Capítulo 1960: Chapter 1851: Intention_5

Zhang Dongfang had no choice but to leave the office and go directly to the old man’s house.

Although Mr. Fletcher was still the bank manager, most of the bank’s affairs had been taken over by his eldest daughter. He was now idling away at ho, spending his days studying the mysterious Eastern culture.

Song Xiaodong’s dical skill and incredible combat techniques left Mr. Fletcher in complete awe.

Zhang Dongfang drove straight towards the castle where Mr. Fletcher resided.

Upon pushing the door open, Mr. Fletcher was sitting in a chair, his face dark, forehead creased with clear lines, eyebrows raised, nostrils flaring, lips tightly shut, casting a silent gaze at Zhang Dongfang.

Mr. Fletcher, nearly 70 years old, was obese with a shiny forehead and a full beard. He stared at Zhang Dongfang, exuding an overwhelming presence.

“Mr. Fletcher, you wanted to see .”

“Did you go to the mainland and et with Song Xiaodong, Mr. Song?” Mr. Fletcher’s face was full of anger, but his voice remained calm, suppressing his rage that was ready to explode.

“Hmm?” Zhang Dongfang was puzzled. How did his father-in-law know there was a Song Xiaodong in Minghe?

“Yes.” Zhang Dongfang had to answer honestly.

“Did you offend him?” Mr. Fletcher continued to inquire.

“Why would I offend him? He was the one who insulted

first!”

“Bastard!” Mr. Fletcher erupted, grabbing the fruit platter from the sofa and throwing it at Zhang Dongfang.

Frightened, Zhang Dongfang stepped back and asked, “What happened, sir? Why such anger?”

“Get back to the mainland, apologize to Mr. Song, and continue discussing the investnt matters. If you co back without investing a single cent, you won’t get a cent from the will either!”

The Ruitu people are very shrewd, similar to the Jewish people; they have a strong sense of money. Even among family mbers, emotions and money are separate.

Hearing Mr. Fletcher say this, Zhang Dongfang finally felt a twinge of fear. He lowered his head, dared not look at Mr. Fletcher, and said, “Sir, why are you siding with an outsider? Song Xiaodong bullied

and called

a traitor!”

“He insults you, he hits you, you have to endure it!” Upon hearing this, Fletcher got even angrier, stepped forward to kick Zhang Dongfang, but age took its toll, and his legs weren’t very nimble anymore. He lifted his foot but missed.

Zhang Dongfang jumped back in fear again.

“Without him, I would’ve been dead five years ago. Where would you get the chance to be arrogant? Mr. Song saved my life!” Fletcher pointed at Zhang Dongfang’s nose and said.

“Huh? Isn’t he from Minghe? How could he save your life?” Zhang Dongfang was entirely puzzled.

“Minghe? He used to be a special forces soldier! A soldier! A special person!” ntioning Song Xiaodong again caused Mr. Fletcher to feel admiration. He sat back down on the sofa.

“Back then, I was kidnapped by an international cri syndicate. They demanded a ransom of ten billion. It was Mr. Song and his team who rescued . Song Xiaodong single-handedly killed ten ex-special forces soldier bandits and saved my life with just two silver needles. Without Mr. Song, I might have been dead long ago, or at the very least, I would’ve lost this leg!” Mr. Fletcher patted his leg, then looked up at Zhang Dongfang with a look of disdain.

“You’re leaving now! Go back to Hua Country, secure the investnt deal for , and apologize to Mr. Song!” Fletcher shouted at Zhang Dongfang.

“But I just got back yesterday!” Zhang Dongfang was unwilling.

“Are you going or not?” Fletcher’s eyes almost bulged out as he pointed at Zhang Dongfang’s forehead and asked.

“Go, go, go!” Having no choice, Zhang Dongfang agreed.

Over here, Song Xiaodong comnced the third day of diving training when he received a call from Lin Feng during a break: “Sect Leader, the Dark Night Sect is on the move. We might have to depart early!”

“But we just started our diving training.” Song Xiaodong wasn’t too satisfied with the diving progress.

“There’s no other way. We received the information too late and weren’t prepared enough.” Lin Feng was also a bit worried.

“Alright then, we’ll go et the Dark Night Sect. Even if we don’t dive, we’ll harass them a bit from the surface!” Song Xiaodong made up his mind.

“Oh right, bring along that diving coach too,” Lin Feng said.

“Hmm? Why?” Song Xiaodong asked, puzzled.

“She can be crucial in saving your lives at a critical mont,” Lin Feng explained.

“Alright then.” Song Xiaodong agreed.

Song Xiaodong approached Xu Duoduo and said, “Coach Xu, I’m really sorry, but our diving course will likely end here.”

“Huh? Why?” Xu Duoduo asked.

“We don’t have ti anymore,” Song Xiaodong replied honestly.

“You’re not thinking of diving right now, are you? Do you have a death wish?” Xu Duoduo guessed the situation.

“Yes, to be honest, Coach Xu, we’re left with no choice.”

“You’re really crazy!” Xu Duoduo stomped in frustration.

“Then, I’ll go with you!” Xu Duoduo unexpectedly offered to go with Song Xiaodong.

“This…” Song Xiaodong didn’t expect Xu Duoduo to volunteer. He was montarily at a loss for words.
