To think she got a gift. She started unboxing imdiately.
She opened the box and once she saw what was inside, her face paled.
Katherine’s hands were shaking when she saw the fabric in the box. It was a cloth, more like a dress—a familiar dress—and it was drenched in red liquid, like blood.
"Ahh!!" She scread, gaining Nathan’s attention.
He’d not been interested in her gift earlier but quickly rushed to her side to see what it was, and when he did, he frowned deeply.
"Nathan. There’s blood. Sothing sent this to scare ," she cried, wrapping her arms around him instantly for protection.
anwhile, Nathan’s eyebrows were furrowed in confusion.
A familiar dress he believed he’d seen sowhere but couldn’t put a finger on where he’d seen it was drenched in red liquid. The liquid could be blood but the chances are rare.
He imdiately called for the servant.
"Who gave you this?" He questioned.
The servant’s head was lowered when she replied. "It was given to by a mailman."
"What did he look like?" He demanded.
She gave him a quick description of the appearance of the mailman who looked like every other mailman but that wasn’t certain, now with the content that was lying in the box.
Nathan imdiately called for security and gave them an imdiate instruction to always check packages before handing them to his wife.
Katherine was shaking like a leaf. Her face had already gone so pale that one would think she’d seen a ghost.
She rembered that dress. The sa dress that Eva was wearing on the day she’d gotten rid of her.
There had been no notes to identify who could have sent the package but Katherine’s mind only went to one person.
Alisha.
She’d thought that Alisha was only bluffing about what she knew just to get a reaction. But she didn’t think that Alisha had any evidence. .
Katherine thought that now that she was signed to another entertainnt company, she would have less encounters and threats with Alisha. But she was so wrong.
From the looks of things, Nathan didn’t recognize the dress so she was safe from questioning.
"I’ve seen that dress sowhere before," he suddenly said, making her feel pale even more. "I’m sure I’ve seen that dress before. Do you rember anyone who’d worn it?"
She imdiately shook her head. She couldn’t have Nathan recalling the person who’d worn that dress.
It was a good thing Eva didn’t stay long at the restaurant when she’d caught him cheating on her. And because of the heated argunt, he probably didn’t take notice of what she’d been wearing.
Nathan sighed, feeling defeated as he couldn’t rember where he’d seen it or the person he’d seen wearing that sa dress.
"You need to rest. I’ll get rid of this. You don’t need to worry about this. I’ll find the mailman and have him confess who gave him this package," he said in a way to have her calm down, or so he thought.
But his words only made her heart fall to her feet.
If that worked and he found out it was Alisha, that woman might spill everything she knew.
Katherine didn’t say anything. She simply nodded and headed towards her room.
Once the door was locked, she tried calling Mason but his number was still unreachable.
"Where are you, Mason?" She cried.
**
"Don’t tell that you’re still mad that your love rival is taking a nap in your house," Rico teased, a grin on his lips.
"He’s not my love rival," Dante denied while Rico nodded his head absentmindedly.
"Keep saying it until you believe it, buddy," he said as he tapped him on the shoulder. "But I have to be honest with you. It doesn’t seem like Alisha has feelings for you the way you do for her."
"I don’t have feelings for her," he denied once again, earning himself a blank expression from Rico.
"You didn’t, yet you asked to catch the man who kidnapped her and keep him in your basent just so you can torture him however you want." Then he nodded. "Of course, I believe you." There was sarcasm in his tone and Dante didn’t like it.
They were still in his mansion, specifically in the garden because Dante was trying to clear his head. Alisha had been in her room, right where Ryan was taking a nap for a reason he didn’t know or want to know.
He could have just taken a nap at his place.
"She’s still my wife, Rico. I can’t let anyone hurt her and make them think they can get away with it," he explained while Rico played with his braid.
"You’ve kept him in your basent, right under her nose for almost a week now. I’m sure that other woman is looking for him and she’s probably suspecting that Alisha was involved in her lover’s disappearance. She’s going to confront her and then what, Alisha will find out that you tortured him. You’ve already killed three n in front of her. If she finds out about this, she’s going to see you not only as a killer but a kidnapper too," Rico explained as Dante aggressively watered the flowers.
With a sigh, he dropped the hose and went to his basent where Mason was while Rico followed right behind him.
The path to the basent was actually built through his room. A wall that looked like an ordinary wall was the main door. He pushed it open and ca to a security lock that needed a password.
He entered the password and the second door opened to reveal a pathway. A pungent sll attacked their noses and made both n scrunch their faces in disgust.
"I think he’s dead," said Rico.
Once they climbed down the stairs heading to the basent, the pungent sll only beca thicker, making it unbearable to breathe.
They saw Mason who was covered with bruises and drenched in his own blood. They looked down, only to find out that the man had made a release.
