David looked at Tyler with a shocked, confused, complex and complicated look on his face.
He looked at Tyler trying to see if he was maybe joking but knowing the kid well and the solemn look he has on his face at the mont, he knew that this was no joke.
He was really really serious about what he said. David rembered how his instincts were screaming at him the day Tyler made the offer to him, and told him to co work for him.
Then he had ignored it, because the money the money was too good to walk away from. But he was starting to regret it now.
As soone who understood how the world works, he understood the kind of chaos Tyler would raise if he actually intends to go ahead with what he just said.
This was completely different from trying to subtly and stealthy control a country through its corrupt officials. No, this was way beyond that.
The first company was already a global leader in GPUs, the second was the world’s most advanced chip foundry.
Trying to recreate either was a moonshot. Combining both? That’s delusional.
Creating sothing that’s a combination of both company in a country like Gumua, an African country was sothing that even at a modest scale—it would be the geopolitical, economic, and technological equivalent of detonating a non-nuclear superweapon on the global stage.
David exhaled hard, his mind already racing through the implications.
If Tyler pulled this off—even partially—it would change everything.
For Gumua? It would be revolutionary. A GPU fab on African soil would instantly elevate the country into a technological hub, giving it leverage against global powers.
The nation would go from being a passive observer in the global tech arms race to becoming a wild card.
Silicon Valley, Taiwan, South Korea, and China would be forced to pay attention.
Gamua would gain:
Massive geopolitical weight, as global powers scramble to monitor and potentially suppress such a developnt.
Tech investnt influx, both from allies and opportunists seeking access to bleeding-edge tech.
National pride and political capital, boosting the governnt’s internal approval if spun as a state-backed achievent.
Target status, as foreign intelligence agencies, corporations, and economic saboteurs aim to investigate, disrupt, or co-opt it.
But for all the potential benefits, the risks were equally massive.
The country would co under imnse pressure—sanctions, trade restrictions, infiltration.
Foreign powers would deploy every tool of influence to either gain access or ensure the project’s failure.
And if it were discovered that a single teenager—with zero military or political backing—was the driving force?
That would be catastrophic.
Tyler Reyes would go from being an unknown to a na whispered in boardrooms and intelligence briefings.
David, Helena, and anyone even remotely tied to him would be placed under surveillance or worse.
David swallowed hard. Now he understood why his gut reaction was so strong. Why his body had gone still the mont Tyler spoke.
He looked at the kid again—no, not a kid.
A storm in human form.
Once again, he looked at Tyler, as he tried to understand what the kid in front of him an by what he’s trying to do.
Tyler had given David the ti to process what he had said but after more than few minutes, David was still looking out of it.
He completely understood David’s reaction and whatever thoughts that might be going through his head at the mont.
Tyler completely understand everything but that won’t change his mind. He already had a plan and he was going to go ahead with it. But he will still need David’s help.
He sighed heavily, looking at David.
"David," He called his na to get his attention.
He saw David looking at him with a very solemn expression and he knew that he had gotten his attention.
"Ask whatever question you have," he said simply.
David sighed heavily, hearing Tyler’s words. He went silent for a few seconds and the next mont, he started shooting barrages of questions at Tyler.
He didn’t ask Tyler if he was insane, as to him, he was nothing short but crazy. Instead, he started asking serious questions.
"Alright, let’s talk reality. First—how the hell are you funding sothing like this? You do realize we’re talking billions, right? Fine. Let’s say you sohow fund it. What about the geopolitical blowback?"
"You think other countries won’t notice? This isn’t a lemonade stand. This is tech war bait. What about the talent pipeline?"
"You planning to recruit Stanford grads to the bush? What about supply chain choke points? You’re not just gonna call up ASML and ask for a machine?"
"Have you thought about power infrastructure? That thing’s gonna eat energy like a monster. Last one—security. And I an real security. You do understand just how risky this is?"
Tyler smiled, hearing David’s questions. He knew that he was now back to his normal self.
"I’m not building the company for comrcial purposes. The reason why I want to do it is because I need it to create custom chips for personal use," he explained.
David was shocked when he heard this. Soone creating a company for personal use was sothing he never thought he would hear in his lifeti.
He had already done his calculations on how much in estimate it would had cost Tyler to set everything up and also the production cost, and it was tens of billions of dollars.
Even though this was going to be for personal use, which ans the production scale wasn’t going to be that high but he still estimate everything to cost Tyler billions of dollars.
Spending billions of dollars to create a company for personal use now was a whole new level of throwing money around.
David couldn’t help but feel that the kid in front of him was deviating from the norms even more with each passing day.
Though David was shocked and all, he didn’t interrupt Tyler, allowing to continue what he was saying.
"I understand your concerns on the funding but it won’t be an issue," Tyler said, continuing his explanation.
With VaultPay now live, Tyler can scale up his daily profit. But even with that, he won’t be able to get the $4B he estimated for the whole project in a single day, but he estimates that it would take him less than a month to get the money.
Also, he doesn’t exactly have to wait around until the whole money was ready. No, he can start imdiately and continue that way.
As for the issue of geopolitical blowback, he explained to David that they won’t make it public.
"You will hide it from Gumua’s governnt?" David asked curiously.
"Yes," Tyler nodded.
"Understandable," David nodded in understanding.
They can’t exactly tell Gumua’s governnt official that they are creating sothing like that and expect them to help.
The both of them understood how twisted human nature was and he can’t risk anything by making it public.
"We will disguise the company as a small tech company creating agritechs. We will do the set up for the front company. This way, they will be able to hide it in plain sight," Tyler explained.
"Smart. Everyone ignores agri," David nodded slowly, "But since you’re going to equip the front company, it ans that you’re going to spending more. Though I guess you’ve already thought of that."
"I have," Tyler nodded.
"As for the talent pipeline, supply chain choke point, power infrastructure and security issues, I already have a solution to all of the."
David sighed, hearing Tyler’s explanations. He saw the look on the kid’s face and he knew that he already had everything mapped out.
He sighed once more and asked, "When do you want to get started and what do you need to do?"
