Capítulo 1583: Chapter 1542: Escape (Part 4)

Sun Enyang was already in the Iron Plank Bridge posture, seemingly unable to dodge any further.

However, a master is a master. At this mont, Sun Enyang tapped the ground with his toes, incredibly sliding backward while maintaining that posture. At the sa ti, he waved his arms, already using his sleeves to block the silver needles that were right in front of him.

“Go!” Song Xiaodong shouted, pulling Chu Xianling’s arm and charging into the forest.

Sun Enyang stood upright and saw Song Xiaodong and Chu Xianling dash into the forest, letting out a cold laugh before pursuing them.

Song Xiaodong and Chu Xianling’s movent techniques were extrely fast, but Sun Enyang’s movents were even faster. Within a few minutes, the distance between the three was reduced to just over ten ters.

“Kid, if you think you can escape, there’s no way.” Sun Enyang coldly shouted from behind.

Song Xiaodong snorted and said, “Then you just keep chasing.”

“Sothing seems wrong ahead,” Chu Xianling suddenly reminded Song Xiaodong.

The direction they were running in was getting higher in elevation, but at the end of it, there was an exceptionally steep slope.

This ti, however, Song Xiaodong was not panicked. He wrapped his arm around Chu Xianling’s waist and leaped directly down.

Chu Xianling couldn’t help but feel a shock, not expecting Song Xiaodong to be so reckless. Although there were many tree canopies below, jumping down like this was quite dangerous.

Yet, this recklessness gave Chu Xianling an indescribable sensation—it felt thrilling, and this thrill actually made her quite excited as well.

In fact, not far below the cliff was the top of a large tree. After Song Xiaodong and Chu Xianling broke a few slender branches with their feet, most of the impact was absorbed. Then, using a thick branch as leverage, they rebounded, sending their bodies flying again.

Chu Xianling couldn’t help but admire Song Xiaodong’s thod. The main thing required was enough courage and precision—without it, one might misstep or lose balance, risking being impaled by a branch.

“You think you can escape like this?” Just as Chu Xianling was still feeling excited, Sun Enyang’s voice ca from behind. He had also jumped down.

Song Xiaodong didn’t even look back, pulling Chu Xianling along as they leaped forward. Finally, they spotted a vine, grabbed it, and swung away.

This thod had been used every ti he was pursued by Qingluan.

Back then, Qingluan was far superior to him, but using this technique, he managed to keep Qingluan from catching up.

Now it was the sa—Song Xiaodong, relying on this thod, was significantly faster than his own movent technique alone.

Sun Enyang had not expected Song Xiaodong to use such a tactic.

Even though he possessed significant power, he typically relied on his own formidable strength, unlike Song Xiaodong, who constantly looked to utilize any available thing around him.

Exhaustively threading through the tree canopies, the distance between Sun Enyang and Song Xiaodong grew wider and wider. Sun Enyang also tried to use the ropes in the forest to pursue Song Xiaodong, but he wasn’t as proficient in its use. By the ti he had figured it out, Song Xiaodong and Chu Xianling had already vanished from sight.

“It seems we lost him.” Chu Xianling said, held by Song Xiaodong and observing the situation behind them with ease. Discovering Sun Enyang was nowhere to be seen, she couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.

Song Xiaodong said, “I can’t be sure of that. I keep feeling like this guy has so special way of finding us.”

Chu Xianling also said, “Yeah, like this morning, we were in that tree at such a hidden spot—how did he find us?”

“I’m beginning to suspect he has a dog’s nose…” As Song Xiaodong said this, he suddenly added, “There could really be such a possibility. He might locate us by scent, so no matter how we escape, he could find us by following our scent.”

“Then what should we do?” Chu Xianling asked.

Song Xiaodong squinted and said, “I have an idea. Let’s first find a river.”

Chu Xianling imdiately said, “Right, it seems river water could wash away our scent, preventing him from tracking us further.”
