Silverheart Dwarves had strong hearts and bodies. They were not the fastest but their resilience was said to be top-notch.
Unfortunately, having high physical strength and being good at defending was not exactly helpful if their opponent could still pierce through the defenses.
The Arcane Kunai was a Lesser Relic with a razor-sharp blade that had been forged in the maw of a dying drake using the Essence of a Blackleara Swordfish. It was sharp enough to cut through tal, yet Liam had further honed the blade with the Xaltalite Whetsone, a unique sharpening tool that provided the sharpened blade an additional temporary effect as long as the honing process was done properly.
Liam had sharpened the Arcane Kunai perfectly, providing it with the strongest enhancent effect. That was sothing the Silverheart Dwarves witnessed firsthand. The Arcane Kunai's tip pierced through the thick heavy armor and inflicted severe injuries upon the Dwarves before it was retracted.
The complete attack didn't even take a full second but the Dwarf was already bleeding like an impaled pig. It was only a matter of ti before Dwarves that had been attacked and injured would bleed to death. Their high resilience allowed them to keep fighting and survive much longer than Liam expected, but the Halfling was still unfazed.
He was in the midst of the Silverheart Dwarves, moving through the mass of tiny, yet bulky Dwarves with terrific agility. His hands had turned into claws and the Arcane Power that was naturally circulated through them thanks to the Blanchal Silk Gloves, along with their sharpness and endurance was enhanced considerably.
This made it much easier to smash one crossbow after another while ensuring that no crossbow bolt would suddenly find its way into his back. That was sothing Liam would love to avoid, if possible.
He saw that more than half of the Dwarves had already unsheathed their war axes and broadswords but they would have to wait a mont until he finished destroying the crossbows, which so Dwarves were still holding in their thick hands.
The Silverheart Dwarves were having a hard ti attacking him with their heavy weapons and slow movents because their attacks were more likely to end up in the heads of their brethren than inflicting a single scratch on Liam.
That was also why so Silverheart Dwarves began to lunge at Liam with their short arms when he appeared in front of them,
The Dwarves were trying to obstruct his movents and encircle him, leaving him no path of escape.
However, what the Dwarves missed out on noticing was that Liam intentionally entered their group. He didn't blindly attack them. That would have been a little stupid.
Liam had a perfect and rather cheap way to get rid of the Silverheart Dwarves. They walked with their chests pushed out while donning their beautifully gleaming heavy armor sets and wielding the heavy weapons with the sa pride. That was truly sothing they could be proud of. Liam would certainly feel happy for them as well.
Unfortunately, he was not on their side of the battlefield and he was currently engaged in a life-and-death battle. Their death had been destined the mont they dared to attack Jennie. She was his golden goose and he wouldn't allow her to die like that.
Thus, he retrieved two small vials from his Storage Rune. The two vials were Small Lightning Vials that had cost him a total of 10 Arcanium.
The Small Lightning Vials were the sa as the ones he had used to get rid of the Mutant Elite Shedim and the Shedim Canines. Of course, Rex had helped him at that ti, but that was not necessary right now.
The Dwarves' weapons and heavy armor sets were more than enough to pull the electricity currents toward them.
He injected so Arcane Power into the Small Lightning Vials and threw them in the most-crowded areas while he retracted the Arcane Kunai once again.
Next, he retrieved the Livral Orb in an instant and transferred so Arcane Power from the Livral Orb into the Arcane Kunai to fill it to the brim before he returned the Livral Orb back inside the Storage Rune.
At the sa ti, he evaded four heavy cleaves that targeted him simultaneously.
Without his Devil's Eyes and the ability to predict every attack, he would have failed miserably. However, because the trajectory of every attack was unveiled to his bare eyes, Liam could easily evade them.
He simply ducked and used the granted opportunity to jump on the shaft of a heavy war-axe before he pushed his feet from the shaft with all his might.
Liam jumped across the Dwarf and escaped the encirclent just before the two purple bolts of lightning were unleashed from within the Small Lightning Vials that shattered.
Liam witnessed a small lightning storm unleash in front of him. Screams filled with unbearable pain resounded while the sll of burned flesh reached his nostrils.
The pained screams were getting louder as the purple bolts of lightning zapped through the large group of close to 50 Silverheart Dwarves. Not a single Dwarf was spared by the bolts of lightning that were wreaking havoc.
When the lightning bolts dispersed after a whole minute, the ground was charred while small plants and shrubs caught fire. The Silverheart Dwarves had either collapsed and were lying on the ground, or they were using their heavy weapons as a support to remain on their two feet.
None of them was unscathed. Every Dwarf had new burn marks on their faces and their bodies. Purple sparks zapped every now and then along the surface of their heavy armor even now.
Liam saw this and he smiled lightly.
"That's what you get for attacking ," He mumbled throwing out the Arcane Kunai once again.
"Death!"
His claws were unsheathed and he began to attack the injured and unmoving Dwarves that could barely twitch in response. There was no reason for him not to attack.
Jennie hadn't been ard and prepared for a battle when the crossbow bolt was about to blow her head apart.
But even without the incident with Jennie, Liam would have killed them.
That was just the way he handled things.
It's either killing or getting killed!
