Eva was in her own room after her altercation with Katherine.
We may be sisters, but if I get the chance to end you, I’ll gladly take it.
Those words rang in her mind like a repeated clock.
She wanted to feel that way towards Katherine. After all, Katherine was one of the people who caused her to suffer.
But she couldn’t bring herself to think like that.
The door suddenly opened and Dante erged with a bag in his hand. The aroma of the food, despite still in its packaging, attacked her nose.

Food giving her energy was the bean burrito she had that morning, coupled with a vita milk.
"Sorry I took too long," he apologized. "There was a little traffic from the ongoing protest."
She gave a stiff nod, her gaze still on the packaging.
Noticing her gaze, Dante didn’t waste a mont and unpackaged her food.
When she opened the container, the aroma attacked her nose even more, causing her to dig into it without wasting a mont while Dante admired from near.
"Take it easy so you don’t choke," he said as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
When she was done, her energy was refreshed, giving her the strength to think through the things Katherine had spouted to her a few minutes ago.
"Did you have a word with Katherine?" Dante asked when he saw her deep in thought.
"She doesn’t want to have anything to do with ."
Eva had been a witness to how Keisha had been treated years ago. Keisha had been bullied a lot which forced Eva to learn how to fight back to protect Keisha.
Before Dante could say a word, the door opened ajar, and the last person he wanted to see at that mont walked in.
Ryan’s face was filled with worry when his gaze landed on Eva who had a bandage wrapped around her head and a hand cast.
He rushed towards her, subtly shoving Dante aside.
The latter glared into Ryan’s back, practically shooting daggers at him.
"Are you alright? I was so worried when I got your call. You don’t have to worry, I’ve already started tailing the car that did this to you."
When Ryan wrapped his arms around Eva, Dante lost it.
He grabbed Ryan and shoved him aside just like he’d done earlier.
"Are you blind or are you just pretending to be? Didn’t you see that we were having a conversation?" Dante questioned.
Ryan cocked up an eyebrow at Dante, scanning him from head to toe as if wondering if he was worth the attention.
Without a second thought, he ignored him once again and faced Eva.
"Do you need anything? Did you finally tell that woman that you’re both related?" He asked despite feeling the drop in temperature.
Eva considered stepping between both n but gave up the idea.
’They wouldn’t fight in a hospital,’ she thought.
"I’ll deal with her later," she responded.
Ryan didn’t say anything but only held her.
anwhile, Dante had been thinking of 107 ways to kill Ryan without his body ever getting found.
He’d co up with a few ideas and he only needed to execute them.
However, Eva seems really close with Ryan, so close that it starts to bother him whenever he sees Ryan. He made a ntal note to ask her about their relationship but for now, he can keep on coming up with ways he can get rid of him once and for all if it’s ever needed.
On Katherine’s side...
Katherine was boiling with rage. After her shouting match with Eva, she was left with an extrely banging head and the need for oxygen, completely forgetting she’d just survived a tragic accident.
Although Eva was so certain that they were sisters, she still found it hard to believe.
Eva may be evil in her story, but she knew the latter wouldn’t stoop so low to cook such a nonsensical story.
Katherine’s fists clenched hard, her veins popping.
After everything she’d done to get rid of everything that reminded her of her past, the one person she didn’t think she would et once again just had to be the sa person she’d been trying to get rid of.
The door suddenly opened with Marcus walking inside.
She’d rang him up with the nurse’s phone earlier and when she saw him, tears pooled in her eyes, tears she didn’t think she would shed, and worse, for no good reason at all.
Marcus rushed to her side and held her hand.
"How’re you feeling? Do you know who could possibly be the one behind this? Does it hurt?" He bombarded her with questions.
All she did was shake her head which made Marcus confused since he didn’t know the question she might have nodded to.
"She’s here," Katherine said.
More confusion marred Marcus’s face.
"What do you an? Who’s here?" He asked.
Katherine explained everything that happened an hour ago without leaving any details behind.
When she was done, Marcus was speechless.
He’d known that Katherine was adopted a long ti ago. She’d already told him her story but she was so scarred by it that she never ntioned it for decades.
Never in the slightest chance did he think that Eva could be her biological sister.
"So, what do you plan on doing now?" He asked.
Katherine gave it a thought. She still despised Eva with every fiber in her body. But could she continue with her plan to make Eva pay for what she’d done to her?
She couldn’t even answer that question.
"We’re leaving this city," she said after a long pause. "Let’s leave this city as soon as possible."
She didn’t want to stay here any longer. If she couldn’t bring herself to make Eva pay, then the best thing was to never see her again. And she didn’t care how long she needed to run away just so she couldn’t see Eva ever again.
"I’ll start making the preparations imdiately," said Marcus.
