Capítulo 884: Chapter 37: Aimless

Constantinople, Great Arena.

Although it mysteriously collapsed six years ago, due to the preferences of Constantinople’s citizens and the strong appeals from the betting industry, a new arena was rebuilt on the ruins of the old one.

However, the Storm Empress disliked this aningless mutual slaughter, so she banned gladiatorial combat between humans and instead had gladiators face Extraordinary Creatures, demons, Death Spirits, etc. The result was unexpectedly good.

It seems that the audience preferred watching humans defeat Alien Races instead of humans fighting each other. And when gladiators lost, the crowd would leave cursing and demanding refunds, forcing the arena operators to secretly employ various Hidden restrictions to increase the survival rate of the gladiators.

“If only I could have played like this back then.” Sigrdrifa remarked from the stands.

In the competition area, three gladiators were cornered by Minos’s Minotaur. One of them held a small round shield, hopping around nimbly, drawing the Minotaur’s attention.

The other two rolled stealthily to the back, one slashing the Minotaur’s ankle tendons while on the ground, and the other jumped up high, swiftly stabbing a sword into its thick neck as the Minotaur lost balance.

“What, do you also want to kill a Minotaur?” dea teased.

The audience stood up collectively, throwing various coins onto the field. Little Lilith, struggling in dea’s arms, joined in the lively atmosphere and shouted:

“Long live the human warriors! The Minotaur must die!”

On the battlefield, the Minotaur that was hit in a vital spot still struggled, while the three human gladiators dropped their weapons, pressing the fallen Minotaur to prevent it from picking up the dropped giant axe.

Finally, the Minotaur collapsed and lay motionless in a pool of blood, and the excitent in the arena reached its peak.

“Let’s go, there’s nothing more to see.” Sigrdrifa turned and said.

With their astute eyes, both she and dea could tell that the Minotaur was not in a fighting state at all, its aggressiveness and focus completely scattered, clearly manipulated by the organizers beforehand.

This made Sigrdrifa lant that the battle was never in doubt from the outset, significantly easier than the brutal slaughters of their past… although it was still equally bloodthirsty.

“Mom! I still want to watch, I still want to watch…” Little Lilith tried to plead, but dea ignored her coquettishness and left the Great Arena with Sigrdrifa.

“So, where should we go to find him next?” Sigrdrifa raised her hand, shielding the sunlight above her eyes, looking around and saying, “That scumbag.”

“That scumbag.” dea echoed.

“Daddy is a scumbag.” Little Lilith agreed.

The three stood at the entrance of the Constantinople Arena for a few minutes.

“Constantinople is too large.” dea sighed, “The number of Mind Puppets I have placed here cannot monitor such a vast area.”

“It’s not necessary to monitor the entire city.” Little Lilith said, “Aunt Theodora and Aunt Peggy will definitely hide him away for private use, so we just need to track their movents.”

dea: …

“dea,” Sigrdrifa laughed, “I think your IQ started to decline rapidly after you had Little Lilith. Did she take part of your intelligence away?”

“Nonsense, don’t you know that pregnancy makes you dumb for three years?” dea argued fiercely, glaring at her daughter, “You’re so smart. Then tell , how do we locate those two?”

“Let’s not discuss Aunt Peggy for now; since Aunt Theodora is the Empress, she must spend most of her ti in the Great Palace area, right?” Little Lilith analyzed, “Mom, you must have spies planted in the palace or the Church.”

“The identity and importance of Mind Puppets that can enter the Golden Governance Palace or the Great Cathedral need not be ntioned, so how could they be used for such purposes?” dea began to nitpick.

“Isn’t finding Daddy the most important thing for us right now?” Little Lilith countered.

“dea, I think the child has a point.” Sigrdrifa also said seriously, “You’ve tried his ‘flavor,’ so you’re not in a hurry, but I haven’t yet! If this continues, I’ll beco the oldest virgin in the team.”

“Don’t pay attention to such nonsense!” dea was speechless, “If you’re so concerned about this status, I can find a fair, handso young man in a tavern to help you shed this awkward status, can’t I?”

“What a joke! That way, the Squad Leader would despise !” Sigrdrifa surprisingly wasn’t foolish in this regard, “Why don’t you go find one yourself?”

“Nonsense, I have a fear of n, okay?”

“Your fear of n has long been cured, hasn’t it? Last ti I wore n’s clothing, you didn’t react at all?”

“Idiot, do you think wearing n’s clothing makes you a man?”

The two demigods bickered back and forth until Little Lilith suddenly pointed overhead and shouted:

“Look, soone’s flying in the sky!”

dea and Sigrdrifa quickly looked up and saw Theodora flying past in the air, not seeming very fast.

“Follow her!” The two exchanged a glance and quickly reached an agreent.

“They’re watching a match in the Great Arena! Honestly, are they here to find the Squad Leader or just to tour around? Miel, is your observation really accurate?”

A few minutes ago, standing on the rooftop of an apartnt building in Constantinople, Mia looked at the distant arena and said helplessly.

“I can’t say much about this; you’ll understand when the ti cos.” Miel said with a smile.

Here we go again… Mia felt powerless against her mysterious friend.

Since dea and Sigrdrifa left the ship to search for Aske in Constantinople, the two followed all the way.

According to Miel, there were many possible locations for Aske in future tilines. The best way to find him as quickly as possible was to follow dea and the others.

The result was that they had followed the entire morning, accompanying them to Achilles’s residence (which was empty) and then to the Great Arena to watch the Minotaur-slaying match.

“I think it’s better to infiltrate the Golden Governance Palace; the chances of finding the Squad Leader might be higher.” Mia complained.

“The Orthodox Church has set up a Sealing Array in the Golden Governance Palace to prevent teleportation.” Miel replied.

“Then I’ll use my old skills to sneak through the Shadow Realm.” Mia said.

“But you’ll have to wait until nightfall.” Miel casually said, “Wait, what’s that?”

Following her gaze, Mia saw Theodora with arms spread, flying quickly overhead like a large bird. Her gaze kept scanning the streets below, as if she was searching for sothing.
