Chapter 628: Chapter 7 Arrangents Made Clear

She was a person bent on revenge.

She was a Sicilian noble by birth, an orphan of the Xinkuimani family.

After years of exile overseas, she finally returned in darkness.

She would unite the island’s underground guerrilla squads and beco the true Sicilian Black Hand, the hidden emperor of the entire island.

She was Mia Xinkuimani, about to unleash her revenge on the Outville family.

This day, she was riding on Aske’s neck, demanding that he teach her the secret to learning extraordinary swordsmanship overnight.

“I really don’t know how to learn that,” Aske said helplessly.

“I don’t believe you!” Little Mia grabbed his hair and said bullishly, “Squad Leader, you are omnipotent! The problem isn’t whether I can learn it, it’s whether you are willing to teach. If you teach and I don’t learn, it’s definitely because you intentionally didn’t teach properly!”

“Where did you hear that kind of thuggish reasoning?” Aske carried her around in a circle before putting her down beside a tree stump.

“This isn’t thuggish reasoning,” little Mia said seriously, sitting on the stump, “Thira learned the Star Nine Forms, Peggy learned the Undead Illusion Sword, Eleanor learned the Unyielding Holy Sword, weren’t they all taught by you? So why is it when it cos to learning the Ripple Sword, suddenly you ‘don’t know anything’? Are you just brushing off because I, Mia, am too young and you can’t bear to be stern with ?”

“Pff!” Aske couldn’t help but burst out laughing. What does she an too young to be harsh? What on earth is going on in that little head of yours!

Of course, it’s not to say Mia lacked the qualities that would make soone want to be strict with her. Like Nora, she had soft, fluffy chestnut hair, skin that was slightly dark but not black, rather a vibrant, healthy wheat color. Thanks to ample exercise, her body was well-proportioned and showing signs of budding developnt, and her petite and cute face could be described as the bane of any lolicon.

Of course, I, Aske, am not a lolicon, so I’m definitely not interested in anything to do with kindergartens.

But he truly did not know the Ripple Sword! Although he had a slight knowledge of techniques for the Undead Illusion Sword and the Unyielding Holy Sword, the Ripple Sword was an entirely unknown domain for him.

However, Aske was, after all, a forr squad leader and was well-versed in various Topic Shifting Techniques. He promptly put on a mysterious expression and smiled:

“Mia, do you know about the ‘Xinkuimani family’?”

Hearing that familiar na, Mia was montarily lost in thought and hesitated:

“You an… my…”

Of course, she truly rembered the ntion of the “Xinkuimani family” from a letter written by the Thief Guild Master. Not only that, but sotis in the dead of night, when she was alone, she would fantasize about how warm the picture would be if her parents were with her, wouldn’t it?

However, upon second thought, if her original life had been happy and complete, she might not have t Aske and the others today. Thinking like this made little Mia feel much better.

“Yes, the family you were born into, the bloodline you belong to, Mia,” Aske said earnestly.

My bloodline? Little Mia stared at him blankly.

Seeing that the Attention Shifting Technique was a complete success, Aske took the opportunity to say:

“Miel and dea are investigating your family; it seems like they have made so progress…” His tone was heavy with implication as if Miel and dea had already co to so conclusion.

“Of course, if there actually is no result, when Mia cos back to pester him, he can simply say, ‘I did only ntion ‘seems,’ and I wasn’t certain myself.'”

“Or you could go ask?”

Upon hearing this, little Mia indeed fell for it and quickly left Fire Island to find Miel, who was responsible for the Ancient Book that day.

At this mont, Miel was hunched over the desk in a hotel room, writing sothing rapidly.

Over the past week, with the help of Derek and Sherry, the integration of the Sicily guerrilla squads had advanced at lightning speed. The combination of two Demigods in terms of combat power was enough to crush the opposition. Then Miel could use the Eden Fruit to plant hidden manipulation backdoors in the Mind Bodies of all the guerrilla mbers.

Of course, using the Eden Fruit for manipulation was far less convenient than a legitimate wielder of the Manipulation Law. Even Rasul, the previous Lord of the Eden Fruit, only implanted a backdoor, inputting a “mind program” that made the subjects act according to the coded instructions… It was incredibly chanical and rigid.

However, dea’s abilities far exceeded his. By sharing the mind backdoor privileges with Miel, she could accomplish secretive remote manipulations in real-ti, skillfully guiding the thoughts, speech, and actions of nurous targets—without anyone being aware.

She was essentially an advanced version of a Mind Mage.

Miel was not sure how many supportive skills of the Manipulation Law it would take to achieve such a level, but she was certain that dea had definitely surpassed Lv.11 by now.

Yet, on all observable parallel tilines, every dea was tight-lipped towards Miel, not revealing any information about her Level or abilities, indicating that the Enchanting Demon was still keeping so cards close to her chest. Nevertheless, the limited cooperation between the two had already brought all of Sicily’s dozen or so guerrilla squads under control.

Miel even had a subtle premonition that if they continued to deepen their cooperation, they might just end up playing the entire world for a fool.

Manipulation Fate was just too invincible. No wonder Rasul designated her as the Heir and arranged for her to form an alliance with dea… He had probably foreseen this outco a long ti ago.

“Miel, what are you writing?” Mia curiously leaned over.

“Oh, I’m calculating supplies,” Miel candidly passed her notebook over, “Want to take a look?”

“Forget it.” Mia glanced at the dense text and numbers and imdiately lost interest.

Her reaction, of course, was within Miel’s expectations.

Controlling dozens of Sicilian guerrilla squads behind the scenes certainly wasn’t as simple as clicking a mouse in an RTS ga. It involved finances, logistics, supplies, and combat training, to na a few.

Even if everyone was under control and rebellion was unlikely, maintaining the operation of the squads was far from easy… Miel finally understood why Aske had said “there’s no need for a team to be too large.”

As the number of people increased, so did the complexity of the managent tasks, and the pile of miscellaneous duties could almost crush a person.

Fortunately, Derek had promised to transfer a batch of Corpse Witches with the relevant experience from Carthage to take over the continued operation of the underground guerrilla squads on Sicily. Until then, dea and Miel had to hold the fort.

“Aske said that you, uh…” Rembering the actual matter at hand, Mia lost her lively manner and showed a rare hint of hesitation, “found the Sinquemani family, right?”

“Yes,” Miel nodded her head. After all, she, who could peep into the future to so extent, had already clearly arranged everything for her best friend, “They said they will arrive soon.”

“Soon?” Mia was surprised, “Here?”

“That’s right,” Miel said seriously, “Approximately half an hour from now, the people from the Sinquemani family will co to et you.”

“To welco the family’s young miss and the sole Heir, which is you, Mia.”
