Chapter 1377: Chapter 1362: Serious Disciplinary Action

“Let’s talk properly later, okay, let’s talk properly.” Chen Zhengmin, not wanting Song Xiaodong to ntion the donation, quickly put on a smile.

Song Xiaodong squinted slightly and said, “There’s nothing for

to talk about with you.”

“Well… I’ll definitely co by to apologize and resolve the matter between us properly, don’t worry.” Chen Zhengmin’s aning was clear, he was willing to concede on the donation issue as well.

Song Xiaodong said nothing more, while Chief Zhao imdiately instructed the police officer, “Hurry up and remove his handcuffs!”

The officer hesitated for a mont, slowly moving forward, but Song Xiaodong calmly remarked, “When you arrested , I told you it was easy to arrest , but getting

out wouldn’t be so simple.”

Chief Zhao quickly said to Song Xiaodong, “Sir, I know the manner in which our officer executed the law was wrong, and I will handle it sternly.”

“I think your words are quite reasonable, at least you’re not aiding villains like the deputy chief. But I’m curious to hear how you plan to handle this matter?”

“Well…” Chief Zhao hesitated too; the issue was not too big nor too small. According to regulations, the deputy chief and those involved would certainly face consequences, but given they’re colleagues, going too hard on them seed unreasonable and wouldn’t be conducive to future work, fostering a thought of compromise, he said, “This matter…”

Just then his phone rang abruptly; upon seeing the number, he quickly said, “We’ll discuss this later, let

take this call.”

Urgently he walked out to the corridor, answered the phone, and said, “Director He, this is Xiao Zhao.”

“Did your station detain a teaching volunteer nad Song?” An urgent voice ca through the phone.

“Yes…” Hearing Director He’s tone, Chief Zhao felt sothing was amiss and quickly replied, “This matter was carried out by the deputy chief, I’m looking into the situation now.”

“Damn it, you arrested a teaching volunteer, what exactly are your people doing? Also, that Chen Zhengmin is embezzling donations, you must imdiately send people to arrest him.”

Chief Zhao instantly widened his eyes, “What? Doesn’t this require so procedures?”

“Procedures can follow, go arrest them now, and also Zhao Qiang, the village chief, arrest him too. With such a shady character in your township, what exactly are your people doing?”

“Yes! Yes!” Chief Zhao straightened his chest, sweat pouring down his forehead. He was well aware of Zhao Qiang and Chen Zhengmin’s misdeeds, but couldn’t handle them due to certain relations. With the higher-ups suddenly categorizing this, the implications were self-evident.

“I’ll get the suspects arrested imdiately, I’ve wanted to arrest these two for a long ti. Furthermore, this involves so of our officers; how should this matter be handled?”

“All those involved, none should be spared,” Director He’s tone was absolutely firm.

“I understand!”

Ending the call, Chief Zhao waved his hand, saying to a passing officer, “Assemble all personnel imdiately, we have a major mission tonight.”

The officer hesitated for a mont and quickly went to make arrangents.

Chief Zhao took a deep breath, then re-entered the interrogation room, heading directly to Song Xiaodong, first bowing to him, “Mr. Song, I apologize for your treatnt; I represent the entire township’s police station in apologizing to you.”

Being a station chief for many years, Chief Zhao understood that such swift handling of this matter was certainly related to Song Xiaodong, so his first priority was to express his stance to Song Xiaodong.

“We will promptly handle the donation embezzlent issue, and together with Zhao Qiang’s gang-related activities, educational matters are foundational to our country; these individuals undermining education deserve no pardon, we will handle it with utmost severity.”

Chief Li was a comndable official too; upon hearing Chief Zhao’s position, he imdiately understood the implications and quickly stepped forward, lanting, “As the township chief, I am truly ashad; for sothing as important as education to have such issues, from now on I will personally oversee donation matters to prevent such issues from occurring again.”

At this mont, Chen Zhengmin’s face turned extrely grim and he tried to head towards the door, sensing extre danger here; if he didn’t leave promptly, he might never be able to leave.

“Stop!” Chief Zhao had been watching Chen Zhengmin closely, imdiately glaring and blocking Chen Zhengmin in his tracks.

Chen Zhengmin swallowed hard, his voice parched as he said, “Chief Zhao, what are you doing?”

Chief Zhao said solemnly, “Doing what? Hmph, you are suspected of embezzlent and gang activity; now you need to stay here and assist in the investigation.”

“Old Zhao, we don’t have to go this far, do we?” Chen Zhengmin smirked, still trying to manipulate relations.

But Chief Zhao showed no leniency, coldly saying, “You’d better cooperate with our station’s work, hand over your phone.”

“Chief Li…” Chen Zhengmin imdiately turned to Chief Li.

Chief Li snorted, “Chief Zhao, handle this matter publicly; deal with it as necessary, our official team indeed needs so housekeeping.”

Hearing the two speak this way, Chen Zhengmin’s face turned ashen, realizing the seriousness of the matter, as he thought of ways to resolve it, Chief Zhao directly cuffed him and seized his phone.
