58: Chapter 48 dea’s New Ability 58: Chapter 48 dea’s New Ability “I choose the Titan path,” Sigrdrifa said without hesitation.

“I thought you would choose ‘Barbarian,'” Aske said in surprise, “since it’s the sa as your arena nickna.”

“I chose ‘Barbarian’ as a nickna because it sounds powerful,” Sigrdrifa explained, “but isn’t ‘Titan’ obviously more powerful?”

You choose a bloodline based on which is more powerful?

Aske frowned.

Hmm, doesn’t seem wrong???

“The first Magic Potion Recipe for Titan is Strong X,” he decided not to dwell on these details and continued, “It can increase your muscle Explosive Power and Endurance, just keep that in mind.”

“Alright, got it,” Nora responded.

“Where did you pop up from?” Aske turned around and saw Nora standing behind him, holding a notebook and apparently writing sothing.

“I’ve been here all along,” Nora said.

“Since the basic course ended, you haven’t given any training tasks.”

Aske paused for a mont and realized it was indeed the case.

A week ago, he had finished teaching the key points of basic offensive, defensive, and Evasion techniques, then left everyone to practice or spar on their own.

After the basic course, the training was tailored individually.

For instance, Peggy used a sword, Eleanor used a gun shield, Sigrdrifa a Battle Axe, Mia a Dagger, and Miel Firearms, each weapon having different moves and thods of usage; he taught them accordingly.

After all, his previous life’s Bloodline was that of a Weapon Master; he could handle almost any weapon.

Only Nora and dea, who were not combat professions, had nothing to do after the basic course.

dea was lethargic by nature and had long gone sowhere to slack off.

Nora had nothing to do and wandered around, occasionally healing teammates injured during training, spending the rest of her ti bored.

“How is everyone’s progress with digesting their Magic Potions?” Aske asked.

“Let check,” Nora said as she flipped to the first few pages of her notebook and cleared her throat:

“Eleanor, level 1, Magic Potion fully digested; next is ‘Perfect Physique X,’ recipe available, needs material gathering.”

“, level 1, almost fully digested; next is ‘Spirit Body I,’ recipe available, also needs material gathering.”

“Miel, level 0…” Nora raised her head in confusion and asked, “Didn’t you choose a bloodline path for her?”

“I did,” Aske replied.

“She chose ‘Destiny Shooter,’ a shooting-oriented Bloodline emphasizing ‘Luck’ and ‘Intuition,’ and the first Magic Potion Recipe is ‘Agility X.’ Continue.”

“OK,” Nora quickly added this entry.

“Next is Mia, level 2, Magic Potion nearly fully digested, at least that’s what she says.

As for her Bloodline path…”

“Shadow Dancer,” Aske said.

“If it was just taking ‘Agility X’ or ‘Shadow I,’ there would be many agility-based Bloodlines to choose from.”

“However, she has already taken two doses of Magic Potions, clearly, the Thief Guild has already laid the foundation for her; we just need to guide her in this direction.”

“I see,” Nora nodded and continued with the records.

“Peggy, level 2, recently took Life Stealing I, not much of the Magic Potion digested yet.”

“Sigrdrifa, level 0, we need to find the ‘Strong X’ recipe.”

“dea, level 2,” Nora paused for a second and then said, “Oh right, she seems to have gathered the new recipe’s materials already.”

“Oh,” Aske also seed surprised, “that Blood…

she found it?”

“Yes,” Nora said sowhat bashfully, her cheeks turning red, “She should be mixing the Magic Potion on the third floor of the Real Plane now.”

“Let’s go take a look,” Aske said.

The two returned to the real world and went up to the third floor, where they saw dea excitedly holding a mortar, vigorously pounding a thick-scaled copper that looked like a garlic clove.

In a porcelain bowl on the table beside her, there was a thin layer of dark red blood.

“Hehe,” Aske laughed, “dea, where did you get this blood…”

Then he saw Mia crouched in the corner, holding her abdon with both hands, and couldn’t help but fall into an embarrassed silence.

“My stomach hurts so bad,” Mia whimpered with tearful eyes, “am I losing control?

Am I going to die?”

“Maybe you just need to drink so brown sugar water,” Aske said slowly.

“No, that’s just a placebo effect,” Nora sighed, taking painkillers from her backpack, “Take so ibuprofen.”

She fed Mia the dicine and placed her right hand on her abdon, activated Healing Touch, and finally eased the nearly spasmodic expression on Mia’s face.

Aske looked out the window, feeling a bit lancholy.

After all, it was an otherworld, where many strange things that wouldn’t appear in ga worlds actually existed…

dea had almost pulverized the thick-scaled copper into debris, emitting a sll sowhat like hydrogen sulfide.

She poured 10 milliliters of dical alcohol into a beaker, gently shook the bottom of the beaker to mix it, and saw a faint red color erging in the alcohol.

She set up a tripod, fitted a funnel for filtration, filtered out all the liquid from the beaker, then poured the blood from a porcelain bowl into it, stirred it, and finally poured it over the Elephant Clam of Basnia Bay.

The mont the red liquid touched the clam flesh, it quickly seeped in without leaving a drop, and soon began to emit an enticing aroma.

dea swallowed, then her expression turned resolute, and she chewed and swallowed it in a few bites.

Suddenly, flas burst forth from her body, engulfing her entirely.

Within the flas, dea looked up, her body slowly levitating from the ground, her unchecked mind shaking the surroundings with intense pain, agitation, and frenzy, nearly knocking Nora and Mia unconscious.

Still, Aske reacted quickly, instantly sending the two to Fire Island.

The control loss lasted only six to seven minutes, but for dea, it felt like a century.

At last, she managed to contain her dispersed Spirituality and fell to the floor, raising an arm with difficulty and said:

“Level 3 now…

quick, heal …”

So, Aske let Nora back out, who then rapidly treated dea, allowing the redhead’s damaged Spirituality to recover.

“How do you feel?” asked Aske, sitting on the windowsill of the study, casually, “Does the new ability et your expectations?”

“Not bad,” dea said weakly, sitting up and tossing her disheveled hair back.

Seeing Nora pull out her shorthand pen and notebook, she chuckled and said:

“I’ve ntioned before that the Mind Body, as a symbol of self, consists of the id, super-ego, and ego.

My new ability corresponds to the id’s symbolic manifestation, which is the dominance factor of the body over the spirit in the physical body.”

“It allows to sense latent impulses in nearby mind bodies, mainly ssy thoughts within the body,” she turned to Nora, who was quickly taking notes, “For example, I can sense right now: my dear, you’re sowhat thirsty, but your thirst for hidden knowledge is suppressing your dry throat.”

“Hey, really,” Nora was reminded and miraculously felt it, admitting, “Indeed, since getting up this morning, I haven’t had any water.”

“Can you tell what thoughts my body has?” Aske asked lightly.

“Hmm…” dea pondered for a mont, “There are many thoughts in you, but all very subtle…

it’s because your super-ego is too dominant, suppressing all the trivial thoughts.

Currently, the most obvious is…”

“Tiredness,” she confird with a nod, “Your body is very tired and wishes you could stop thinking and have a good sleep.”

“There’s too much to be done right now, it’s not ti to rest,” Aske shook his head and continued, “Besides perception, does your new ability have any other effects?”

“I can slightly grasp the latent consciousness of surrounding mind bodies, thereby subtly influencing them,” dea answered, asking Nora, “Would you mind demonstrating on you?”

“Not at all, go ahead,” Nora said excitedly.

On one hand, she wasn’t worried about dea hurting her, especially with Aske also present; on the other hand, she wanted to personally experience and understand dea’s new ability.

“Amplify,” dea whispered.

“Ah?

Heyheyhey!” Nora imdiately showed a panicked expression, instinctively reaching to scratch her back, incredulously asking, “What’s happening?

Why did my back suddenly start itching?”

“I sensed the impulse in your body.

There was a slight itch on your back, and you had the urge to scratch it, but your consciousness hadn’t noticed it,” dea explained, “I amplified this thought, which caused you to imdiately reach back to relieve the itch.”

“So, any thoughts originating from bodily instincts, you can manipulate them, right?” Aske asked.

“Yes,” dea stated, “For example, if an enemy is hurt and feels pain, having the impulse to flee.

I can amplify this urge, forcing him to turn and run.”

“However, amplification has its limits; the enemy might realize I am manipulating his thoughts and use willpower to suppress and endure, which would render powerless.”

“It’s more suited as a support ability,” Aske nodded, “First, research how to combine it with your ‘Mind I’ ability for use, trying to strengthen your control over enemies on the battlefield.”

“If there’s anything unclear, or if you have new ideas to try out, feel free to co to , and I’ll also provide so professional advice.”
