Chapter 781: Chapter 151 Obscenity

Seeing the Blood Clan girl single-handedly halt the Ghoul Legion’s charge, the Golden Sparrow rcenaries stood almost dumbstruck, utterly unable to believe their eyes.

Half a minute later, everyone quickly ca back to their senses and cheered with soaring morale.

Another high-level Transcendent!

Whatever power she was using, it was clear she was formidable against the Undead, and that was reason enough for praise.

“The Highland Swordsn charge!” Aske suddenly ordered.

So McGree, who had been waiting eagerly, led the other Highland Swordsn charging forward like tigers descending from the mountains, hacking all the Ghouls that were entangled by Peggy into chunks of flesh.

“Open taunt!” Aske commanded again.

As they slashed and killed, the Highland Swordsn began to laugh uproariously:

“Ha ha, these Undead are much easier to deal with than the last batch!”

“Could these be wild Undead without a commander?”

“They seem to be. And even if there was a commander, their strategic level wouldn’t appear to be up to par.”

“Maybe it’s a novice Undead Wizard fresh out of school?”

“Graduated? I doubt it, more like they haven’t graduated yet, probably a Scout Undead Wizard who snuck out of school.”

Each man taking turns to jeer, they quickly downgraded the opposing commander’s actual age from having graduated, to not yet having graduated, to not even being enrolled in school, and finally ludicrously suggesting they were still in the womb, directing the Undead Army through fetal movents and cries…

The opposing Ghoul Legion still advanced with composure, as if their commander was completely unaffected by the mockery. However, Aske could clearly sense from the rear that so form of anger provoked by the taunting was slowly gathering.

Even more so, when the resentnt had accumulated to a certain extent, Aske faintly perceived the opponent’s position—not only that, the other side also sensed his location, and involuntarily began to feel a growing urge to kill and attack him.

This was the rudintary form of the Law Skill “Taunt.” “Taunt” could forcibly make both parties aware of each other’s location, and as ti passed, the target’s tendency to attack oneself would intensify.

Thus, under the effect of the Taunt Skill, no matter how well the Undead Commander concealed himself, he would gradually beco transparent in Aske’s perception until the enemy could no longer bear it and burst out from their hiding spot.

It could be said to be quite a contemptible ability. Without similar Mind System powers, or the Will System’s immunity to control abilities, there was nearly no way to escape the effect of this Taunt Skill.

The Lobster Riflen had already finished loading their ammunition but did not shoot at the Ghouls. Instead, they awaited Aske’s command in unison.

Aske then conjured a sniper rifle from thin air, casually aid in the direction of the Killing Intent, guiding the Lobster Riflen to also aim that way, and then he pulled the trigger.

A gunshot rang out, and the pile of skeleton remains disguised in the hillside environnt shattered explosively. A Corpse Witch clutching a Magic Wand frantically scrambled out from the debris. The next second, a volley from the Lobster Riflen tore her into a perforated wreck.

With the Undead Commander’s fall, the once agile Ghoul swarm imdiately began to fight in a disorganized and scattered manner against the Highland Swordsn.

The n quickly disposed of these leaderless Undead, and then it was ti for harvesting Spiritual Materials. Eric, holding a notebook, personally accounted for all the collected Spiritual Materials, converting the total into market value, and then prepaying Aske his corresponding share.

Although the team’s funds were continuously draining away, Spiritual Material kept flowing into the warehouse, and it was the low-risk kind at that. Therefore, at this mont, the Golden Sparrow rcenary Group could be said to be experiencing pain and pleasure simultaneously.

With the passing of an entire day, everyone had finally leveled the nearby three Undead Armies. If they were to continue fighting tomorrow, they would have to venture far from the Central Mountains into the highland hinterlands occupied by the undead.

Thus, they walked back towards Segovia City, brimming with pride and carrying their spoils of war, but at a leisurely pace.

When passing the valley fortress, the Golden Sparrow rcenaries suddenly saw that a large number of obstacles and walls had been erected on the fortress’s outskirts, completely blocking the road to Segovia City.

About six or seven warriors were patrolling behind the walls. They didn’t look like the kingdom soldiers from the fortress but rather rcenaries similar to them.

rcenaries from another large rcenary Group.

“Damn it, it’s those bastards from Free Wind!” McGree cursed loudly as he recognized their attire.

Free Wind, a well-known rcenary group from the West Frank Kingdom. As West Francia and Brittania Island were separated by the sea, and frequent territorial disputes and frictions occurred between the two countries, the relationship between Golden Sparrow and Free Wind was not very good.

Apart from the conflicts of interests among fellow rcenaries, Free Wind looked down on the subjugated Golden Sparrow, considering them to be Anjou’s well-trained lapdogs, while Golden Sparrow thought that the Free Wind was nothing but a bunch of crude French peasants. The mutual disdain had been going on for a long ti.

“Hey, isn’t that little crayfish Eric?” a voice called out from behind the wall, sneering at Eric on the opposite side, “What brings you royal mutts to the Iberian Peninsula? Has the Anjou Royal Family’s regular army been wiped out?”

“We had no choice,” Eric retorted with a sneer, “We certainly couldn’t leave the safety of Aragon in the hands of a bunch of peasants. Did you bring your pitchforks? Do you have enough pot lids to serve as shields? We can supply so if you fall short.”

“We’d rather not take your pot lids. Their odor of old fish and potatoes is so pungent our warriors might vomit on the spot. But they’d probably make a nice Brittanic specialty dish to fumigate those undead spirits.”

“Ha! We’re a bit slow in cooking, I’m afraid we won’t finish before you surrender! By the way, did you bring your white flags? Don’t find yourself stripping your underwear to sew one on the spot.”

The two squad leaders taunted each other rcilessly with all sorts of sarcastic and mocking remarks while their subordinates angrily cursed at their counterparts, showing contempt, issuing threats, and so even drawing their weapons, ready to start a fight, creating an incredibly chaotic scene.

Aske, standing on the edge of the formation with Peggy, had no intention of joining in the rcenaries’ verbal brawl… What a joke, we are from The Azure Longsword rcenary Corps, why would we stoop to the level of these coarse rcenaries?

However, their disinterest in starting trouble with the other side didn’t an that the other side wouldn’t co looking for trouble with them. Soon, the Free Wind rcenaries behind the walls noticed the two standing on their side, especially the slender, lovely Blood Clan girl with her pale, delicate skin, dark, dense long hair. She was like a beacon, captivating anyone who looked at her.

“Oh, why did you even bring a camp prostitute…” As various crude and obscene remarks erged, Peggy’s face darkened with anger, ready to transform into a pool of tainted blood and pounce forward, draining the life force from all those Free Wind rcenaries.

Luckily, Aske managed to hold her back just in ti, thus preventing a grisly massacre.

“Don’t be rash,” he said coolly.

“Hmm,” Peggy nodded, still visibly upset, then plugged her ears with her fingers and stuck out her tongue disapprovingly at the Free Wind rcenaries.

Losers, losers, losers, she thought, not worth my ti to bother with you.

Seeing her express such a girlish attitude, the Free Wind rcenaries gradually ran out of things to say, their expressions sowhat embarrassed.

Under normal circumstances, they would have had thicker skins, capable of spewing even more offensive flirtations. However, they were in the midst of a verbal fight with the Golden Sparrow rcenaries, and suddenly shifting their attention to such a cute girl would likely make their opponents think they were only tough against the weak but afraid of the strong.

The Golden Sparrow rcenaries caught on quickly and began to taunt that the other side was full of cowards who only dared to direct their attacks at won, “Perhaps you should let a woman take the place as your leader, or maybe a dwarf would do, since all you have are incapable cowards, right?”

The Free Wind rcenaries instantly flew into a rage. A few, unable to restrain themselves, were ready to unleash the City Defense Crossbows on the walls to land a heavy blow on their adversaries, but fortunately, their comrades stopped them just in ti.
