Revive Rome: Wait! Why not make the empress fall in love with me first? Chapter 871: 24: Marriage Registration
Chapter 871: Chapter 24: Marriage Registration
Solomon City, Civil Affairs Bureau.
After completing the registration procedures, Nora, smiling, held her husband’s arm as they left the door of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Sorry, Ellie. She silently said in her heart, using such ans to bully you.
But if I didn’t do this, you definitely wouldn’t have returned Aske to .
Aske is probably feeling quite uncomfortable now, isn’t he?
Thinking of this, she tightened her grip on her husband’s arm.
Just now, Aske, who signed his na on the marriage registration form, also had a very complicated mood.
So, in the end, did I really take this step?
From a scumbag to a worthless man, it’s just moving from “very bad” to “not particularly bad,” although there’s no essential difference. At least personal safety is sowhat guaranteed… No, I should say at least I won’t fail any girl.
Nora affectionately leaned against him, arriving at Lysine Building, where they saw three officers from Earth handling the lodging arrangents.
“Surprised?” Nora asked with a smile, “Dear, last ti we left in a hurry and didn’t bring your fellow countryn over. Later, I specially arranged for soone to go to Aachen.”
The three officers from Earth all ca over to greet them, each with a relieved smile, clearly very pleased to connect with the Church Court.
Upon learning that the two had already gone to the Civil Affairs Bureau for registration, the three officers quickly congratulated them, looking at Aske with a peculiar gaze.
It was a look that contained sothing like “Wow, you really managed it,” “You truly are amazing,” mixed with admiration, joy, and a well-concealed hint of awkwardness.
Being caught on the spot for bigamy, Aske was almost so embarrassed that he wanted to disappear.
Nora remained composed and natural. As a Mind Mage, she could naturally sense the complex psychology of these three, but it didn’t matter… how could a demigod bother with the thoughts of mortals?
After a few polite exchanges, the officers planned to go upstairs to arrange their accommodations and then head to the Ratlan Palace to et with the Church Court.
Aske, anwhile, went back to the room with Nora to enjoy themselves.
Elsewhere, three demigods had arrived in Verona City in northern Italy.
During the last Divine Luo expedition to the Church Court, Verona City was flattened, but given its pri location, in just six or seven short years, a new city was built again.
Then there was the Anti-Demon Magnetic Field.
Not quite inside Verona City yet, the three won felt the suppression of the Anti-Demon Magnetic Field.
Eleanor and Sigrdrifa, with their strong physiques, could handle it, but dea felt physical discomfort. Going further, the Spirituality cost of casting skills would increase, severely limiting the demigods’ power.
Indeed, they could bypass Verona City, but the deeper they got closer to Solomon City, the denser and wider the layout of the Anti-Demon Magnetic Field. If they brought the Empire Knight Order and the Northern Horn troops, they could charge through, but just the three demigods alone absolutely couldn’t move forward recklessly.
So Eleanor rushed to a nearby spot in Verona City, found a Synthetic Human security guard patrolling the roadside, and shook its shoulder:
“Raphael! I know you’re watching! Connect to Nora, I want to talk to her!”
The Synthetic Human was silently shaken for about five or six minutes before it seed to connect to a special communication channel, and Nora’s voice ca through:
“…Ellie? You’re later than I expected.”
“Where’s Aske?” Eleanor shouted, “Where have you hidden my husband?”
“Don’t worry, he’s fine.” Nora seed to think she sounded a bit like a kidnapper talking to a family mber, so she corrected herself, “He’s not your husband. Your wedding ceremony is incomplete, not recognized by God, it doesn’t count.”
“Then can I co to find the father of my child?” dea interjected coldly, “Or without God’s genetic identification, you don’t recognize his fatherhood either?”
Nora: ……..
“Aunt Nora!” Little Lilith, who was being held by dea, suddenly called out.
“Ah, this…” Nora’s originally cold deanor imdiately softened.
As a Holy Daughter, she genuinely liked children. Before Aske returned, she often went to play with the kids in the choir, making cookies and candies for them.
Now hearing Little Lilith’s sweet calling, Nora was instantly defenseless, her maternal instincts stirring.
“Can you let talk to Daddy?” Little Lilith asked at just the right ti.
“Alright…” Nora couldn’t refuse a child’s reasonable request.
In the apartnt at Lysine Building, Aske was sleeping in bed. Nora hurriedly ca out of the bathroom, handed the phone to Aske, and gave him a nudge to wake him.
“Hmm?” Aske sat up.
“A call from your daughter,” Nora stated concisely.
“Daughter?” Aske didn’t imdiately understand, until he heard Little Lilith’s lively voice on the phone: “Daddy!”
Aske: !!!
Could it be the daughter I had with dea?
He quickly took the phone, only to hear Little Lilith continue:
“Daddy, stay strong, don’t let Aunt Nora hurt you. Mommy, Aunt Eleanor, and Aunt Sigrdrifa will co to save you, okay?”
“What the heck!” Nora, overhearing, imdiately got angry, “dea, what are you teaching the child! How could I harm the Squad Leader? He’s having the best food and drink here, carefree, and we’re even having fun every night!”
“Nora!” Eleanor, on the other end, was so furious that her voice trembled, clearly about to end her friendship with Nora.
“Ahem!” Nora knew she misspoke, hurriedly changing the subject, “Anyway, co quickly, maybe you could still make it to our wedding!”
She abruptly hung up the phone, her chest heaving with anger, and then saw Aske staring at her in disbelief.
“Why did you hang up the phone!” Aske was also sowhat speechless, “I didn’t even get to say anything!”
“What was there to say? I said it all for you!” Nora argued unreasonably.
“I haven’t seen my daughter for six years. At least let say sothing to her!” Aske argued with her.
“So just because you and dea have a daughter, and I don’t, you don’t like anymore?” Nora started to throw a tantrum, pretending to hit his chest, but was caught by Aske.
As they bickered, they gradually ended up tangling up together.
Over on the Verona City side, everyone was infuriated.
Eleanor was angry because her husband was taken, dea because her rival was trying to swoop in and have a child, undermining her daughter’s advantage, and Sigrdrifa was simply in her usual rage, wanting to smash sothing to vent.
So the three decided to rush to Solomon City imdiately, crash Nora’s wedding, and snatch the Squad Leader back—how to divide him afterward could be sorted later.
Charge, charge, charge!
Eleanor transford into a streak of light and shot up into the sky, Sigrdrifa summoned two Thunderbirds, and dea each took one, about to fly into the air, when suddenly they saw Eleanor descending again.
“Sorry, I need to take a call.” Eleanor gestured, pulling out her phone to answer it.
“…Huh, what? Really? Okay, okay, need to go for a check-up? I’m currently in northern Italy… okay, fine, I’ll have it checked here then, uh-huh…”
She hung up the phone, and the anger on her face was gone, replaced by a complex expression:
“Um, I might have to leave for a bit.”
“What for?” Sigrdrifa asked impatiently.
“Did an exam in Aachen and just got the results.” Eleanor said, “I’m pregnant.”
