unexpectedly. I knew the Zhu family’s origins were in textiles and had fallen from grace, leaving only Zhu Bin. I asked around and invited him several tis before he agreed."

"But thinking about it now, the machine’s malfunction was quite unexpected. As soon as it broke, I heard soone ntion Zhu Bin. Once he arrived, he fixed it right away; everything just fell into place."

Leader Tang took notes, but didn’t comnt.

"Where is Zhu Bin going?"

"Northwest! He applied on his own, saying he wanted to contribute to the textile industry."

Leader Tang beca even more attentive and, after asking a few more questions, he said, "Just keep this matter between you and ."

Factory Director Fang nodded.

"Rest assured! Also, please ensure Jiang Cheng is not implicated; a spy is ruthless, and Jiang Cheng’s a young girl who can’t easily protect herself."

Leader Tang heard Factory Director Fang’s concern and assured him with a promise.

However, he also curiously inquired about the reason.

"It’s nothing... Jiang Cheng just helped us secure a foreign exchange export order worth over three hundred thousand!"

Leader Tang: The words ’just’ perfectly embodied Jiang Cheng’s style.
