The students who were already paying attention to this scene all gasped simultaneously, abuzz with comnts, "Why is Yubai sitting opposite the new student?"

"Could he be confronting the new student over so issue?"

"What issue? Do they have a feud?"

"Didn't you check the campus forum? Soone said that as soon as Sinian arrived, he took Brother Yu's spot as the school's heartthrob. How could he not feel upset about that?"

"That's an exaggeration. Sinian is handso, but I don't think he's as handso as Brother Yu."

"Actually, I think so too, but Brother Yu is not easy to talk to, while the new student seems more approachable."

"..."

Yubai and Sinian, among others, were oblivious to the students' thoughts, and even if they knew, they wouldn't care.

Seeing Yubai sit down opposite him, Sinian glanced at his plate, "Why did you get two chicken legs?"

He had seen the chicken legs when he was getting his al, but he hadn't gotten his al card yet, and had used Chuning's al card for lunch. Knowing his mom was having financial difficulties, he resisted the temptation to get a chicken leg.

Before Yubai could respond, Sinian picked up chopsticks and took a chicken leg from his plate, placing it on Chuning's plate, "You eat one."

Deng Xitong and Ban Shu, who saw the whole scene, were bewildered: "???"

Damn! What kind of move is the new student pulling, taking food from Yubai's plate and giving it to Chuning?

Is he really not afraid of being beaten up by Yubai?

For a mont, Deng Xitong and Ban Shu dared not even breathe.

As for the three main parties involved, one continued eating as if nothing had happened after taking the chicken leg, another looked at the additional chicken leg in his plate, lost in thought.

As for Yubai, he was stunned for a few seconds but soon resud eating with a normal expression, showing no intention of making a fuss with Sinian.

This lunch left Ban Shu and Deng Xitong feeling quite conflicted.

After eating, Chuning and the others went back to the classroom.

On the way back, Deng Xitong looked hesitantly at the calm duo beside her and couldn't help but speak up, "...Sinian, why did you just take a chicken leg from Yubai's plate? Weren't you afraid he'd hit you?"

Sinian: "He wouldn't dare."

Deng Xitong, surprised, "Why?"

Sinian glanced at Chuning, and just as he was about to tell Deng Xitong about his slight blood relation with Yubai, that he was Yubai's "younger brother", three girls appeared in front, "Chuning."

Chuning looked up, "What's up?"

"Do you have the audacity to ask?" One of the girls blocked her path without even glancing at Sinian and Deng Xitong. "Have you forgotten what you did to last Friday?"

Chuning looked at the three in front of her and slowly uttered an 'oh', feigning ignorance, "What did I do last Friday?"

"You..." One of them, irritated by her attitude, "Don't play dumb here, you twisted my arm last Friday, you aren't thinking of denying it, are you?"

Upon hearing this, Chuning slightly tugged at the corner of her lips, "Why would I twist your arm?"

She smiled slightly at the three, "I don't even know you."

"Damn," the short-haired girl said in a low voice, "Sister Jingjing, she's so shaless."

"Who are you calling shaless?" Chuning didn't know the three girls in front of her, nor did she know their nas, because she generally didn't keep up with school gossip. However, Deng Xitong was different; she was well-connected and well-inford within the school.

The girl in front claiming Chuning twisted her arm was nad Lin Jingjing. Like Yubai, she was in the international class. However, she was from the liberal arts section and he was from the science section.

She liked Yubai and often brought him water and towels during basketball gas at the school.

But Yubai had never accepted her kindness.

Thinking about it, Deng Xitong sneered, "Lin Jingjing, what madness is this? Chuning doesn't even know you, how could she possibly twist your arm?"

Lin Jingjing: "How do you know she doesn't know ?"

"I'm her deskmate, she's imrsed in her studies every day, how could she know a student who doesn't study like you?" Deng Xitong defended Xu Chuning vigorously.

"Deng Xitong," Lin Jingjing stomped her foot as she was called out by her classmate, "Don't go too far."

Deng Xitong chuckled, "How am I going too far? I'm just telling the truth."

She has been Xu Chuning's deskmate for quite so ti now. Although they aren't very close, Deng Xitong still understands Xu Chuning to so extent. She knows that Xu Chuning is not the type to provoke troubles actively.

If she really twisted Lin Jingjing's arm, it must be because Lin did sothing excessive.

Lin Jingjing gritted her teeth, about to pull Deng Xitong's hair and start a fight, but Shen Sinian quickly grabbed Deng Xitong's arm, pulling her back and stood in front of her, "You want to fight?"

He looked down at Lin Jingjing condescendingly.

"Who are you?" Lin Jingjing glared with wide eyes at the boy blocking her way.

"?" Shen Sinian sneered, "You're not worthy to know who I am."

With that rebuttal, Lin Jingjing's face turned from pale to green. Knowing she couldn't do anything to Shen Sinian, she turned her anger towards Xu Chuning, repeating the word 'good' several tis and snorted, "Xu Chuning, you're amazing, just you wait."

After saying that, she and her two girlfriends fled the scene.

"..."

"Is she crazy," Deng Xitong muttered as she ca back to her senses, "Xu Chuning, do you really have conflicts with them?"

She rembered to ask.

Xu Chuning: "I did last Friday."

Deng Xitong: "What happened?"

She was surprised.

Xu Chuning was exasperated, "She stopped last Friday and said I was chasing Shen Yubai, told to be more self-aware. I said I wasn't, but she didn't believe it, and then we started fighting."

Deng Xitong: "..."

Shen Sinian: "..."

"Her eyes are okay, right?" Shen Sinian couldn't help saying.

Deng Xitong had heard about this incident too, but they asked Xu Chuning last Friday and knew there wasn't much of a relationship between her and Shen Yubai.

However, from today's lunch perspective, Deng Xitong actually felt there was sothing strange between Xu Chuning and Shen Yubai, not too familiar, but not completely strangers either.

Of course, Deng Xitong just thought about this and didn't say it out loud.

The three walked back to the classroom in silence. Xu Chuning intended to rest her head on the desk for a while, just as she laid down, the phone in the desk hole vibrated. It was given to her by Shen Sinian in the morning, saying it was for Shen Yubai's use, but he had no use for it and it was better for her.

Xu Chuning declined, it was bought for him by Shen Yubai, it wasn't appropriate for her to take it.

Unexpectedly, Shen Sinian sent a text directly to Shen Yubai, informing him that the phone was being used by Xu Chuning now, and to contact Xu Chuning first if he needed sothing.

The current ssage was indeed from Shen Yubai, asking how Shen Sinian was adapting in the class.

Even though both were only seventeen-year-old high school students, knowing that Shen Sinian was his son, their ntality matured a bit when dealing with matters regarding Shen Sinian.

Even before reaching the true mindset of parents, they tried their best to take responsibility.

Thus, Shen Yubai was concerned about Shen Sinian's academic affairs.

Looking at this ssage, Xu Chuning was silent for a mont, then replied: [Not bad, slept all morning.]

Shen Yubai: [...Truly my son.]

Xu Chuning: "..."

Why is he so proud?
